enlarge the current 1 car garage to about 25 ft wide by about 45 ft deep, add second floor with master suite, 2 bathrooms and 1 other bedroom. Now you would have an L shape house, add to the back of the house a room about 35 ft by 35 ft with a roof that would angle down from the second floor allowing for a staircase. Looking for a ball park price on the additions not including the flooring or bathrooms just to get an idea of how much would have to be spent on the house so I can decide how much the original house is worth. Original house has basement but no basement required for addition, craw space only.
11' x 4' area by 11' x 4' (square) in basement
Want to put in a bar, black in colour, with sink as laundry room is behind the one wall. Corner focal point of the bar, to seat 4 people minimum, want cabinets on both walls also and backsplash. Also need laminate ripped up and ceramic tile put down in this bar area. Would also like some of the same black decor put around the fireplace as a mantal that is in the family room next to the bar room. Would like berber put down in the family room and laminate ripped up.

Would like drywall/ insulation installed on ceiling and surrounding walls with a built in bar, recessed light fixtures, and some wiring done for addidtional plugs . Would also like roughed in plumbinhg done for future bathroom.
Would like this project to be completed in a timely manner.
Looking for quotes for the following:
1) Change out wooden support beam to Steel I-Beam 34ft in length. calculations confirmed by P.Eng
2) Basement renovation, (basement has been gutted) will need plumbing and electrical. Plans have been drawn up.
I have just purchased a 50ish year old house with 50% finished basement. I would like to renovate the basement in phases (if possible) for budgeting purposes. Could anyone suggest the course of actions and types of contractors I should approach for each phase?
Let me describe the current state of the basement. In the 50% finished section: 60s-dated carpet, wood panel wall & ceiling, a wood-burning stove with broken glass. In the other 50% unfinished section: one shower stall, a fruit cellar, painted concrete floor & bare-concrete block wall. On the bare wall on the west and south corner, two small crack lines: one runs vertical (south) and one runs horizontal (west). A home inspector told me that it is not serious or urgent issue, but I need to keep an eye on it. There are three small windows, one each on South, North and West sides of the basement walls.
Here are things I want to do/have in the finished basement:
1. Open up the whole area of the basement, but section it out by Shoji screen/dividend into utility area, entertaining area with gas fireplace where it can also be used as guest quarter when needed. Warm flooring (with or without radiant heat), light wall and ceiling.
2. A full bathroom (3 or 4 pc)
3. An egress window on the west side (into the backyard)
How can I achieve my goal in phases? I would appreciate if you (contractors) could suggest me the steps and logical approaches. Each morning, I wake up with new idea of either checking the wall of the finished part to see how good the insulation is, ripping the wood-panel out and insulating every wall at once, ripping the carpet out, outing the wood-burning stove, buying a new gas fireplace, installing a new gas laundry dryer, and on and on, in different orders.
Please give me some insightful steps, and directions!!
Full basement, I would like to have a stairwell down below ground level put in a retaining wall, tie in drainage and a door installed into the cinder block basement. Carpentry work on inside is a non-issue, only outside work and door installation. The Door entrance at basement grade needs to be wide enough for ems and stretcher to enter and leave without tipping or up ending to enter leave building.
I purchased the tub/shower base to replace an existing tub. there is a ceramic wall up already which i was hoping to keep. this is in a condo I have purchased. My bathroom renovater bailed on me and I'm running out of time.
We move in October 11th. My husband is disabled and needs this walk in shower base. It's no longer safe to use a regular step over tub because of his balance issues.
My condo is very old, about 23 years. I would like to get it out of the 80's look. The bathroom is very small, I only need very basic remodeling, such as replace the tiles on the wall and on the floor, replace the bath tub and toilet, replace the sink, reface the cabinet / vanity, repaint the bathroom, etc. Also, I would like to repair or replace my closet doors, and repaint the whole condo. If these can be done first, that would be great! I also need to do kitchen remodeling. I need to reface the cabinets, and countertop. replace the floor tiles, and repaint the kitchen.
My condo is located in Windsor, Ontario.
Thank you very much!
Complete gut the bathroom/new plumbing/electrical/toilet/tub/glass shower/stone tile/lighting/vents/possible heated floor
Fireplace mantle lowered/ or new face to make room for a large screen tv above fireplace
Kitchen - possibly removing a wall putting in new cupboards and appliances - cooking island or bar style lsland leading into dining room - will have to move electrical and gas line most likely.
I was someone with a vision and is creative based on my vision. I want a fair price - all legal this includes permits etc...
Dont mind multiple contractors if you are focused on one of the projects
Thanks
Terry
Hello I live in windsor ontario with my wife and kids. We have a ranch style home with a full basement and attached 2 car garage that is about 20 years old. We love our home but with the home being this old some renos need to be done like furnace and air, windows and doors, you know basic upgrades. There is one thing that is not an upgrade but something that needs to be done, a grade entrance from the basement.as there is only one way in and out. So that being said we were looking into making this happen. The foundation is poured and is approx. 7 to 8 feet in the ground, there is a deck out back alone with the a/c unit but we think there would be room to do the job. We understand this is a big, messy and costly job but in order to enjoy our basement, this job must be done.
Thank you

Architect plan is ready; currently being reviewed by the City of Windsor.
Looking for a concrete grade entrance to single story detached house.
Dimensions:
Window 1 & 2 : 30" x 24"
Window 3 : 30" x 30"
Egress Window 4 : 30" x 30"
Grade entrance (see attached image)
Other details will be provided upon request.
I would like to build a garage at least 24 by 30. Maybe wider and longer depending on permits. I live in south windsor, approx 35' from house to property line and lots of room the other direction for placement.
1 man door 1 double car door no windows. Electrical sub panel with 220. Siding. Pending on price I also need a new roof done soon and my basement leaks, so I need that repaired as well. I know how to do everything listed as well as the cost of materials but have no time to do it, and dont want the hassel of city permits. Curious of a rough estimate of cost of at least the garage if not everything listed.
I have an area in a bedroom that needs repair due to a roof leak which has been rectified.
I would estimate the area to be about 10 sq/ft
The house is 80+ years old has plaster walls and ceilings and would like to keep the integrity of our home intact
There is an older concern in the bathroom about 4 sq/ft again with plaster.
I also have a need of wallpapering one wall in our dining room (paper to be supplied) 11X7 with a 5X3 window in center of wall
I need a new standard bi fold door in a bedroom complete with all new track and hardware
Possibility of refitting bathroom with our own vanity and toilet
We would like to remove/close off a grade entrance to basement and fill the exterior where the stairs down to the entrance or basement is currently. The grade entrance is surrounded by stamped concrete and we would like to have concrete replace the opening where the grade entrance currently exists.
Hello, I would like a quote on renovations I am doing for 2 houses I am buying.
The first house requires redoing 3 bathrooms, remodel the kitchen, add 2 new bedrooms, all new flooring and paint.
The second house requires some flooring, all new paint, and redoing 2 bathrooms.
Please let me know when I could have someone come to take a look, thanks
I have a mobile home with a enclosed porch I would like this demolished and along half the side of home opened up with a addition approximately 6 feet wide. The roof has no pitch I also need this fixed and a carport along side from addition to front added. Leakage from rain coming in had caused damage in some ceiling of home need this fixed also
Small back porch (already covered) to be converted into a laundry room.Washer and dryer currently in den (an earlier addition). This back porch is an unenclosed part of that addition. I would like to use that space where the washer and dryer was as a dining space as it is off the kitchen. I would also like to move the hot water tank to the new laundry room ( it is in a hallway next to the bathroom) I would like to install a patio door to go from the new dining space to the back yard. I would need the whole 2 spaces redrywalled and a ceiling also with fixtures...The house is a 2 bedroom wartime
We have a 1 and a half storey house, approx. 40 feet wide and 50 feet long. Soulierre Solutions placed a metal beam under the house some time ago ( prior to us purchasing the house ) as it is our understanding the uppper section of the house was an addition and this beam was for additional support. ?
We are not sure of what is involved or if it is even possible. Any estimates, suggestions or advice ( ex. can will still live in the house while work is on going ? ) would be greatly appreciated.
I have a dining room ceiling that has come down a bit at the outside edge. The part that is falling is about 1' x 2'. However there is another spot that was fixed by the previous owner, and it is the popcorn ceiling, so I am thinking just replace the whole thing. That way "Safe and Sound" could also be installed at the same time.
Thanks
Hello, I am looking to have a fence put up in between my 83 year old mothers house and the house next to hers, the neighbour has a large dog that startles my mother each time she is in her garden. She currently has a chain link fence which I would like kept up and a six foot wooden one installed. Apparently the dog chews thru the wooden fence on the other side. Approximately 60' with a gate on one end
Also looking to have her kitchen moved around to get more counter space and possibly reface cupboards.
Please contact me directly if interested
