I'm looking for a contractor to come and adjust my teleposts and whatever is necessary to settle my house. I'm in over my head and it's become evident it needs to be done.....I'd rather someone come and do it than me screw something up. There is more to it than just leveling....floor is heaving, and there is a wall that is pushing on the floor....I think.
I would require and estimate before I'd let you guys start. Let me know since I'd like this done before I start laying down my new floor.
What I want to do is remove the car port that is attached to my house right now and put in a garage with a work space and have 3 bedrooms that will be attached to the main portion of the home above the garage. If some one is willing to offer a free estimate on what this would cost me please contact me.
I'm looking to get half of my attached garage ceiling drywalled. The area is approximately 10 feet x 21.5 feet, and contains 2 light fixtures. We are also needing a trapdoor cut out (framework is already there) to allow access to the attic for insulating.
We do not need mudding and taping at this time, but once the entire garage is insulated and drywalled, we will be looking at that.
Thanks!

I have an attached garage that was originally a carport - rebuilt as a closed garage sometime in the 1950's or 60's. The foundation consists of a concrete grade beam on piles. Over time, the piles in the far corner of the garage have slumped significantly causing that corner of the building and the roof line to drop quite a bit off level. I wish to correct this situation by either raising the corner of the foundation and therefore the building back to level - or by raising the roof and rebuilding the walls to support it.
I understand my options are: 1) mud jack the piles and raise the foundation.
2) underpin the foundation and pour new piles
3) leave the foundation where it is, rebuild the walls and raise the roof.
I'd like to talk to someone at your firm about these options and maybe other options I don't know of. I'd like to get an idea of what can be done, when it can be done and what the costs would be.
There was an accident at my house and my garage was damaged. The frame for the large door was knocked out of alignment, making the automatic opener unreliable. The door might be unsafe.
There is a gap between one side of the frame and the side of the garage.
The siding on one side of the frame needs to be replaced.
I'd like a time & cost estimate to see how to repair it.
We want to design and build a new double garage, and an office that may or may not be attached to existing 50's style bungalow on Regina Ave. Would consider adding an all-season sunroom if it's going to save on costs by doing everything at once.
Would like some design input but plan to possibly use in-floor heating.
Looking for a quote from a contractor that could oversee the whole project including permits.

the home addition is to build a crawlspace instead of a basement at the back of the house, the addition is sized to be 10' by 20' and will be used as dining area. It will be constructed in such that it tied in with existing roof line and basement foundation. The crawlspace is to be finished with air tight, moisture barrier, ventilation, and insulation to meet building code. The addition will be finished with lino floor, min. 2x6 construction, insulation, barrier, painted, re-use and install existing triple-pane vinyl window and install a garden door to deck area.
The garage conversion is to convert the existing attached 2 car garage to two bedrooms. The garage is sized to be approx. 20'x20' Each bedroom is equipped with a sink and a toilet.
Please submit your detailed building proposal.
Hello,
My husband and I own a small 711 square foot home in Arnheim Place. We have considerable yard space and are thinking of building an addition, as well as some renovations to the main living area. This is what we are thinking would be required:
Renovations:
Knock out one half wall dividing kitchen/living area (approx 5 ft)
Add approx 5 ft of counter space and cabinetry to kitchen (kitchen has been updated, ideally to match existing)
Replace kitchen window
Remove existing hardwood/lino throughout and replace with vinyl
New baseboards and trim throughout
Minor repairs to exterior (small section of eave and siding)
Remove load bearing wall and integrate one main floor bedroom into living room area.
New bathtub, fan, and vanity in existing bathroom.
Possibly replace one exterior, one interior door.
Addition:
Approximately 400-500 square feet, main floor addition. Looking to add 2 bedrooms, one including an ensuite bathroom. Ideally we would also like to have a main floor laundry area. We do not wish to touch the basement at all.
Realistically we need a professional to look at the site and offer some suggestions as to what is feasable in our location. We are trying to get a feel for what would be plausible and cost-effective.
House was completely gutted and upgraded over 20 years ago, and needing some upgrades again. Order of importance until the cash runs out.
~ 1000 sq ft of mixture hardwood & tile to replace with new laminate, new baseboards, and casings.
remove wall & closet between 2 small bedrooms.
- replace carpeting in basement
~ kitchen counter top , sink replaced and add tile backsplash
- update or replace the stairway spindles / banister
~ upgrades to bathrooms depending on cost
I have a four level split (1700 sq. ft.) that needs new flooring, paint, trim throughout the house. The ceilings are very textured so I'd like those scraped and made smooth. New lighting fixtures are needed throughout the house. The kitchen needs new cupboards...new sinks/faucet...and I would like a wall knocked out to give it a more open feel.....would also like More counterspace. 3 bathrooms need doing....new sinks and toilets and showers/and or bath...and of course flooring and paint. I also need the basement drywalled...and a wall or two put up.
My project is consists of:
- Extensive renovation of basement, main and upper levels, including:
- New flooring throughout,
- New kitchen
- Redo family room (new cabinets, fire place, windows reconstruction, etc)
- Reconstruct/adjust some of the windows
- The square footage of the house 3650" (2-story). It was built in 1987 and it had never been renovated in the past. It's located in new Albert Park in Regina.
I would appreciate if the contractor would provide the following information: company history, services offered, licensing information, experience levels and portfolios of previously completed projects.
Thanks
Hassan G.

Hi...we are in the process of buying a house in northwest regina. We just had a home inspection done on the property and there are a few things we need to have done. First of all most of the windows were painted shut but it is recommended we have them all sanded and stained, checked for mold and mildew....another major concern is the landscaping. Now in the past the owners had the house jacked up and the basement braced but did nothing with the surrounding landscape and the entire way around the house needs to be lifted, tilted away from the house so any moisture isnt going to ruin the concrete foundation. We are thinking about removing and/or re-paving the entire driveway...perhaps asphalt rather than concrete. The house is 979sq feet. The garage needs a new foundation. There is a lot of work and we are on a budget so any assistance would be appreciated. The house was built in the 1950's.
We own a 1700 sq. home. and built in 1987. Would like to have exterior landscaping and interior renovation done to the home. However, we are also seeking someone for our basement which is sinking ( one side of the house is slopping.) quite terribly. We are seeking long term and affordable solution. We are enteraining the idea of having the whole basement demolish and redone (but we await the your expertise to tell us what is best to solve our problem) therefore being able to design and renovate the space to be more open and welcoming. The biggest concern right now is the slopping, as doorways are jamming and cracks are showing in the corner of the door ways. Depends on the estimates we may also consider other interior renovations. We are seeking someone who is willing to be patient, honest and work with us to ensure our home will be a safe and comfortable living space for our family.
Thank you kindly
Kathy
We bought a 1040 sq foot bungalow in Parkridge and now we are the owners It was built in 1989.
The renovations we need.
Yard regraded and 2 new window wells.
Roof is missing 3 shingles, some flashing needs repair, and the vents are not stapled down. We need an access panel cut in the garage. The eaves trough also need looking at may only be leaves not sure.
The basement needs a small kitchen put in it for a daycare and more lighting. We also need 3 bathrooms re floored with luxury vinyl plank and about 750 ft of luxury vinyl put in the basement for the daycare.
The heating and electrical work has all been fixed, by professionals.(Excluding the plumbing to the kitchen downstairs and extra lighting ).
We need the work done as quickly as possible. Thanks hope to hear from someone soon, Heather We expect the budget to be $20000.00 to $25000.00
We are seeking quotes to replace the siding at our home with the new style stucco. In addition, this would include house-wrap and foamboard insulation.
The house is about 40 years old and located in Albert Park. It is a single story with 10" wood lap siding that will need to be removed.
Thanks very much,
Sincerely,
Alan
Required to get at least 2 quotes for repair on SW wall of our bedroom. There has been some damage to the window and or wall from suspected ice damming. Our insurance company will pay for full repair of the window, up to the entire SW including insulation and dry wall and painting the entire room including the ceiling.
May possibly be looking at having 2-3 vent holes put in the soffits as well as vent/screens installed, and have some of the insulation pulled back.
