We have just had a new back door installed as part of an extensive series of renovations and improvements. We had the door installed
8.5 inches above grade and I have installed a raised insulated floor
inside. Outside we need to have a step up to the door sill. I think the step should include a ramp to the side to facilitate wheelchair access or dollies for moving heavy items. So the dimensions of the step will be 5 feet across by 3 feet (or whatever the code minimum should be for wheel chairs), with a ramp up measuring, I guess, another 5 or 6 feet long to the right. The height of the step will need to be about 7 inches.
Other info: House is 2 x 6 construction built 1988. Site is basically flat with back door facing north. The concrete slab has just been lifted and now has a grade away from the house.
My garage floor is breaking up and cracking along the lip and entrance from the driveway. The lip appears too high, or perhaps the driveway sunk. This is about 1-2 feet wide across most of the space by the double width garage floor. The weight of the vehicles started this cracking & peeling. We have tried to add some topical concrete repair, but that keeps breaking apart. It appears as though the concrete will require cutting and new concrete poured. My home is 17 years old.
I am looking for on line estimates only at this point.
