Hello, our basement bathroom is a disaster. The previous owner had no idea what he was doing when he installed any of it. Our shower was especially bothersome so we recently decided to replace it (been a little delayed with the arrival of our new baby) However, when beginning to tear out the old shower it became apparent that it was put together even more poorly than we thought and it might be a job bigger than we can manage ourselves (including moving the shower drain) But we are now without a shower in the basement. Just wondering how quickly we would be able to get an estimate and get work started?
The amount of work to do depends on pricing. If it costs a lot, my husband will do some of the work himself. If it's reasonable it could potentially be a full bathroom remodel (small bathroom)
Thank you for your consideration!
The back wall off my 1963 housem is cracked horizontally from window to window in basement. Last yeart because of the snow I had water in my basement for the first time since I purchased the house in 1986. I have removed the back patio and plan to landscape the yard and correct the grade this summer. I need to know how much wall bracing costs so I can then plan money to fix what was a raised 1/2 bath to a ground level 3/4 bath. The wall that needs braced is approximately 30 feet long. I don't know how many braces are necessary but would appreciate a ball park figure.
I need my basement bathroom to be totally renovated all old wall, floor should be changed and slope proper, nice ceiling
I need that new dry walled, tape, mud, painting, cover the duct areas, put new shower, and make new shower not bath tub, new vanity, may be new toilet as well, I need baby diaper shower attached to the toilet they are just available in Toys R us and are $80, (I have one attached in my bathroom upstairs), nice new lamp
I need all plumbing and electrical to be done by the same company
I need on time people and finish the project in one week and it means 5-7 days and I really mean that.
I would like contractor which concentrate working on one place at the time.
I need contractor which take all the construction junks after job done and clean the area if you give me quote include every thing please.
I have a 40 square foot bathroom that needs a new cupboard/sink and bathtub, tub-surround, i have already purchased the toilet. I also need the plywood on the floor replaced and drywall replace as water got under the floor and created mold. I can do any electrical as i am an electrician and possibly the plumbing too, so that just leaves the flooring ad dry-walling, but i can paint myself. So i just wanted an estimate on how much this would cost. Thanks
Main bathroom total gut. We want to remove the tub and create a large walk in shower with glass doors. We want the shower to be tiled with some marble accent tiles. The vanity will be white with two sinks. We want Caesar stone counters. The floors will be dura-ceramic. The toilet will be white. New lights.
I am updating my main bathroom, and have all the materials already, but I need someone to install the materials for me. This would include new linoleum, new toilet, and new vanity counter top. If possible, if these three things could be done in the same day that would be ideal. Please provide a quote for these services.....thank you!
I want to gut our bathroom and then hire someone to remodel it. We have an old home, built in 1928. The bathroom needs a exhaust fan installed, drywalled, new tub and surround, an upgrade to the plumbing, toilet installed(already purchased), flooring(possibly lino), insulation/vapour barrier etc.. The bathroom is approximatley 50 square feet.
I need the bathtub replaced (and depending on what's going on, maybe need new sub-floor under tub, & new drywall); I have a wand shower in tub, but want a fixed head shower installed. Need vanity/sink replaced, and new mirrors and lighting. Then I would like the tub surround tiled, and maybe the floor too.
So, need a bit of everything done in as short a time as possible...we do have another bathroom in house, but no other bath/shower, so can't be without for a long period, obviously. Budget is limited, as is time, as I suspect that there are mold issues to be dealt with. I need your help!
I need a quote for the main bathroom, includes tub surround, tub, toliet, vanity, lino, replace and repair any damage behind the walls, may need subfloor as I have a water leak.
I also would like a quote for a basement wall including drywall and stippling the celing
I am looking for a reliable proffesional do do the work and I am getting quotes the winning quote will depend on price and the availability to complete work
We presently have an approximately 20+ year old two storey house. Both bathrooms on the second floor require complete re-building. We are looking for complete renovation of both bathrooms. Basically gutting and starting over, new toilets, sinks, tubs etc, new flooring, wall covering. We will supply our own new vanities. One bathroom requires some minor work in reducing the size of a closet.
Just purchased a home with an open unfinished basement and would like to find a contractor to finish the Basement of a 1833 Sqft bungalow built in 1984. All outside walls are framed, insulated, and dry walled. Plumbing is roughed in for an additional Bathroom. Looking to frame and drywall two bedrooms, a bathroom, Furnace room and a storage room, remaining basement will be open layout and would also like to have bulk heads installed. Also looking to havea floating ceiling grid and tiles installed. Complete bathroom to be finished with a stand up shower, heated tile flooring, sink w/ vanity (stone top) and toilet. Basement to be carpeted, Looking for a lush underlay as well as a thick carpet in the basement. Also would like to include cabnitry for a wet bar with Stone top. One other inclusion I would also like to have one more basement window cut into the basement, thus would have to cut through partial concrete. I am Looking for a rough estimate as to the costs to finishing a basement so I can start talking with the bank to get things rolling.
Currently room is two solid concrete walls with two windows; the shared walls are not drywalled. The concrete floor is in good shape but has a floor drain in nearly the middle of the room. The ceiling is open and unfinished. I would like two concrete walls framed and all walls drywalled, a flat floor, a finished ceiling with a pot light or two. There is an old storm sewer cast pipe that I would like to have chopped and capped. I will purchase a new washer and dryer that will need to be installed and old washer and dryer removed. There is a nonfunctioning water softner that needs removing and I would like to reposition the water heater if possible. I appreciate your responses!
Looking to completely gut and rebuild a main bathroom in a 1970's home. the approximate size is 10x6 including tub space. Custom build vanity but reuse current countertop and sink. Keep same toilet, completely replace bath tub and surround. The surround would have to take into consideration there is a window in the middle of the surround. Completely remove and re-install electrical, update plumbing to pex. Completely re-drywall entire bathroom, mud, tape, and paint. Remove and replace current lino with laminate or lino.
Typically. how long would a project like this take, provided there was only access to the location after hours and weekends. I see from some research and other quotes that this would cost around $5000-$6000 if there was nothing fancy, just a basic remove and replacement. I am just wondering what would be an average cost.
The bathroom is approximately 5'x7' and has a mould problem. It needs to be stripped out to the frame and all new mould resistant material to replace the removed material, including insulation. It also needs a new window installed and an exhaust fan installed. Needs a new sink, a new bathtub and (possibly) a new toilet. The budget is $10k - $15k. I am the property owner and our family cannot leave the premises during the renovation. There is a 2nd bathroom in the home.
My mother-in-law is looking to renovate her bathroom in the basement. The bathroom has a sink and a toliet. The toliet is broken (it leaks all the time if the water to the toliet is left on). She is wanting to put in a stand-up shower. The bathroom is very tiny so the bathroom will have to be expanded. The bathroom is directly under the upstairs main bathroom. If you have any questions please contact me. Thank you
the bathroom is somewhat started (plumbing is in, toilet/sink are functional, and walls are up. there is already a drain in the floor and shower head and tap on the wall. the drain is in an ackward place, and we do need a shower stall that will be easy access. not sure if it will need to be build and tiled or if there is an enclose to fit but we are willing to do either. Hopeing to have the project done soon, as it will make daily care easier for our son (he is disabled, so we are hoping for an easy access). The bathroom is in the basement and was "as is" when we bought the house. the house was built in 1990, we bought the house in 1994.
Shower stall is leaking so want to take the opportunity to completely re-do shower. Custom neo-angle shower stall dimensions are approx. 17 x 35 x 35 x 22 with 24 inch shower door 92 inches high. Light in shower stall but son is electrician so he can do electrical work. Would like it re-tiled but unsure of style or type of tile.
The house is 15 years old and in excellent condition -- I just need a change. I have chosen the tiles (Just - ORO), but not purchased them yet. So, if you want to include a price for tiles; that would be great. I will need approx 300 SF of 13" x 13" tiles and 8 sheets of 1" X 3" mosaic tiles, and that's what I would like this estimate based on. These tiles are for both bathrooms. In the main bath (floor size approx 65" x 58") I need tiles on the floor, above the tub surround, and mosaic around the counter (Quartz - DuPont, Zodiaq - Saddle Brown, which will be installed during the renos -- again, chosen, but not purchased yet). In the ensuite, I need the regular single-sized white shower stall removed, along with the tiles around the top, and then the shower stall needs to be rebuilt, so tiles can be installed (for a tile shower). I also need tiles on the floor and half way up the walls (with mosaic tiles for the top boarder). Again, I will need mosaic tiles around the newly installed counter. I can provide more precise measurements if necessary, but I'm hoping the 300 SF estimate provides you with enough information to give an estimate. I would appreciate separate quotes for the tiles, construction, and installation. Finally, would like the floors in the ensuite to be heated. That's it. Thank you. Edie
