I have 3 windows with dirty bricks from water damage. The dirty bricks are all under the window sill. I still have a few old bricks that I can replace these with. Im looking for a mason to replace these bricks, and perhaps add a sealer or something to help preserve them.
Im in NDG.
Hi there! I have a condo in a 1910 triplex and it needs brickwork and the balconies redone. The bricks on the front seem to be coming away from the building, and on the back we've got spalling.
We'd love to have someone by to take a look and provide a quote. One of the co-owners speaks French, so we're good there!
I look forward to hearing back!
I need the following brickwork done:
1) I am opening an existing window in my kitchen into a full door to the back and will need the bricks to be removed and finishing done around the doorframe
2) I am sealing an exit from my basement that goes up some exterior stairs to the driveway. I need cinderblocks to seal the exterior stairs.
3) I want to leave an interior brick wall exposed (34'x9') and the bricks need some repair and pointing.
4) The exterior bricks of the building need some pointing.
Chimney above the roof need to be repaired as some bricks are eroded. The chimney will not be used any more because oil furnace has been replaced to electric one. The job is to keep the rest bricks not fall down in the future.
The house is a semi-detached so only half of the chimney belongs to me.
Soliciting quotes for exterior brick, flashing and wood repair.
The brick exterior has eroded over the years and spot repairs are needed around the building, the front entrance ways need some minor repair work to replace rotten pieces of wood and the flashing around the roof needs to be inspected and secured or replaced as needed.
The building is an older (80+ years) construction with solid brick walls (not a veneer). The brick has eroded over the years and is in need of some work. A few of the stone window sills have cracked and are allow water to enter the building.
Wood work is needed where the stairs meet the sidewalk, the wood has become rotten over the years and needs to be replaced.
The flashing along the edge of the roof has become loose and needs to be re-attached or replaced.
Our intent is be begin this work in 2012 and we would like to start discussing this project with a contractor to lay out the requirements and funds needed.

This is a very old building used for storage but would like to renovate in order to have an office or something. I need a quote as it's on a house I do not own, but have an accepted offer on - so the quote needs to be done asap.
There is a large tree that is causing it to shift both vertically and horizontally.
I'm interested in purchasing a home that has been neglected for a few years. Upon visiting, I noticed there was approximately one quarter of the back wall that had bricks ballooning out (ventre de boeuf) and the equivalent of about one quarter of a wall, in different spots around the house that needed some pointing work. I am wondering how much that would cost to fix.
Triplex in Rosemont, built 1940. Front and back exterior walls, to replace old brick with new. Each wall is 25' x 40', or 2,000 square feet in total (not including windows and doors). 6 windows and 3 doors on back facade, 6 windows and 4 doors on front facade. Looking for a rough estimate.
I need to redo completely the brick facade in the rear of my triplex. Plus I d like exterior foam insulation to be installed as well. The building is a typical montreal 1900 building located a block away from Prefontaine metro station.
here are the specs.
The shape is an L back.
back wall 10.86 ft
balcony wall 12.2ft
corner wall 3.08 ft
inside back wall 7.2 ft
height 33 ft
total 1100.2 square feet
102.2 sq meter
The window sills need to be redone as well.
Our row house Montreal, south veneer brick wall is bulging at the top. Some brick needs to be removed and replaced, maybe 150 to 200 square feet and the entire wall approx 30 x 20 needs to be anchored possibly with Torq Lok 530 series anchors. Also the joint between the side and front wall needs to be replaced with flexible material.
Need the brick over the entrance door and under a window on the second floor repaired. Possibly replace or repair the cement block under the window on the second floor as well.
The apartment is on Connaught Avenue in Montreal between Saint- Jacques and Sherbrooke.
Please reply with a phone number where I can reach you to discuss details.
Thank you, Merci!
I have a triplex in Hochelaga maissoneuve which needs repair to the back facade. The width is 20 feet wide, but the back is not flat, and I am not sure of the exact dimensions. Anyway, I am hoping to meet with contractors anytime the week of May 20-26, to have them take a look and tell me what i need.
The house is listed as being built in the 1920s, and is showing its age! I think it needs an entire new facade and some lintels need replacement.
I am sorry i cannot furnish more info, but I would love to meet with interested contractors (please only those with a RBQ number) next week.
Thanks very much
There is a cold storage area underground beneath the entryway picturedclick here storage area is accessible from the basement. Note in the picture below that some cinder blocks in two rows have shifted inward, and some cinder blocks in the row above areclick here looking for a mason's cost estimate to repair the wall, replacing the damaged and shifted cinder blocks.
I am looking to Re-Point my walls. I have 3 walls that eventually needs to be re-done. I live in a triplex, and the front of the building is stone, and the side walls are brick. The plateau municipality has subsidies for repointing walls, and therefore they require me to submit 2 bids, and choose one for the job.
