We hired Elite Trade Painting through Sean Kipfer at their Mississauga location. At first Sean was very friendly. When the work started things went very bad. Right at the beginning there was shoddy site preparation. Floors, millwork, cabinetry, doors and other fixtures were not covered and very little was taped. After the initial wall patch and the painting started, the house was a huge mess, with paint spilled on the floors and drips all over doors etc. We confronted Sean Kipfer about the bad work and damage; he asked for us to give him the chance to fix it and make everything right. Against my better judgement we allowed him to try and fix their mistakes. Things only got worse... Elite Trade Painting did a butcher job on the walls and the ceilings. We paid for two coats of Benjamin More Aura. We did not even get one coat. The walls felt like orange peels with bubbling and imperfections everywhere, huge sections of walls were missed, they used ceiling paint on the trim .... Basically everything they could do to cut a corner they did. The painters we requested quotes from to fix the job advised that Elite Trade Painting watered down the paint, and did allot of dry rolling. It was not just sloppy it was deliberate. The quotes we received to fix the job, were all higher then it would have been to do the job from the beginning because of the cost of fixing Elite Trade Painting's damage. That does not even take into account the cost to refinish the floors or millwork. We contacted head office and Sean Kipfer and advised them of what happened and got no satisfactory response.
