Hi there, Im looking for a contractor that can replace my kitchen module in our condo in downtown montreal. We had a mini flood about 1 1/2 years ago and the building suggested that it be replaced. Timing for us is important, we are wondering how long it would take. Please let me
know.
The contractor responding to this owuld have to be licensed and insured.
Thank you
Nelson
It is a 100 year old semi-detached home in NDG. The bulk of the demo work is done, the hardwood floor is in poor condition so would need to be replaced, but not necessarily with hardwood. The plaster walls need to be replaced, insulated (spray-foam) and painting. Possibility of further plastering and painting in other parts of the house. The design is already done.
We are open to discussions and suggestions.
Good Day,
I am looking to renovate/redo my kitchen in my condo. This is medium sized, L shaped kitchen with an island. This means completely removing current kitchen, redoing floor, build and installation of new cabinets, laminated counter tops, new dining island, pot lights, mosaic back-splash. I am looking for company that can design and build cabinets ( alternatively Ikea's adjusted cabinets can be used) and manage full project as single contractor ( flooring, electrical, some plumbing, carpentry). Provide me with some time frames and cost estimate.
Hello,
I would like to:
1. Remodel my kitchen, looking for a white/ country type look.
2. Remodel guest bathroom.
2. walk-in closet off master bedroom.
It's a 2 bedroom condo., on Viger Est., close to Saint Andre.
My tenant will be moving out in few months, I would like work to start around then.
1. How long can the kitchen job take? Maximum days/ weeks?
2. Price range? Includes permits?
Thank you,
Elizabeth

We are moving to a small apartment condo in Mile End on Hutchison St. - on the 3rd floor of a 3-floor walk-up. There's a small kitchen 11x 8 ft. next to a dining room 10 x 14 . We want to take part of the wall down between the kitchen and dining room - down to the sink level creating an open area between the kitchen and dining room. including a counter on the dining room side where a couple of stools could be put. The apartment building is about 103 years old - so we're dealing with plaster I guess. I understand there is no plumbing on that part of the wall.
10*14 galley kitchen. Demo old kitchen, install Ikea kitchen. Source and install counter tops (white quartz). Source and install radiant floor heating with ceramic wood style tiles. Source and install tile backsplash. Sink and dish washer need to be moved. Some drywalling to do. Move hook ups for washer and dryer to another room.
The house is 24 years old. The shape of the kitchen is square. The measures are about 140" x 120. There is two entrance and would like to remove one side of the wall to make it open concept. There is one window above the sink. kitchen was not renovated. Like to have an IKEA type kitchen with an island (where the wall is removed). Floor change as well.
Even though the quality is the primary concern, have a very limited budgeted and price will also be a major factor in the final decision.
I need someone to remove ceramic from a kitchen wall and redo the wall
paint the whole kitchen
some electrical work for kitchen
ceramic work : remove current ceramic backsplash and replace with another
some plumbing: install new sink and dish washer
Also, depending on cost, I am considering redoing my whole kitchen gutting it and starting from scratch. I need a turnkey solution and would like an estimate.
I am interested in having renovations done in my kitchen. I have already had a wall demolished between my original kitchen and a bedroom, and now it is at a standstill because of unforseen circumstances. I need someone to continue and finish the work.
I need the existing hardwood floor which is in the previous bedroom and is warped corrected and extended to meet the existing kitchen tiesl. I need more tiling done. I need a kitchen island, cupboards, etc. installed plus electrical work and plumbing work done. I also need some walls to be built, repaired. Our home was built 1920's.
Replace existing kitchen countertop and sink:
- Transport owner purchased countertop and sink from store to home.
- Disconnect and remove old sink (some plumbing work)
- Remove the old countertop,
- Make the cutouts for the new countertop.
- Install the new countertop and secure to cabintry.
- Install new sink.
- Place back the stove top (no electrical work required).
- Install backsplash tiles.
- Apply sealant as required, to all joints.
- Paint Kitchen.
- Clean construction area and dispose of old coutnertop, sink, and construction materials.
- Time from start to finish should be 1 week maximum.
Entire triplex, including kitchens, was renovated ~19 years ago. Our unit is on the 2nd floor. Kitchen is in open space with living and dining rooms. Currently the main counter space is at a 45 degree angle to the longest wall. There is essentially no counter space. We would like the kitchen to be squared (to give more counter space), and the room to possibly be partially closed off (at least to the front door). The current sink is too small. The current counters are granite. We would like the kitchen to be re-designed to be optimal. If we can use the current layout, that would be fine. The current cupboards are laminate. They are nice cupboards, but we prefer wood. We would like this project finished by mid-June 2007.
New House Construction completed: 2007

Kitchen is bare, all old cabinets have been removed, no furniture or appliances in the way. Project is to install new kitchen cabinets from Ikea. Lenght of wall is 10 feet. One more small cabinet to be installed above fridge area. Tiles are also to be put on wall. 10 feet x 3 feet above counter top and under cabinets. I will provide all cabinets, etc unless contractor provides better option.
Bathroom needs re-tiling, wall and floor. bathroom is 5 x 12 feet. will provide own vanity, toilet, tub, etc, unless contractor provides better option.
Thanks,
Raul
I am the property owner.

- counter-tops needs changing (to quartz top), with new sink
- replacing of stove and oven with built-in stove and oven
- oven aspirator needs replacing as well, with a built in microwave
- new tiles on the floor with back-splash tiles on walls
Bathroom (2 bathrooms)(master is 8.8 by 8.4 ft, and the other is 7.3 by 7.4ft)
- tiles need changing on the floor for both bathrooms
- tiled walls in the master bathroom
- toilet seats need replacing in both

Some wood work may be needed to fit a microwave aspirator above the stove. We would like to keep the current kitchen cabinet design if possible.
New owners of a property.
I would like to renovate and the Kitchen and Bathroom.
We want to modernize the looks of both rooms.
We do not have any specific designs in mind and are open to suggestions.
Kitchen:
9,9 X 9,9 feet
- Mostly just a refacing
- Change cabinets color to
- Possible change of countertops
- Will need to resize the cabinets to make space for a standard cooking oven
- Install vents for the cooking oven
Bathroom
10 X 8 feet
- Possible a full makeover.
- Would like to have new separate standing shower and bathtub
- Room dimension might be tight, but we I think it will be achievable with the contractor's ingenuity.
The work will ideally be done during the last 3 weeks of June.
