Hi there!
We had our pool deck redone last year, but unfortunately, the cement was laid improperly. The deck is 3 ft wide circumference around a 16 ft by 32 ft pool. We are just looking to replace the current concrete with a basic concrete deck. We had tried to resurface it originally (for $5000) but to no avail - the topper keeps chipping off. Thus, we want to just replace it.
We also installed a new coping and liner last year so we are hoping to not disturb it. Another contractor we spoke with said it would be possible to ensure the coping remains protected by cutting around the perimeter first and then chisseling the remaining cement from the coping.
If you could give me a price estimate of what it would be to install a basic rectangular cement deck, that would be great! We just want something that is structurally sound - basic broom swept.
Thank you!
Elisha
I am looking to get a quote on chimney repair. The clay tile needs to be redone and also the concrete is sloped on 3 sides but flat on the 4th and water has been sipping in, so also the concrete needs to be formed into a crown and preferably sealed with a polymer so it doesn't crack again. The concrete and the top of the chimney are badly cracked. Also the metal top is quite heavy.
Thank you!

Replacement of front steps and landing. Existing structure is box constructed of 4x4 wood members, filled with gravel and topped with gray pavers. Landing is 61.5" L x 40" W at a height of 58". Bottom of the door is 66" from the ground. There are seven steps, each with a rise of 7" and a run of 11.25". They are also 4x4 wood framed, filled with gravel and topped with gray pavers. Total run from house to bottom step is 117". I haven't decided on the final materials yet, and am looking for input from the builder. Options are to just replace the existing structure with another of the same build, or replace with precast steps or poured concrete. I would also like to increase the run of the steps and decrease the rise slightly, which may increase the overall length of the stairs or the number of steps. I would need at least the footings for a railing installed as well. Pictures of the existing structure are attached.
I require a 9' x 9' pad for my hot tub. I have started the project, dug the area where the pad will go. I want to do a base with patio stones. I had intended to do this on my own. I had placed 1" and a half of Granular A screenings down, then tried to tamp it a day after rain, and it is still wet as if it isn't draining. I still have 3/4 of the cubic yard left, and I also have 8 bags of concrete sand for the job.
The north inside foundation wall of my garage has flaked or peeled, exposing the stones in the concrete mix. I am thinking that parging will solve the problem.
I need someone to look at the problem and give me an estimate.
I am the owner. It is only 1 foundation wall, the depth of a garage.
I know it is a small job, but I would appreciate a response.
Thank you.
