Hello,
I am looking for quote for removal of popcorn ceiling and application of knock down ceiling. I had considered a flat ceiling but have been told it's very difficult to get it perfect so knockdown is better. I'm not sure about that so I would like to hear what your professional opinion is.
Date for the job: March 7, 10 or 11.
Location: Edmonton
Size: under 1100 square feet
Available for viewing March 1st or later
The apartment will be vacant
Thank you!
Bev
The job consists of two parts.
First, on the main floor, we did some renovations which included moving a light fixture so it was centered in the room and the addition of patio doors. We needed to cut out drywall in the ceiling to move wires etc and filled in the hole with drywall mud. We have been living with it for several years and its probably time to redo the ceiling so it all blends in. Room is roughly about 40' x 17'.
Second job is on the second floor. We had a number of drywall nails come out of the ceiling and some separation between a couple of walls and the ceiling. I think the ceiling needs to be redone and repairs made to the drywall/ceiling. Again, this happened several years ago and there isn't any water damage.
I would like to get the damaged drywall on the ceiling (please see the attached picture) replaced and painted. Walls closer to the ceiling need to be painted too to match the colour of the ceiling. The ceiling got damaged by a water leak. Also, some wood around the water leak may need to be treated to prevent mould growth.

Aprox. 3x3 ft section of ceiling has pulled away from the drywall due to heat from a fireplace. The vents have been repositioned, but now the ceiling needs repair.
Received an estimate last year. Full family room ceiling sanding and repair was recommended. Unfortunately I cannot locate the estimate or the company who did it. Please respond if this rings a bell for you, or if you wish to provide an estimate. We want to go ahead with this repair right away. Thanks

I would like T-Bar ceiling installed in my basement. I have the acoustic tiles purchased already but I need the T-Bar and the stuff to hang it.
The basement has 8 foot ceilings except for a area that has ducting the drop to 6.5 feet. There might be some drywall work required around the ducting.
Aproximatley 1000 sq ft spread across 1 large room and 2 small rooms (washroom / laundry room) requiring t-bar.
Ready to start project immedatley
Okay this is a small small project but extremely frustrating because of what we do not know
and is a no brainer for someone experienced. We want to change the plastic 2'x4" lenses(?)
for the flourescent fixtures in our ceilings. The old ones were nicotine discoloured. When we
went to buy the replacements, they are too wide by about 1/4" and too long by about 3/4".
This means either finding the right ones or cutting the stock (Rona, Home Depot, etc.) ones.
We tried cutting - forget that -they are very flimsey and break right away. So, where can I
buy the right-sized (commercial(?)) ones?
