100 year old home basement is crumbling and leaking on almost every wall. It is a square basement. Main floor uneven and support beams are starting to break.I need is a new basement and new support beams in place. the basement is about 1000 sq. New material please can't give more detail then what I have given.
We are looking to renovate our upstairs bathroom. We have some mould along the tub and I'm sure there is mould behind the tub surround, which is just a crappy Totem do-it-yourself surround (that I'm sure is just glued right onto normal drywall...doubtful there is even proper moisture barrier behind it). Basically, we are looking to gut the bathroom down to the studs, deal with any mould issues, redo the tub surround with tile, tear up the lino floor and replace with tile. If at all possible, we'd also like to install a ventilation fan, as there currently isn't one..was is it with old houses not having bathroom fans?
We have no idea what to expect in terms of cost - we've been told expect anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 - we'd love to keep our budget in the $5,000-$7,000 range if at all possible.

Just request an approximate quote to erect a 30 x 24 ,4/12 pitch, 16 ft door, 36 inch entry door, 2 4ftx 3ft windows, 15 year shingles, vinyl siding. No interior work at all. Would like it on a footing not slab! Just approximate please as will be building in May 2020 in Lethbridge residential area North! No interior wiring heating or drywall!
I need a quote for the construction of a double detached garage (26' x 30') complete with electrical, insulation, drywall, plumbing for a sink and drain, etc. Vinyl siding, double over-head door (16'), asphalt shingles as well. There is, however, a small single shell of a garage (on an old cracked cement pad) standing on the site that would need to be torn down and removed first.
hi,
i would like to replace my furnace with a high eff. one 98%, however to also have the duct work cleaned and sanitized when old one is out, due to allergiy and health problems. 2 new toilets, gutters, soffit and fascia, as well as some insulation and air baffles put in attic areas, i need a couple exterior doors with weatherstrip installed, and possibly a couple windows in in the budget. i also need my carpet fixed, is not very old but needs to be re-kicked in places, and maybe a quote to fix the hardwood under it, or get a price anyways.
I would like to build a 1200 to 1500 sq.ft. shell building with 12-14' wall height. Two 10'x10' overhead doors in the endwall, one man door, and four windows. Steel siding and roof. I would undertake the electrical, insulation, vapour barrier, lining, permits, etc.
Wanting to build attached garage with living space above, attached to existing home. floor plan will be approx. 30' x 32'. the existing house is about 55 years old. want to hire contractor to build new structure, frame interior, windows , doors etc. finish roof and finish exterior on new structure and existing house. interior insulation, drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring etc. not to be completed by contractor.
In existing house I am wanting to demo bedroom and kitchen and make into big kitchen, requires moving exterior door and staircase to basement.
Hi!
I am thinking about buying a home that is pretty bare bones and I want to know what I'm getting myself into. Take a peek at this listing for room dimensions: LD0075921
The basement is 760 sqft with two bedrooms and I'd like to turn it into a legal suite. I don't want the lowest end of the spectrum because I want it to be durable, but I also don't want to pay for the high end finishes. I will pay whatever it takes to sound proof the basement ceiling.
The main floor and top floor are 1600 sq ft combined. There are three more bathrooms and three more bedrooms as well as a kitchen to finish. If you look at the MLS listing, you'll see just how much needs to be done. Again, I don't need the nicest finishes (I don't care for granite or marble), but I need durability.
I would love to hear ball park figures.
Have a terrific day!

We have taken an old house and added on to it and now would like to either gut or rebuild (possibly with a basement) the old part. This part now consists of two bedrooms and a small living room. Would also look at including gutting or rebuilding the bathroom as well. The goal is to end up with 3 bedrooms and a living room or rec room. If gutting the property is preferable choice a new roof would be necessary and we'd like to build up to include a loft.
Site conditions: House built in 1950's - great shape. Prefer good quality materials at a reasonable price, some electrical has been done on the house. Bathroom is 10.5 x 6.5 feet...needs to have Premier Bath installed and some electrical for small washer and dryer....tub needs to be ripped out and wall (4 x 8 feet) needs to be taken down and then retiled.
The house is 21 years old. The deck is enclosed by the house on 3 sides and the roof of the house extends over the deck as well. The deck connects to the kitchen and I would like the deck changed to a 4 season sunroom, widen the entrance to the kitchen that opens onto the deck. I would like the window of the kitchen removed and the kitchen door moved to be the sunroom door. There is a bench on the deck that has to be removed and my dryer vent is located under the deck and would have to be moved. I want the house heating and air conditioning to be extended to the new sun room. Also want installation of Endless Pool Water Well in the SunRoom. Requires excavation and concrete pad for the pool. This will take up most of the space. Will require some kind of drainage system and a water supply to the house. Need power to run pool. Special instructions come for pool installations. Will require flooring suitable for wet surface. Need an exhaust fan for humidity. Also want a door and steps leading to back yard. Windows to sunroom need to be privacy. Also need heated floor.
In addition want to install skylight in kitchen with glass that helps keep the heat down. Also am looking to customize a couple of kitchen cupboards.
All of this, of course depends on quote, how expensive. I want finished quote to be detailed and broken down so that I can see exactly where the money is going so that I can change materials or directions in case things are too expensive. I need someone who is willing to work with me in a very open manner. Thank you.
Do not apply if you are not insured and do not have the proper licences, etc. I also need someone who works and cleans up after themselves, respects the property, and who can start soon and finish promptly. (work one job at a time)
Need to make attic into bedroom, must be framed, insulated, electrical, built in closet space, drywall mud and tape (no paint), rough floor (no carpet or flooring) we will provide heat and air. Needs one window replaced and a new window put in. The site needs some cleaning before construction, the floor can be built over top of exsisting insulation. The house is 99 years old
Build garage, 9x9 front porch addition, similar size back porch addition, insulate the exterior of house, 24 window replacements, siding, stonework, some inside work replacing load bearing walls with beams, finish carpentry coffered ceilings and wainscoting living room and kitchen and master bedroom, fireplace mantel and tapered columns inside and out. Closet construction, for front entry, utility closet, bedroom closet, build staircase to basement.
Newly purchased home in Paradise Canyon had foundation settlement issues several years ago which were resolved with installation of screw piles that were pinned to the foundation. However main floor settled 3" in middle because the screw jacks under the load beams also settled and were not adjusted. Require quotes to remedy main floor settlement and drywall repairs caused by the settlement. We take possession May 1st and would like to start remedial work prior to move in.
I have a shower in my bathroom. I have the tiles already I just need the old cheap plastic removed put a water proof backsplashon it. I would also like a shelf put in. I also need a new faucet. It is my only bathroom in the house. I need the job done right not too long. It does take time for the backsplash to be put in the tiles on also. I would like it done in a month or two. Thanks for replying back to me
