This a single chimney for wood-burning fireplace on 2-floor semi-detached house.
- The concrete cap/crown has cracked in 2 places and has a chunk missing and needs to be replaced.
- Top tile (rectangular clay piece sticking out from the top of the chimney) has cracked as well. It is help together by the cap, but most probably has to be replaced as well.
- In addition, 2 bricks on the chimney have spalled (they are located in the middle section of the chimney). They will probably deteriorate further if not taken care of.
Please see the attached pictures. Descriptions of the pictures are as follows:
#1 - Shows a general view of the chimney. Ours is on the left. The one on the right is our neighbours' who are attached to us (the house is a 2-story semi-detached).
#2 - Shows the damage to the crown.
#3 - Shows the crack on the opposite side of the crown + the crack on the top tile.
#4 - Shows 2 spalled bricks.
#5 - Shows where the chimney is located on the house. This is taken from the backyard and our house and chimney are on the right here.
I am interested in a quotation for brick repairs on the front of my home. The bottom of the support column at the front of my house is crumbling. The corner of the concrete porch where the column is situated has a crack on either side of the corner. Also, I have two cracks on either side of the walls of the attached brick garage.
