Two new windows need to be created for this project. One needs to be 40 s.ft. and the other will be 45 s.ft.
It is a concrete building from what I can tell, how much would it cost to pierce the concrete and install the new windows
I can provide a preliminary architectural plan which depicts the windows needed. Each window is divided into 3 sections lengthwise.

It's a triplex in the plateau that has problems with 4 of the exterior doors that might need to be adjusted, replaced or re-installed. There is also a piece of glass above one of the doors that needs to be replaced. One bathroom fan is not properly installed. If you give me a sensible plan and price for labour, you can start as soon as you arrive. Thanks.
There was a fire in the condo building under construction next door to our condo building. There is no direct fire damage to our condo unit but the firefighters rammed our door open and the door frame is broken on one side. The frame was split along the inside edge and the trim along the inside of the door was broken away as well. The door frame needs repairing as soon as possible.
I have just bought a condo with a storage room in the basement but it doesn’t have a door. I would like to have a door (and lock) installed. The opening measures 81 1/2 x 30 inches and already has casing but no threshold. Please see the photos. I do not have a door since i don’t know what to buy.
Hello,
I am about to move into a new apartment in the Plateau. It's a real fixer-upper and one of the problems is not enough sunlight. I am hoping to install a 72" x 48" window in the front going through a brick wall. There is already one window which will be replaced by this larger one. It is a very old building, my concern is that if I start to chop it up I'll find mould or something like that. Given there aren't any side tracks how much do you suppose this would cost me? Could you give me the price of only the installation and then as well the price if I was to buy the window off of you?
Thank you so much!
On the third floor of the building we have an old non standard door. We want to install a standard 36" size all season guillotine window door that can be locked or unlocked from the inside to meet fire requirements.
So you will need to cut 3" of the brick and masonry on one side to fit the bigger standard door, new wood frame, gyroc and mouldings inside.
So you need to supply everything for this project including removal of debris from the premise.
3 or aluminum sliding windows need to be repaired in a condo apartment.
1. Replace weather stripping to prevent cold air leaking from outside.
2. Two windows have panes that go out of the top guides when the panes are moved to the left or to the right. This needs to be fixed.
3. Put insulation inside jambs where possible to prevent cold air leaking from outside.
4. Repair wheels on the bottom of the panes to make sliding easier.
I need a contractor who had good experience in repairing sliding aluminum windows - do not contact me if you do not have such experience.
On the third floor of a 1919 triplex, four interior doors need replacing. Framing for two of them needs to be rebuilt, one door frame needs to be altered so that the new door can be closed fully. One door frame may need to be altered so that it is the same height as the newly-rebuilt ones (unless new trim is the answer), which all share the same hall space. I will buy new doors for all four. In addition, I would like an existing door opening to be closed up with new drywall. Finally, a few new flooring planks will need to be replaced.

Hello,
I need 3 sets of sliding wardrobe doors.
Opening 79.5" x 47" (2 sets)
Opening 79.5" x 60" (1 set)
Please quote me a price with mirror and without mirror.
Thank you.
I had my 3rd floor deck reconstructed in 2016. Since then, a very serious leak has begun, which flows into the 2nd floor kitchen and spreads across the ceiling.
I would like to repair the seals around the door, and insure, somehow, that the leak does not begin again in bad weather, notably heavy snow or rain.
Hello, I'd like to have 2 windows in my condo either repaired or replaced with new ones.
- one Bedroom window: currently, it does not completely close, and opens with difficulties. The frame is not aligned. Cold air is getting through between frame and wall, and between sliding panels and frame. Some technical details: size 34 X 73 "; metal frame; 2 vertical sliding panels 34 X 37 " each, double-glass Thermo Packs. I'd like to discuss repair or replace options.
- one Garage window: currently, it does not completely close. Glass has cracks. Cold air is getting through between frame and wall, and between sliding panels and frame. Some technical details: size 34 X 73 "; old wood frame; 2 vertical sliding panels 34 X 38 " each, single-glass (NOT Thermo Packs). It has an additional exterior metal frame attached with 2 single-glass panels and a mosquito screen. One of those glasses is broken and one panel is stuck, stopped moving. I'd like to discuss repair or replace options.
Please call/e-mail me. Thanks.
Condo with three main repair/reno needs:
1. Kitchen sink & faucet. The countertop is ColorQuartz CQ901 Frost White, 37 x 102". Currently it has an undermount sink with 24 1/4 x 15 1/8" opening (rounded corners) and a single-handle faucet. We want to replace both. We have a specific faucet selected (also single-handle). For the new sink, we want an undermount stainless steel sink (1 bowl, 9" deep) but have struggled to find one that will fit the current opening (which is already damaged). So, we are considering either (a) enlarging the sink opening if that's possible (new finish would still need to allow undermount) or (b) replacing the countertop to accommodate a new sink if absolutely necessary. The kitchen also needs small fixes such as new caulking.
2. Wall repair & painting. There are four walls with significant damage/holes (from wall-mounted shelving, from old TV mounts, etc) in need of repair and painting; a few more walls have very minor repairs that would ideally be done too. There is one wall with wallpaper that needs removal and fresh paint. There are lots of cracks in the paint along baseboards, corner beads, door frames that would ideally get refreshed. All walls would be painted white, except one wall with an accent colour.
3. Window repair. There is one window (lower pane that opens inward) where the seal in the insulated glass seems to have broken (fogged up between panes).
We are open to hiring for any subset of this work. There are other fixes that we're looking for help with, but the repairs above are the main ones.
Original wood door to balcony in 1920's apartment building has two rectangular windows half the length of the door. One was just broken (moving furniture) and just needs to be replaced. I prefer non-toxic materials (ie, silicone) and no paint and just replacing the single pane of glass, nothing else.
Thanks!
The apartment building is over 100 years old. The front windows have been repaired by current owner (I'm am purchasing from him soon) and the windows have actually been made by him. They do not fit the frames and are made of aluminum. One of the frames is rotting. The back windows are the original wood, sliding windows. Would prefer to keep or replace with similar.
What we have:
The top floor of a Victorian-style duplex in downtown Montreal.
5 rooms - 4 are counted as bedrooms, 1 is a living space
4 regular doors, 1 new accordion-style door
What we want to do:
Switch one of the regular interior doors with the new accordion-style door
Why:
There is a room in the apartment that doesn't have any accessible windows as per its design many decades ago.
Instead of using that room as a bedroom, we are now going to use it as a the new communal space. The previous communal space will be a bedroom in lieu.
The new room was without a door at all when we took over the lease so our landlord temporarily fixed it with a new accordion-style door. The accordion-style door doesn't have a locking mechanism, and it isn't sound/light-proof; it isn't ideal for a personal space.
So, we would like to switch the doors that are currently with these two rooms. The completed project would have the accordion-style door with the windowless room and one of the original doors with the new bedroom.
Hi,
Please provide an estimate for labour only for the following:
1) I need a part of a wall torn down between two adjacent bedroom spaces. The opening would be the size of double doors.
2) In another room that has double doors, I would like the doors and a wall put up in its place however I need one single door opened and installed.
3) Buy and install an outside door that leads to a basement crawl space.
Thank you for your kind consideration.
Jenny
I live in a 2 year old condo development. I have had problems with water leakage from a sliding door and window unit. This problem was apparently due to improper and careless caulking at the time of acceptance. Necessary repairs were completed in October 2008 to prevent this problem from recurring. These included removal of wet insulation, removal of mold, drywall, etc. New insulation and caulking was applied and area was re-drywalled. The problem has resurfaced and I believe it is due to an improper or careless installation of the entire window/door unit. The water damage may have compromised the structural integrity of the wood framing around the window as well as the flooring.
I want to enlarge a window that is currently 33" x 45" to 49 1/2" x 56". I have the new window, however, I need the labour. This includes cutting of the exterior brick, installation of the framework and window, and finishing of the exterior brick and interior drywall with paint. The window installation is on the ground level.
