We are in need of:
replacing lights at our house
relocating smoke/carbon monoxide units ( multiple units currently in use) in a couple areas.
Installing new modern outlets in strategic locations with the house
Lastly, advice on best replacement lighting and possibly electric heating units for our newly enclosed front porch.
Currently moving into a 5 year old home in Whitby Ont beginning of June inquuiring about the cost of interior pot light installation, valance lighting installation and also moving a power oulet and cable above the fireplace.
Thinking of 20 or so potlights, so would really appreciate a rough estimate.
Install new Microwave over stove (currently only a range hood, will need property plug in for Microwave)
Install 2 ceiling fans in two bedrooms main floor.
relocate dining room light fixture over dining room table and install new light fixture.
Basement; Install light fixture over vanity (bsmt washroom), install ceiling light fixture in bsmt washroom. (Wiring is in place)
Install two bedroom light fixtures in basement.
Install wall switch in basement storage area. (Light fixture is there but needs replacing, I have replacement)
Outside front door install motion light.
I had a small-medium sized fire in the basement of my duplex and unfortunately everything was gutted but 95% of the electrical wiring and studs are still left. There is no drywall up and its ready to for electrical. The current wiring is not damaged at all, there are some lines which have been cut because 2-3 walls with studs had to be removed - everything is else is still up and its in original position. There are some things I'd like to add:
1. 15 Pot lights throughout the basement. (Wiring for the single ceiling lights are all still there.) I can provide the potlights - boxes are not needed as I will use the home depot ones - 10 for $50)
2. 4-6 plugs need to be added. (A couple walls where taken down and electrical as well but the new ones could probably be joined with existing sockets nearby)
3. 4 three way switches. (One to control living room potlights from 2 locations, and one to control hall/stairway light from top & bottom of stairway)
4. Wiring for smoke alarm in basement is still there, need to add wiring for a carbon minoxide device in the basement, and new wiring for a smoke/CO device in the upstairs.
Notes:
- The panel right now is a 220V
- Has to be done with permit, please dont msg me if you dont pull permits.
- I'd like to get an estimate to add another hydro meter as well (It is a legal duplex)
Please e-mail me so we can setup an appointment to get an exact quote for this job - but you get the idea. If you want to give me a rough estimate, please feel free to do so as well.
Looking for an electrician to wire and install pot lights in our basement. (Room is approximately 20 x 16 feet) Ceiling has been removed, so installation would be done before drywalling begins. Some inspection and clean up of some previous wiring will be needed. (once we took down the existing ceiling, there are some wires and light boxes that we don't believe are properly installed).
Looking for estimates, but quotes preferred. We are available to set up a visit.
We live in Whitby.
Hoping to start as soon as possible, once we have an idea about cost.
Hello,
I am looking to have some basic electrical work done in my house. It is an older house with aluminum wiring, and I am looking to have 7 light fixtures installed (I have already purchased the fixtures, and they will be replacing existing fixtures). I am looking for a quote on adding a second wall light to the master bedroom. There is currently one light mounted on the wall, but I would like a second installed on a different wall to improve the light quality in the room. If you could provide me with a rough quote on these installations, I would be greatly appreciative.
I need the electrical done for a hot tub. I have the 50 amp GFCI to go on the outside of the house. Our basement is finished, but we have dropped ceilings, so wire could be easily carried through the ceiling. I do not have a 50 amp breaker for the electrical panel. The panel also looks full, but I have read that two 15 amps could buddy up in one slot, or a sub panel could be put in.
Take out dividing walls on the family room and dining room and kitchen with vents and electrical wiring to be rerouted . May need to remove posts (about 5 of them) or replaced with decorated columns on hallways.

Currently undergoing a whole home renovation. converting a semi-detached home into 2 units for future rental potential, however, currently 2 brothers and their families moving in. Permits from City in Place.
Looking to move the electrical panel to a new approved spot and upgrade it to 200 AMPS. Also looking to install new pot lights in basement and new wiring of outlets upstairs and downstairs. Will also need to install interconnected Smoke and CO alarms. Lastly, looking to have all wiring needed for 2 kitchens and 2 washers/dryers.
I want to upgrade my exiting 60 amp service to a 100 or 200 amp. The house will be rented out, upstairs and downstairs seperately.
I am thinking of doing 100 amp only because there won't be AC in the house, and there will only be one common area for laundry.
I am located in Whitby. What would it cost me to do this, and I would appreciate your honest opinion on if I need a 100 or 200 amp service.
Thanks alot
Frank
