We are lookng to expand the rear of the house with basement and ground level of approx 16 feet by 36 feet (expansion of kitchen and addition of family room) and 8 feet by 26 feet (expansion of 2 bed rooms on second floor) over this new kitchen and family room.
At this time i am most interested in estimates only of the structural, electrical and heating/cool (expansion of current forced air system) companents. I would like the ceiling and walls finished but flooring and trim will be completed by myself.
Basement is pourd concreat, Outer finishing would consist of brick lower section and vinyl siding. Roof will be shingled. 2 X bedroom windows, double french doors leading to outside. large window in new family room and diningroom, 2 basement windows.
I hope this is enought info to get an estimate. Please contact me via email listed if any further information is required. Thank you. Jason

Our master bedroom gives out on a deck built atop our garage and we'd like to remove the deck and build a closed room instead. The plans have already been drawn up by an architect and we are simply trying to find someone to build it, ideally before winter.
We are the owners of the property. I'm including an image of the proposal with all the sizes and materials.
the house is 25 some years old, it has a car port . and under it I Want to have a 10' x 10 ' addition serving as mud room and entrance to the house. the house is a bungalo. I would like it build of 2"x4" , treated wood for the bottom frame it would probably be put on "sono" tube. I want it insulated, floor, walls and ceiling. i already have a window, a outside door and a screen door. the outside would be white vynil. there is no roofing needed since under car port. inside would be dry wall. very limited electricity: one light in the ceiling, one plug-in and switch at the entrance near the door. I already have all the electrical supply.

Hi!
I'm looking to find a decent general contractor to do the extension of my dining room and add a mudroom - they both form a rectangular.
The design is simple - no plumbing, no heating required.
The size of the extension/addition is 4.9 feet by 23 feet. The house is in Hull.
Thanks !
JK
We are looking to add on a 14x14 foot bedroom onto our approx 35 year old 1200 sq. ft Viceroy Bungalow. We also are interested in changing the existing floor plan of the home. We would like to change the location of the entrance of our home (currently the from door is on the side of the house and we would like to move it to the front). We would like to make a 1/2 bath - laundry room on the main level. We are also interested in taking down a wall to open up our kitchen, living room dining room area and updating our Kitchen cabinets. The exterior of our home is cedar siding. Our major concern is the roof line and how this addition will work with the existing rooflines. We would appreciate an online estimate - to give us an idea of what costs we are looking at but are also interested in a Free detailed quote from the contractor after inspection of the home and further discussion of the project.
Please let us know if you can help us out.
Thanks so much!!
Hi, looking to build an addition to our present house. 20 x 25 ft on 2 levels with no basement. Dry wall and flooring done by me. Roof, I will install shingles. One self sustaining fireplace in the middle. Difference of height 2.5 ft (between present house and addition-built on ground-). Planning to start in June-July 2017.
Thanks,
Raz
Hi there,
We're looking to add onto our home. We are outgrowing it, but have lots of space to grow - land wise. Our home is around 50+ years old, but was gutted and completely renovated (new electrical, plumbing, windows, roof) in 2008 before we bought it. The garage is connected to the house (it's 15 feet by 22 feet), but we'd like to turn this into a family room with an additional small piece added to the front of it for an entrance with a coat room (would 5 feet by 5 feet be enough/too large? any recommendations would be helpful). Within the family room area we'd like a small room for storage built. Also on top of the garage/family room we'd like to add a master suite with a full bathroom and walk-in closet - so I guess this would require raising the roof. Not sure if it's possible to use the existing garage and roof - it might not have proper footings to hold the structure? If it isn't possible to convert the garage into the family room with the addition above it, is it possible to separate the garage from the house and move to another location on our property to reuse and maintain?
We're going to do all of the finishing ourselves - priming, baseboards, flooring, trim, shingling the roof, etc. So, we're basically looking for a contractor to put up the structure, plumbing, electrical and walls.
We require quotes asap, preferably by the end of the week, if possible. Please feel free to call us for more information in order to ensure we have as accurate a quote as possible.
Thanks very much!
Adding 500 sq. ft to our house towards the back yard.
In the addition are 2 bedrooms and a staircase to the basement.
We want nothing done but vapor barrier in basement.
The existing staircase is to be removed and the floor sealed to match the rest of the upstairs.
I have a plan drawn up by an architect already.
We would like to add up to 500 sq.ft. to our bungalow. In the addition we would have 2 bedrooms, a storage closet and stairs going to the basement. There currently is a set of stairs, but we would be removing them and closing up that area to extend the adjasent room. The basement would be left open for a rec room. I live in a red brick house with a cement block foundation. My electrical panel has lots of room on it for expantion. There would be no plumbing required.
Home Addition will include (house age:1978):
- Existing bathroom renovation, and addition (72sqf)
- New Garage (540 sqf)
- New home entrance (72 sqt)
- New room with walk-in closet and build new bathroom (on top of the garage, 540 sqt)
- Some roofing for the new addition
- New addition brick walls
Possible extras to add (all depend on addition cost):
- Possible front wall changes from vinyl to brick (Approximately surface area: 372sqf)
- Existing Kitchen renovation (112sqf, to be confirmed)
- Change some windows
Hello,
We are looking into buying a detached house (year built 2000) in Aylmer and would like to build an extension above the one-car garage, which is attached to the side of the house. The extension would create a small office room and a 3-piece bathroom (with shower). We would also need to create a small hallway (about 1.5 m2) to access both office and bathroom. We do not know whether the garage structure needs reinforcement, and no plans have been drawn (the project at the moment is just an idea).
How much would it cost to build the extension, including plan drawings, city approval, plumbing/electrical work, air ducts, 1 window in the office and 1 small window in the bathroom?
Timing would be flexible - no rush.
Thank you,
Alex
2 bedroom house on 2 floors. Basement is part concrete part gravel about 6 feet high. Project is to lift the house at a height convenient to build a rental unit in the basement, which would obviously have to be finished also. In addition, build an extension to the house for an additional room on each floor including basement, which means digging and adding new foundation for that section. Also, walls need to be replaced with gyprock in pretty much the whole house and insulation redone.
We would like to add a second story to our five year old 1250-square-foot bungalow - Les Habitations Bouladier's Charentais model with loft over single car garage.
We need three more bedrooms with walk-in closets (one with balcony), a full bathroom and a laundry room. We would like ceramic tile in the bathroom and laundry room and floating floor everywhere else.
