We would like to completely renovate our master bathroom. It is very small, approximately 5'x5'. We'd keep the same footprint, put in a new shower, toilet and sink counter. We'd also tile the floors and halfway up the walls.
We could do the demo ourselves if it helps, and we have a friend who will do any necessary plumbing.
Thank you for your time.
Homeowners in New West would like to redo our small "cheater ensuite" bathroom from the studs up. The room will not be made bigger, though.
Size: 7.5ft square with standard 8 ft ceiling
one exterior wall with lead-glass-block window
main door on opposite wall to window
pocket door to bedroom on 3rd wall.
Currently there is vinyl flooring, a cheap sink cabinet, a 2-pc 32" neo-angle shower stall, and a toilet. There is a fan.
Directly below is the utility room (water tank, main stack) with an open ceiling so all plumbing is easily accessible.
We are dreaming of a 3-pc bathroom with compact steam shower (custom tile and glass enclosure), so need someone with experience installing these units and constructing appropriate stalls. We would like a heated tile floor and a towel warming rack.
If interested, please contact us to discuss in more detail! We're flexible on timing - anything from ASAP to 4 months out.
I am inviting offers of contracts for two bathrooms in my 1930's home:
1. Existing bathroom renotation on main floor: Complete gut of all cabinets, vinyl flooring, fixtures and bathtub. The drywall (over plaster) also probably has to go. Then, install new drywall, floor (tile), cabinets, fixtures, tiles around the tub, glass door, trim and painting.
2. New bathroom installation in basement: Rough plumbing (pex), electrical and drywalling is done. Needs floor (tile), cabinets, fixtures, concrete board/tile shower stall, glass door, trim and painting.
For efficiency and cost savings, the work on both bathrooms can be done in parallel, since I have a third which can be used while the job is in progress. To save wastage, the same type of tiles, etc. can be used in both bathrooms.
Please contact me to arrange a time for an on-site visit. I will require a detailed cost/time estimate and references for previous similar jobs in the area before choosing a contractor.
Thanks,
Gordon.
We are in a condo in New Westminster. The building is being repiped and our unit in particular is being done in July. We would like to coordinate the renos with the repiping project.
Both bathrooms are 9'x5'.
Front bathroom - new shower stall, tile, floor, cabinets, light fixtures
Ensuite - remove bathtub - install shower stall, new floor, cabinets, lighting.
The condo is about 24 years old - we will want to install with low to middle end fixtures.
