We have a 1960's home in the Hull Sector of Gatineau - we have a budget of $25 - $30 k to rennovate the two rooms.
We require assistance in the development of the design to the completion of all required work
In the kitchen we wish to retain our applicances and flooring and gut everything else and replace
In the bathroom we want to gut it and replace everything except the existing toilet
Our home was built in 1910 and has an addition on the main floor built in 1999. The addition is on steel beams and is not connected to the basement. We would like to add a powder room to the addition. Simple toilet and sink combo. It would require one wall (8'x 9') to be built, the plumbing to be added as well as adding a ceiling light and outlet.
Do walk in shower tiling - cement board is already up (walls 7-8 feet tall - shower 60 x 34 ish)
Do Floor tiling - 5x12 flooring - sub floor already put in.
Dry walling - do mudding, taping sanding walls and ceiling (supplies already purchased)
Bathroom size is 5 x 12 walls 7-8 feet tall
Bathroom has been stripped already: flooring removed, wall paper removed, vanity removed, old tub and shower fawcets removed.
Plumbing has already been put in place.
I would like to install a 4 x 4 powder room with sink and toilet in my basement. This is a new installation. There are no walls, but there is a toilet pipe in the area where I would like the bathroom installed. I would like to re-use existing toilet and sink which we had installed a year ago in another location. I require someone to install the plumbing only for the sink and toilet. If the contractor can quote for the plumbing only and then for both the plumbing and installation of walls and ceiling of the bathroom.
Replace shower stall in basement bathroom with 48"x32" tiled enclosure. Most materials and fixtures already available. Might require cement board, additional adhesive and caulking. Other tasks: replace laundry tub and faucet set, and install water filter
Owner will be consider option of additional renovation.

My bathroom Jacuzzi tub is leaking. I have two very distinct water marks on my living room celing. The dry wall on the ceiling is starting to sag and it needs to be looked at quickly. These occured a few hours/days after using the jets on the tub. I have been using the tub for several months since I moved in with no trouble. It is a 10 year old house and I am pretty sure the tub has been there since construction.
MAIN TASKS
Identify cause/source of leak
Fix leak
Repair dry wall ceiling section in living room
Renovate and modernize main and basement bathrooms
Main bathroom: remove existing tub to replace with shower, and update/replace cabinetry, paint, tile, exhaust fan, etc.
Basement: enlarge so can accommodate tub+shower, modernize, exhaust fan, paint, tile, etc.
The house is 50 years-old. It uses a hot water boiler heating system and I will want to use the existing pipes to have a heated floor, I am considering a concrete for the floor. The bathroom dimensions are roughly 12 sq. feet. I will need recessed lighting, I want to use the space between the studs to create semi-hidden storage; I want a freestanding/ soaking tub and an open concept shower. So drywall, electricity, plumbing tiling and some wood work need to be done. There is also not much pressure, so a pump on a timer will ne needed to increase the water pressure.
I am looking for these trades as awell asxa contractor to supervise. I would like the work to be finished by Christmas.
In order to qualify for the income tax credit, I need to hire Quebec qualified trade/contractor. I am working with a designer, all plans will be provided.
Thank you.
I have a bathroom renovation project in a 1960's bungalow in Hull which I need done as soon as possible as we need to list our home.
