From start to finish affordable comfort was very professional. We had Tom come out and quote us a year ago and when we finally decided to go ahead with the install a year later he was able to quickly provide us a more accurate quote and set up a time for install within a week! The technicians that came for the install were professional and friendly and did everything I their power to get the job done in one day. They were as clean as one can be when installing fireplace and cement board... they even vacuumed the room once completed. From start to finish affordable comfort was great! I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gas fireplace install! Thank you

I have been working with Affordable Comfort for many years. Tom and his staff do excellent work. They use drop sheet to protect the floors and the jobsite is always left clean when they leave. The staff are always polite and professional when dealing with my staff and my customers. I have used Affordable Comfort for personal installation and repairs as well as hiring them on my jobsites for everything from new furnaces, new hotwater tanks, infloor radiant heat with, replacing existing duct work, installing new ducts into additions and installing gas fireplaces. Always a quality job and done on schedule. They have taken the extra time to ensure everything is done right and work late to ensure a job is completed on time.

Repairman checked CO2 levels on furnace blowing cold air and gave diagnosis of cracked heat exchanger [$600 to replace] and didn't check anything else. I didn't feel confident with his expertise, so I got another company to replace the furnace. Turns out that it didn't need replacing . The heat exchanger wasn't cracked . The high CO levels were from a clogged exhaust. So replacing the exchanger wouldn't have fixed the furnace and would have put our family in danger of CO poisoning. He make an assumption from the reading and checked nothing else. If you go with this company ask for someone with experience. Manager told me that the tester is $2000 and is never wrong, but it depends on who's using it. I still got charged for the wrong diagnosis.

I was disappointed when I heard that you felt this way. I can assure you that we sent an experienced service technician who has been doing this for many years. As I discussed with you on the phone, I went over the technician's documented notes from your call and his readings, the symptoms, findings and your year/model of furnace all indicate defective secondary heat exchanger. Your brand of furnace was actually involved in a class action lawsuit due to the fact that their secondary heat exchangers are failing prematurely. Your specific model is listed as one of the models affected. I would be happy to send you follow up documentation on this if you would like. We use specialized analyzers that are designed to test for defective heat exchangers and although they are not infallible, ours are calibrated annually as per governing licensing body to ensure accuracy. The CO levels that the technician had found were extremely high and could very easily become deadly. As such, we feel the technician acted accordingly. I also would like to clarify that your model of furance has a safety switch built in to prevent the furance operating if the exhaust was blocked, as claimed by the second company. The symptoms the technician discovered when he arrived, did not indicate a blocked exhaust and our technician would not have been able to take all the readings he did if the furnace was not operating due to a blocked exhaust. I feel I should mention, as you explained to me on the phone, that the second company that came in simply replaced your furnace. The only heat exchanger examination they did was look at the top of the primary heat exchanger (which completely covers the secondary heat exchanger) as they were removing the old furnace. In no way are you able to examine or diagnose a defective secondary heat exchanger that way. Since there was no large visible cracks, they informed you that the heat exchanger was ok. This is either due to their lack of experience or is blatantly misleading.

They did such a fantastic job that we asked them to come back again twice to install a water softener and tankless water heater. We will be calling them whenever we have any heating or cooling needs!
