Hey Charles and Tom, you guys did our bathroom renovation a few years back. We are happy with the work. Tia and I want to figure out the best way to have our popcorn ceiling removed, you mentioned maybe just going over it; also need to install some drywall over the exposed beams in the kitchen, tape, mud and paint. Best thing to do is for you guys to come in and identify the best way to do it all so it has a nice finished look and give us a quote. Call me or Tia and we can arrange a time for you to pop by.
Hello! i moved in my condo almost a year ago and now ready to fix a few things that have been nagging at me for some time now. Here's the list of what i'd like to fix so far:
Electrical:
I need all the electrical plugs tested. Some are loose and may need replacing.
I want to install 2 or 3 ceiling fans. One of which has no point of entry at the moment. "in a room with no ceiling light at the moment"
There are 3 electrical heaters that didn't work last winter. They may need replacing or repairing.
Odds and ends:
I need to have the dishwasher secured - it looks like they just pushed it in the space and didn't secure it.
I want to change the bath tap - it's old and it's time
I need a small fence 3ft x 8ft fabricated / purchased and installed for privacy
I need a small door fabricated / purchased and installed at the bottom of the patio stairs to keep the dogs from going up into the yard. I need to remove it in the winter or it will freeze into place :)
I would like some ideas for alternatives to the sliding doors i now have on my closets. They are warped and hard to slide back and forth.
I think this may be everything so far. But if i think of something else i'll make sure to bring it up on the job showing.
If you are interested in quoting please reach out for a job showing.
I know this is a lot of little this and that. So if you are a qualified electrician but like to dabble in a few other project please reach out!
Thank you for your consideration and have a good day!
Hi there,
I am looking for a quote to have ductwork and electrical installed for our hood vent installed above our electric cooktop in the kitchen. Previously, we had a downdraft cooktop where the exhaust fan was built into the cooktop and vented outside from underneath the cabinet below the cooktop. Since we replaced our cooktop with an electric one, we had to buy a separate vent hood and require both the ductwork and electrical to be installed before installing our hood. Please reference the photo for the current setup. We have a separate breaker box in the cabinet below the cooktop.
Aside from this, we will be looking to do a full bathroom renovation in the near future and would like to obtain a quote for this as well. Thank you in advance for your help!
Kindly,
Stephanie Borgen
Licensed electrican required.
Need an estimate for:
11 light switches
21 outlets + 1 new outlet installed for my fridge.
1 panel of 100 amps or
1 panel of 200 amps.
All need to be replaced, metal boxes and rewired. Small 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house is 1160 Sq feet. I want good quality stuff installed. I will provide pictures of my panel but I'd rather no home visits at this point. I want an idea the cost first.
Have panel with fuses of 100 amps and don't know if I need a new circuit panel at 100 amps or to upgrade to panel of 200 amps. I can provide photos of current box.
Don't have a lot of ready cash but have regular pay comjng in and need someone willing to do work in a phased approach to align with my pays.
Shower light and bath tub light is a standard recess lights - require air tight/wet location certified housing/trim.
It was done by a contractor, but the inspector said that it does not meet the standard.
How much would it cost to change the lights or if it is not UL/CSA listed, to do the whole thing, how much would it cost??
Hi, we would like to finish our basement bathroom, and we need some plumbing work (bring hot and cold water to sink and shower and cold water to toilet (pipes are located close), prepare a place for shower (water insulation), drains for shower and toilet are already done).
We also need some adjustment concerning electricity (add some plugs and switches, add some lights (in furnace room, twice in bathroom, in small storage room and add one light to family room).
Last work is a relocation of central vacuuming exhaust from (future) bathroom to furnace room.
Not so much work, if possible to have it done before end of year would be nice.
We just bought a home that was built in the late 1960's. We knew the previous owner who lived at this address for over 20 years and are aware that the electrical has to be completely redone, including our "fuse box" being upgraded. We are positive that the wiring in the house is not up to code either so if we're going to pay for the electrical to be done, we're want to upgrade everything up to code. We also believe that there may be some problems with the plumbing as the water in the house does not drain properly all the time. In our kitchen, the plumbing is not in the wall but comes out in behind the cabinets. We have no basement therefore the house lays on a slab of concrete and we know that some of the pipes my be laying there as well. We would love to have an estimate before we go ahead with the upgrades.
Renovating my 800 sq ft basement. Currently partially finished with no rooms. There are 4 light boxes, 8-10 outlets, 2 electric baseboards.
Going to need to move the outlets (adding 2x4 framing to exterior walls), add some outlets (approx 6-10 on new interior walls), add a few more light boxes and 2 additional baseboards. It's possible that some re-wiring needs to be done in order to get up to code.
The finished basement will be split into 3 rooms -- a bedroom, a bathroom, and a main living/TV room.
I currently have a Siemens EQ Load Center -- 200 AMP, 40 Circuit/40 Space. Pictures can be found here:click here is a look at the basement as is:click here is what I have planned for it in terms of rooms:click here -- note that no changes to the workshop area are being made.
Project currently underway, will most likely be looking for work on electrical to start early/mid-July.
Online estimate would be nice, but not opposed to on-site visit. I am located in Chelsea, Quebec.
I need to have emergency lighting installed in a 600q/ft salon located in Les Galeries de Hull. The electrical box is easily accessible. The store has a drop ceiling. The job can only be done after 6pm Monday-Tuesday. Alternately, after 9pm Wednesday-Friday. Must be certified electrician in Quebec.
I would like to hang a chandelier in my dining room. The room currently does not have any light fixtures in the ceiling, so the electric wiring would need to be done. I would like to have it hooked up so that a dimmer switch on the wall would control the chandelier.
The ceiling is stucco.
The chandelier itself is pretty heavy so may need additional bracing/support in the attic to hold it up.
The dining room is on the main floor of our bungalow. The house was built in 1974. It has a low-pitched roof, so the attic has a low roof.
I have an EV car and I’m looking for a professional electrician to properly install a charging station (level 2 / 240v) in my garage.
Pros:
1- The house is somehow decent (built in 2009) so need to replace the whole breaker panel.
2- The dryer is back facing the garage,
so eventually less holes expected if you follow the same path (IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT USE THE SAME LINE NOR THE SAME BREAKER).
In conclusion, a “double-pole” circuit breaker needs to be attached to two 120 volt buses at once to double the circuit voltage to 240 volts, using a 4-strand cable. From a wiring perspective, this involves attaching a ground wire to the ground bus bar, a common wire to the wire bus bar, and two hot wires to the double-pole breaker...
Note that I already have the charger level 2, it’s an EVDuty model EVC30.
Thanks
Both bedrooms in home do not have a ceiling light. Attic is above bedroom ceilings and ceilings are standard height. Light switch in both rooms has been installed but is not connected to anything (all plugs were checked).
Do not need light fixtures to be installed, just a light bulb at a minimum.
Need stove outlet installed from electrical box in basement to 2nd floor of a 1000 sf house. Basement is not finished so you can see all wiring so should be very easy to direct upstairs. Some drywall needs to be removed from 1st floor to get clear view andwire be properly connected to studs to reach the 2nd floor.
Building a 1600 to 1800 sq foot bungalow and I am looking for professionals to help with framing exterior finish most likely brick and canexel, electrical, plumbing, closed cell spray foam insulation and drywall. I will be completing the interior finishes myself in an effort to save money ie: painting flooring, kitchen and bathroom fixture installation and moldings.
Hello,
I'm looking for a reliable and reasonably priced electrician to come install 11 electrical outlets in the basement (new build), the wiring is already done, it's simply to install the plugs.
In addition, I would like a quote to have a STELPRO baseboard (wall) heater installed in the basement bathroom.
I would also like a quote for possibly adding an extra light switch or two to the room.
I need this project to start asap. So if you think you're the person for the job and can get it done quickly (as in this week), please contact me with a quote.
Thank you
Aude
