I am looking to redo the floors of the upper level of a duplex in ville St-Laurent, Montreal.
I would need someone that would be able to take out the current floors and install new hardwood floors while soundproofing in between the main and upper floors. (Around 700 square feet)
Please contact if you have any experience soundproofing old duplexes in Montreal.
We had water in our house, it is covered by insurance. We will have the estimation by this week. Like to see some option beside the insurance contractor. we need to change all the flooring (hardwood Floor) on the main level. Also need to remove the basement floor and put a new one. Some walls to be redone. As well had kitchen base cabinets(the ones on the floor). Which insurance will pay we might want to redo the kitchen a bit, but talk about the cost after we get estimation. If you would like to come see the work and we will forward you the estimation once received. like this we can see if you are willing to work and have some options beside the insurance provided contractor.
- We are looking at repairing/upgrading some of the floors in our apartment, total area of the apartment is 650 square feet (see attached floorplan)
- Currently the living room floor is hardwood that is in need of repair/replacement.
- The bedroom is probably hardwood (but may be laminate, we’re not sure) and is need of repair/replacement.
- The kitchen is tiled, but at a different level to the living room (see attached picture). We may want to get a new kitchen floor, to make it the same as the living room floor but are unsure if this is possible/advisable based off of the difference in floor level to the living room. We're also not sure on why this difference in level exists (soundproofing/code regulations etc) and would like to better understand.
We would like someone to come to the apartment to advise on the above and discuss our options? We are available during weekdays, weekends and evenings.
I would like to have my wood floor sanded and varnished ( 3 coats). However, there is minor water damage and would need a pro's point of view if it could be simply sanded or need to repair that specific area.
The square footage of the room is roughly 100square feet. Age of the house is over 50 if not more. I also believe that it is the original wood flooring.
Our office is 1109 square feet. It currently has a short pile carpet that needs to be removed. I'm looking for some budget options to replace it and would be interested in getting some quotes to have the old carpet removed and...
-just have the concrete underneath painted
-replaced with an affordable wood laminate
The office consists of one large room and 3 smaller rooms.

I am looking for a contractor to install and level new hardwood floors in our condo. We live in the east plateau area on a second floor of a triplex. The area requiring new hardwood floor is 900 square feet. We will demolish the kitchen beforehand as to leave a clean workspace for that room.
We have high ceilings so I think it would be ok to put a layer of plywood before adding the new floor on top of the old floor. Our floors as of now are very crooked so a levelling job is very important.
Would this be a job that interests your company? If so are you able to give us an estimation for the job?
Attached to this email is a floor plan and photos to assist you in the estimation.
It is a town house with the 3 floors but for the time being the staircase for the 3rd floor does not exist .
I want to put the staircase and finish the mezzanine with a bathroom and floor of hard wood the area is about 65 sq.m. the location is in Saint laurent. having licence is important. Giving an guaranty is a must.
I am interested in getting a quote for a new wood or laminate floor throughout the apt with the exception of the bathroom and one bedroom. The floor is original (early 1900s) and split and crooked. I would need a new sub-floor leveling out the apt (it is so crooked it would likely have to be terraced) and then new floor put in place. This would be 6-800 square feet of flooring. This might require new baseboards and some finishing work at the base of the doors.
Looking to replace the existing hardwood floors in my home. Total square footage is just under 1000 sq ft. Labour quote should include the cost of removing existing floors and installing the new flooring.
I'm also considering removing and installing new baseboards.
I plan to purchase the flooring myself.
I have 400 sq ft that needs to be leveled and floored. I have already purchased sufficient pre-finished hardwood (Golden Elite 6'x6" planks).
There may be some work necessary in the basement (jacks etc) to level the floor.
The successful applicant will be able to provide references.
Hi, I am planning to buy an apartment near Metro Prefontaine with a tilted floor, and would like to know more about the price to fix the floor. There's no big problem in the whole construction (confirmed by the inspector), and the floor had been renovated about 5 years ago. The floor has a height difference of about 1-2 inch (not precise) from one side to the other. The total area of the floor is around 500-600 sq.ft., but I'm not pretty sure if the whole floor is tilted.
I have a ~800sq foot upper duplex that needs to have ~125sq foot of the hardwood floor replaced, then sanded to match and refinished.
I also need the unit painted throughout white eggshell walls, white flat on ceiling for rental purposes.
I need to have a bathroom fan installed leading to an existing skylight vent.
Looking to get done ASAP.
