We have the flooring of our 2nd floor balcony which needs to be replaced with a fiberglass top and new railing in pressure treated wood to be installed. The size of the balcony is approx. 12' x 8'. We would prefer someone available before the summertime rush. We also have a few repairs to the front door porch before it can be repainted. We will be supplying the materials (except fiberglass top) for the project.
Hello,
We would like new two front fiber balconies, and new steal stairs to replace the current one. (Please refer to the pictures.)
We would also like adding drains for the front and back of our building. (Please refer to the building size on the picture).
Thank you,
Ariel
Repair wood railings and posts where needed, sand and paint wood deck, stairs, railings and posts, some caulking.
Deck is approximately 13' x 9'.
There are 9 steps with risers and the stairs are about 8' wide.
There are 4 posts.
Also, remove peeling paint and repaint cement foundation on the house.
We need repairs for our front patio:
- support poles for patio roof need alignment (they are twisted and out of shape)
- patio roof needs to be re-installed, as it is not level
- patio roof siding needs to be replaced, as it is damaged
Pictures added.
I am the property owner.
The porch on our 100 yr old house needs to be repaired or replaced; it measures approx 5x12' and currently rests on one wall constructed of rectangular cement blocks. The flooring and the steps are finished, and while there is currently a balcony atop, we would like to eliminate the second floor balcony in favor of a roof. The raiings are made of metal, but we would like a simple wooden porch more in keeping with the age of the house. Our budget is flexible as our aim is a quality product. The project can start at any time through the fall.
We have a 100 year old single family dwelling that needs a front porch and upper front balcony repair or possibly replacement this coming summer or autumn. We're looking for reliable, bonded contractors or companies to submit estimates they can stick to and get the work done. Reasonable, honest clients.
The deck needs to be re-done. The membrane was damaged during the construction of our house 11 years ago. Consequently the frame (wood structure) under the membrane is damaged and needs to be replaced with the membrane and the surface wood to be re-installed. There are stones that need to be taken off along with a railing then put back when the work is completed.
the wooden structure of the front balcony is rotten and needs to be replaced.
i would prefer sustainable material (cement, stone or fake wood plastic) that would require little to no maintenance.
the railings are in black wrought iron, but they don't really need to be re-done.
the balcony itself is rather small (i haven't measured it, but i would say no more than 5 feet by 6-7 feet.
i'm hoping to spend less than $ 3,500 -but i would like for it to be a nice improvement.
We have a large deck that needs refinishing. There are also spots of rotted wood that need to be replaced. Overall dimensions:
* 372 sq ft of decking
* 27 sq ft in stairs
* 82 linear ft of railing (37"-38" high, ~200 verticals)
Details dimensions:
* landing: 36" x 51"
* staircase 1: 7 steps, 34" wide, 9" deep
* deck level 1: 13'8" x 12'
* deck level 2: 12' x 16'3"
* staircase 2: 2 steps, 8' wide, 9" deep
Apart from the landing and staircase 1, the whole deck is close to ground level: level 1 is about 18" up, and level 2 is about 8" up.
Job steps, if I were doing it myself:
* strip remnants of old paint
* remove rotten wood
* replace rotten bits
* wash the whole thing
* sand it
* stain it
* seal it
Back 9' x 7' deck to replace 8' x 3', 6" thick deck. Need 36" wide stairs. Deck is roughly 4' high. Original deck is 20+ years old. Include skirt to surround for storage. Prefer cedar (or other durable material) over pressure-treated.
Fence with gate, 5' high, 21' by 26' (only two sides, as third side is shared by neighbor).
Include costs for demolition and removal.
We have an old patio (patio stones on top of earth) that needs to be removed.
We would like to replace the patio with a wooden deck (pressure treated wood).
This new deck needs to be built as close to the ground as possible. It would also need to include a stair case from the deck to the door of our house.
Dimensions of patio to be removed. W=12 ft, L=22 ft, H=1ft of earth.
Dimensions of new deck to be built. W=12 ft, L=22 ft, H=as close to the ground as possible.
We have a ruelle behind our duplex for access to our yard.
Phase 1 = remove old patio prior to August 1st.
Phase 2 = build the wooden deck during the last 2 weeks of August.
After a snow storm, we sustained damages to the solairum. We have to replace the rotten wood beams underneath the solarium that was damaged by water. The interior solarium needs wood replacement and recaulking the skylights. Solarium is about 13 yrs old, it was a added addition to the house.
Dimension of the solarium is about:
15' x 13 1/2 '
6 panel skylight to be recaulked and 1 has to be replaced because the gas in the glass panel is damaged.
1 solarium sliding door has to be replaced.
I need a estimation for the job a.s.a.p. Would like the project finished before Dec 2009
Older duplex in ndg in need of possible stair replacement and paint job (just on stair case). Definite need for repairs on older wooden steps however the frame is fine and does not need replacing. Looking for a fair estimate and timely conract. There is a suspician that stairs need to be replaced.
Wooden staircase from backyard sunporch is unusable and must urgently be removed and replaced. (photos attached).
Broadly, work involved would be to dismantle the existing staircase, discuss the material required for a replacement, and then install the new staircase.
Location is Pierrefonds.
We have a small deck that acts as our backyard. It is about 300 sq feet. We would like the deck replaced (preferably with cedar) and a few features incorporated in the replacement: notably, posts for a hammock and a planter with higher edges that could double as seating.
See photos!
1 - Remove existing decking, which is rotting, collapsing and unstable
2 - Repair roof where existing decking supports are fixed (repair wood and new tiles)
3 - Build ground level deck(larger than existing) and upper level deck by patio door (smaller than existing), with steps. This will allow light into basement windows
We wish to decorate and furnish our rooftop terrace. The terrace is built onto our downstairs neighbours kitchen extension. So we definitely want to make sure whatever we do that drainage and protection of the roof membrane is very important. The roof was last replaced in 2005. We think its good for 10 years. We just bought the home. We wish to explore options to build either an astro turf floor or a wooden deck that can be removed and replaced again when the roof needs to be repaired in 2015.
Im looking for a quote to 1) Update the roof membrane, 2) install a wooden deck over the current all-weather mats that protect the roof or 3) Install an all weather artificial grass solution. The roof measures 12 x 24 feet.
Thank you.
The project is to replace the roof top terrace of my condo association. The existing terrace was removed to renovate the roof. There are 2 options for the replacement terrace, one quote that will build a new terrace with 2 internal sections (approx. 19ft by 16ft 4in) plus access to the stairs and another option to build a new terrace with 4 internal sections (approx. 38ft by 16ft 4in) plus access to the stairs. The terrace needs a surrounding wall for the exterior and a dividing wall between the sections (leaving a common entrance way). We want the walls around 4ft high and providing wind protection. We are open to the project being manufactured from pressure treated wood or composite materials. We are looking for the work to be performed within the next few weeks.
I recently purchased a high-rise condo in old Montreal with an 8'x11' foot balcony. The Balcony has a roof over it and fairly well protected. The floor is concrete with drainage. I want to put a high end wooden deck floor on the balcony. I would like to use a hardwood, like IPE or Cedar. I would like the deck to have 11 foot planks the long way. If possible, I would like the deck in two sections, so that I might be able to lift one section and clean underneath from time-to-time. I am really looking for someone who can build a quality deck and am willing to pay for higher end materials and craftsmanship.
The work will include:
1. Removal of the layer of paving stones that is currently laying on the ground underneath the deck
2. Leveling the ground
3. Placing a concrete floor on the leveled ground
3. Streanthing the legs of the deck into this concrete floor
The deck size is approximately 6.7 X 3.0 meter and the project is in Cote Saint Luc
Thanks
