We are wanting to take out and move some cupboards to replace a 36" stove with a 48" stove. We need a new hood fan installed and exhausted to the outside, the current one is not. We want to paint our cabinets. Replace current granite countertops with new quartz or granite. New backsplash, we would like the area behind the stove the same material as the counter. Replace 2 sinks, one with an apron front sink, and 2 faucets. Replace 7 light fixtures.
We are looking to renovate our kitchen - new cabinets as well as knocking down a load-bearing wall/closet to put in an Island. Our quote request is for kitchen redesign (cabinets) and wall removal only. Our kitchen is currently about 150 sq feet, which includes the "dining" area. We are not looking for anything fancy, just functionality.
we are gutting our kitchen and putting in new cabinets, this however requires a wall to come down, electrical to be moved ( we have an electrician that will do this as well as a plumber) back splash and floor. It is a small space and cabinets should be pretty simple, We are wanting to start as soon as possible and will be ordering cabinets and counter top in the next week or so.
We would like to do the following in our kitchen:
-there will be a 6 foot long wall to knock down and repair the ceiling stipple from that
-new cabnets for a 9 foot wall and a 13 foot wall, we like the light wood (oak, maple birch, etc)
-6 foot attached island with built in cook top
-replace the window(42") and frame
-new sink and tap
-some electrical will need to be moved (4 light switches and the oven plug)
-new counter top (quartz)
-replace the floor in the kitchen/dinning room/sitting room (`380sq/feet) (vinyl), sub floor is has a dip in the middle so my need to be repaired or replaced
Our was built in 1983 kitchen is little out dated and not very open.
Age of house: 1930's
Kitchen size: approx 12 x 15
No serious renovations appear to ever be completed.
Currently:
plaster walls, original custom made cabinetry (low quality) and old appliances. We have refinished the original hardwood floors recently. (the only real reno in kitchen)
Renovation would entail:
Drywalling
New cabinets and shelving (top and bottom) - semi custom potentially if required.
New appliances - stove, fridge, dishwasher, stove hood
New countertops
Move location of sink
Install dishwasher (do not currently have one)
Move/Install electrical for change in location of stove
Would want this renovation to be completed in the near future - next few months if possible.
Kitchen remodel using old cabinets when possible which will include all new doors and refinishing when appropriate. New quartz countertops, new stainless steel double sink, backsplash, removal of drywall above cabinets (which includes pot lighting) to extend upper cabinets to the ceiling, small remodel of island. Keep tile flooring. Fridge opening needs to be wider and taller, all decorative shelving removed and replaced with cabinets. Add drawers and pull-outs to existing base cabinets. Add low 16" deep cabinets to corner on left side. Left of fridge add 24" cabinets floor to ceiling or 16" floor to ceiling depending on how the tile can be added under 24k" deep current cabinets. Large corner cupboard on right to remain with refinishing side oak panels. New doors to be uniboard. Add over the stove microwave.
Our home was built in 1977, there have been no structural renovations done since it was built to the best of our knowledge.
We are looking to remove part of a 12 foot wall which currently has four cabinets on it (see picture attached). We would be keeping the lower half of the wall which houses cabinets, the dishwasher and countertop.
This is simply a removal of a partial wall and drywall finishing. Part of the finishing would be to install some corner shelves where cupboards were removed and to properly drywall, tape and sand exposed surfaces for painting (which we can do).
Need to have someone familiar with house structures to ensure removing this wall is an option (that its not a bearing wall). Request that a permit be shown as well by the successful candidate.
I have attached two pictures; One is of the kitchen side of the wall to be removed. The top four cabinet from right to left are to be removed. We wanted the wall cut down to the level of the counter. The second is of the opposite side of the wall to be removed and has a sunflower picture on it to give you an idea of the space.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.
We want to remove a wall between our kitchen and living room which is appr 20 feet long with a door opening. We believe it is a lode bearing wall and it does have electrical and duct work running through it. The kitchen is appr 18x12 and the living room is appr 16x12
We will be choosing maple cabinets from Nu-Fab but need the wall removed before we can do this as there will be an island installed.
The house (on an acreage 15km west of Saskatoon) was an RTM and was built in appr 1968. Original cabinets, windows, flooring, etc. An addition was built on in appr 1984 which created a family room, addition on to the master bedroom and a on-suite bathroom.
I would love the kitchen/great room to be as open as possible and hope that the wall being removed will not be an impossiblity.
I have a Galley kitchen that needs new cupboards. I can no longer reach the top cupboards but need new ones simply for resale. The bottom ones I need drawers because I can get more in drawers than I can cupboards. I would like to be able to keep the counter top that I have because I paid over $4,000.00 for it and is granite. I need a new fridge with bottom freezer and new d/w both black. My stove will have to stay white for a while as I bought it about 2 years ago.
I have had quite a few falls over the last few years and have lost 5 in of my height. I want to stay in my house as long as I can without having more injuries by having to reach. I would like my microwave to be put somewhere I can reach it without fear of spilling whatever it is all over me.
I would like you to phone me but unless I recognize the number I don't answer the phone because all of the stupid phone calls that come in. If you would just start telling me what you are calling for I will be able to get to the phone.
