The project includes the following:
1. installation of wood mantel and flat wood pieces
2. supply and installation of two painted white wood shelves and wood piece under mantel
3. supply and installation of stone
Mantel:
97.5" long x 8.25" high x 4" thick
I already have the new wood mantel. It is to be installed across the face where the existing drywall mantel is. You will need to remove the existing mantel to install the new mantel.
There are also 2 flat wood pieces (87" long x 12.25" high x 1" thick each) to match the mantel that need to be installed to fill in the flat space that the TV sits on. The biscuit joints for these to connect to the mantel are already done.
I would also like 2 wood shelves installed in the bottom left side open space below the mantel and a piece of wood installed under the mantel for the stone.
Supply & install cultured stone.
Stone to be installed everywhere except the back wall and the wall behind the lower shelves. This includes both columns, the face and underside of the arch, and around the fireplace.
- Columns are 10" wide x 9' 6" high with a 6.50" return on left side to window wall and a 24.50" return on right side to inside wall.
- Arch is 87" wide and 19.50" underside return to back wall
- Fireplace area is 8" wide on left side x 11" wide on right side x 6" wide above (this 6" will also be carried across the front on the left side below the mantel.
- Electrical switch for fireplace on right side of mantel will need to be relocated above the existing light switch
- Access hole for cords needs to be cut between top of mantel to shelves area
- Bottom row of moulding below crown will need to be removed so the stone can be installed flush with the base of the crown
Please see attached pictures of the space along with the stone sample we have chosen. It is Echo Ridge Country ledgestone by Boral.
