We have room for a single garage in the rear of our house, but no garage there now. There is a crumbling sidewalk that would need to be removed and a small wooden shed. There is a fence in place now, but it is falling down. It would need to be removed and started again. The front walkway is brick and crumbling. It also needs to be raised up a bit.
Hi,
I am looking at purchasing a home and just before we make our decision, I was hoping to get an estimate of how much the garage I would like to build would be. I do not have exact specifications, but an idea of what exactly I want.
Here is what I would like:
1. Slightly over-width double wide garage
2. 1.5 - 2 car-lengths deep so that there is room for a workshop and motorcycle in the back
3. Garage would be heated and fully insulated/drywalled
4. A single, double-wide garage door
5. Door entrance at back and possibly front as well
6. At least an eight-foot clearance for vehicles, and open space above for extra storage
As far as anything being in the way, there would not be any trees, shrubs, etc. in the area where the garage would be built.
If I could get a breakdown of roughly how much each part of this project would be (pour pad, frame, insulate, shingle, etc.) and a total, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
Chris
I am looking for a company to build a detached 24x24 double car garage. I would prefer 8 foot garage doors in height minimum, I am okay with higher as long as it is not a big jump in price. I would prefer a single door for easier entry and exit as it goes into a alley way.
My wife and I are looking at homes in Regina as she is being relocated for work. The couple we have found do not have a garage so I am looking for quotes. I would like for it to have power going to it. Also would require garage door(s) opener. Drain if possible but I am not sure of what the codes or regulations are in Regina for that. Insulated and one man door towards the rear of it (Back of Side or Rear Wall). Shingles, siding and such. Cement pad. Any permits and such to be included in price. Looking for a "all done" estimate. No current garage sits on site and land looks to be pretty level.
I would like to have a double garage built on my home property in the Broders Annex area. While I am living there the building will serve as a 4-season music studio (that does not have to be sound proof), and a separate single-car garage. Once we sell the house years down the road, I would like to be able to easily transform the studio portion to the second half of the garage.
Because it will be a 4-season studio, I would like to have in-floor natural gas powered heating of the water. Also, to increase efficiency of that heat, I would like the garage doors to be insulated and sound-proofed.
Basement is already spray insulated and dry walled. Total basement area is approx 700 sq ft. Need to build a bedroom 8'4"x10'2", closet 48"x80", full bath w/standing shower 5'8"x6'6", shelves 36"x80", mechanical room 32"x80", open rec room 14'4"x13'3". With carpet on floor and paint.
Also quote on detached single car garage. Heated and non heated.
I have a 26 wide by 24 long garage that will need to be built at the end of this month. Pad is poured. All lumber will be delivered. Work schedule got in the way again so i need to hire someone to come in and built before the winter.
1 window, 1 door, 168 overhead door, shingles, sofit and facia to be done.
I will wire the electrical and do siding myself.
Need a qoute.
We want the old garage torn down and a new one put up on the same footprint.
We have a design purchased from Terri Upton; we have an engineer's report because we want it strong enough to put potted tomatoes on the roof; we have applied and received a variance from City Hall, because the garage is quite close to the property line.
The design respects the old architecture (replacing it, in fact, on the front) in keeping with the heritage style.
Can you please give us an estimate?
Christine R. and Ken W.
My home was built in 1929. The single detached garage is in need of either extensive repair or replacement. It currently sits directly on the ground - no blocks or concrete flooring - and has had extensive water damage as shingles were not replaced. I also intend to repaint the exterior of the house, replace storm windows to PVC's, and replace the back door - eventually leading to a deck, so I am looking at a contractor whom I can build a relationship with over time.

I am looking to get some quotes for a basic new garage build on one of two properties I am considering buying. I would like to get some quotes for a fairly basic garage, mostly just used to store and keep my car safe, maybe store a few tools and/or bikes. I'm looking for a single car garage, with an automatic door for entry and exit, a man door and possibly a small window. I'm guessing a size of around 12'x 20.' I am a prospective buyer. Likely the most basic materials, that are still sturdy and of good quality for the life of the garage.
Hello,
My husband and I recently purchased a house and would like to build a detached garage in our backyard off of the alley. We are looking for someone who could possibly take money at the end of the job as we are using our mortgage plus improvements- and all funds are with the lawyer. We have approximately $35, 000. We could get you a letter of guarantee if you need. We are looking to start the project as soon as possible.
We are wanting to build a three car garage approximately 33x24 ft. We were wanting about 3 windows, two man doors and a two car door and a one car door. We would like some outside lights and inside lights. We would also like outlets both inside and out. We need a garage pad with a apron. There are three trees that need to be removed before we can start. And we are wanting to talk about the option of having gas and power go to the garage and trench lines to the house, so we have no overhead lines in our yard.
Please let us know if you are able to work with us.
Thanks,
Erin
