I am looking to renovate the following:
- 1 bathroom: change the shower, the cabinets and the tiles
- 1 kitchen: change the cabinets
- floor: sand the floor in living room and in 3 bedroom and stairs
- change the carpet of stairs going to basement
- repaint where paint has been damaged due to renovation
1-Kitchen need to redecorate with new cabinet new ceramic floor, close to a sitting area the idea to have an open concept that merge the kitchen and small sitting area including den.
2- Powder room need to be enlarge to create a larger space for washing and dryer equipment including new floor and perhaps new toilet and sink with wooden vanity and accessories.
3- Second level main bathroom is big and the idea is to create two bathroom so one can serve the master bedroom and the second one the other two rooms, means new tub new sink with wooden vanity new toilet, lighting tiles and all accessories.
4- one bed room need to replace the floor from carpet to wood.
5- Stairs need to replace the carpet by wood as well.
6- The house windows including the back yard door need to be replaced and install new aluminum windows.
7- Back yard deck need to be replaced either by wood or can be kind of concrete with aluminum railing.
8- Back yard garden fence need to be replaced by wood or PVC coated or any other free maintenance and durable material.
9- The garden back yard need new grass and some trees trimming.
Note material required to be decent quality not necessary to be very high quality rather medium and durable.
I would like to know the cost of lifting 2 story house in fabreville laval neighborhood by 2 feet.
Part of the basement is 4 feet and another part of 6 feet.
The front first level is brick and the rest is vinyl siding.
House has a sum pump in the basement.
The area oh the house is between 78-85 m2.
Is it possible? how much +/- it could potentially cost (best worst case scenario) of lifting + adding bricks to fill in the gap (masonry) and time time it takes for the job to be done.
The date for the project is pretty flexible.
1. Paint: the entire house as well as doors & moldings needs to be painted
2. Sand & stain hardwood as well as railings & stairs
3. Full bathroom (no stand up shower, only bathtub)
4. Powder room
5. Windows

We are looking to build a 7' partition wall with sound-proof insulation with 1 door in order to create a mudroom with stacked laundry machines, as well as to convert the adjacent main-floor laundry room (with an existing shower) into a bathroom. A well-placed wet-wall already exists, and there is no custom cabinetry required. Required skills: Plumbing, carpentry, dry-wall, door-hanging, painting.
General contractor and professional cleaning (bathroom wall repair, carpentry, floor, window insulation, general cleaning.
1- Repair of a tile board panel above the bathtub. A portion of it is damaged with several holes over a 5 "x 5" area and it leaks. The current panel is about 2'x4 '. The repair could consist of replacing the entire panel with a similar panel; or replacing only part of it with ceramic tiles on an area about 2 'wide by 10 "high above the tub. In both cases, include a waterproof membrane underneath as well.
2- Replace about 4 linoleum or vinyl floor tiles.
3- Replace an aluminum screen of about 4'x4 'on a window.
4- Replace damaged weatherstripping plastic membranes on a window of about 5'x3 'and another of about 1'x3'.
5- Repair a wall shelf about 2' long that is loose, by reinforcing the support.
I'd like a quote to remove a wall separating the kitchen and living room areas. The house is a tiny 650 sf bungalow situated in Laval-Ouest. I am not sure if it is a supporting wall or not. There is an addition several feet of closet space which also houses the washer/dryer which has been incorporated into the space to make things a little more complicated. I will upload some photos within the next 24 - 48 hrs.
The house is presently on cinderblock foundation, with a dug out earth basement.
The basement is high enough to walk around.
The house is too low to the street, so to raise and pour a cement foundation and basement.
Outside access to the basement is through a window. No access from the inside.
Area is considered a flood zone by the city of laval but have not had water in the basement for over 10 ++years.
Basement needs to be waterproofed because close proximaty to lake and river

House constructed in 1957. Front wild stone and sides bricks and aluminum.
On the front an entrance was added that has no stone presently.
And another entrance from the front is closed and stone covered but not perfectly done.
On the sides some windows was closed and need to be covered by bricks. Even aluminum needs to be renewed totally.
House dimensions approximately 38 feet length without garage and 52 feet with garage. And 24 feet width.

I would need only the risers (we will add the steps) for stairs going from the main floor to the basement.
The height is approx 8 ft, although length of risers would need to be calculated from the riser builder.
Width of steps is 42".

Looking for a contractor who can do the following:
Basement
- To place a wide flange steel beam (14ft long) underneath an existing sagging beam that is constructed out of 2x8 and to bring back to level
-Two footings are required.......one to support one side of the steel beam and other footing to be placed in a different location to support a column that is supporting a load from above on the main floor.
- Approx 20 Joists in the basement will also need to be solidified since the joists are over spanned and the upper level feels bouncy.
Main floor
- Remove bearing wall(10.5 feet) between hallway and dinning room,
- Add beams and columns to create an open concept
- Add a second layer of plywood to the entire main floor since the original sub floor is only 1/2"
- Install Tarkett flooring or click flooring to the entire main floor of 650 sq/ft

I have a house project that need to be completed. The structure of the house has been assembled and was provided by maison Laprise. It is a "Novo-Climat" certified house. All the interior dvisions are provided along with the doors, the moldings, the gyproc, the nails, the isolation. I need a general contractor who will finish the interior (plombing, electricity, carpentry work). The finishing for the plumbing, the electricity is not provided and thus the contractor must provide it to us. Same is for the kitchen cabinets and the hardwood floor. I want all four walls in brick. The foundation is done but I need the ciment in the basement for the floor as well as in the garage. There are four balconies, 3 in fiber glass and a font galerie in ciment that needs to be poored along with the front stairs. I am ready to start the project as soon as possible provided that the appropriate estimate is giving.
