My experience with Environmental HVAC Systems Inc. (EHSI) was top shelf - I can’t say enough here to do it justice. Professional, timely, personalized, caring, quality, cost-competitive, versatile and customer driven all come to mind. Late on a Friday in February, our 20-year-old Furnace gave out (the blower motor seized). In a pinch with young kids at home, I reached out to my usual HVAC contact, a much larger company that I’ll call “ABC”. ABC came out Saturday for an after-hours service, they did the diagnosis and gave me an estimate for a “new” HVAC system installation for Monday. Great! Heat in a couple days with a new system fully installed! As I thought about this some more on Saturday, I realized ABC never offered to explain their system options, their costs breakdowns, any rebates etc. Reaching ABC by phone on Saturday/Sunday to make changes while ensuring heat for Monday wasn’t happening. ABC’s website wasn’t helping – I was in the dark.

After speaking with family on Saturday, I investigated Ontario’s Energy Rebate programs online. Through this site, I entered my info so one their partnered HVAC integrators could reach out to me ASAP for a new system. First thing Sunday morning, EHSI phoned me to follow up. Right then, they answered all my pressing questions about HVAC System options, costs, rebates and they were able to meet me at my place later that Sunday afternoon! EHSI patiently walked me through all their HVAC systems, each option and their benefits and costs, while even advising me of the pros and cons for each. EHSI also initiated the Ontario Energy Rebates process for me, even taking the time to explain all the energy saving options (from a Smart Thermostat, extra insulation layer, air sealing, high efficiency furnace etc.). I never felt rushed or pressured.

EHSI was able to provide me with a high-quality system ordered late that Sunday afternoon for a next day installation on Monday! And they came through seamlessly on Monday, even with little extras: direct vented outside 2 pipe system and they covered ABCs after hours service fee. Since EHSI had shown me how the Smart Thermostat’s website and iPhone App worked, I came home late Monday fully confident with how to operate my new Smart Thermostat controlled system. In the days that followed, EHSI also contacted me (by phone or text) to offer support and answer any potential questions - this was outstanding. I was most impressed that EHSI was able to offer such a “package deal” for considerably less than ABC, with several extra costly features. I would highly recommend Mike and his team at EHSI any day!

Mike was very professional at measuring up the job and everything fit perfectly. The install crew was efficient and friendly. No complaints loved the job. They cleaned up after themselves and removed everything. Would highly recommend Mike and his crew.

These guys are true professionals. Clean polite and know what they are doing. Really enjoyed the experience I had with these guys and will calling them soon enough to get my A.C. replaced. Highly recommend Mike and his team!

I recently bought a house in Hamilton and amongst other things, wanted the furnace inspected. Since the tag attached to the unit indicated that it was installed in 2011, I didn't expect any issues. I had two companies come out to have a look at it.

The first company had a serviceman who after looking and listening to it for several minutes suggested I needed a whole new furnace. The issue was a motor with noisy bearings and the serviceman said that replacing it would be so costly that I might as well consider a new furnace. The second company I had out to look at my heater was EHSi, Mike Peddles' company. I liked what I had read on his website about environmentally friendly initiatives and notably, his company was also well reviewed by previous customers. When Mike appeared at my home, he presented himself in a professional manner. He seemed well informed and efficient. After assessing the unit he told me that he would look into whether the furnace overall was still under warranty. The motor wold need replacement, but suggested that a new motor could be purchased and installed at a reasonable cost. He also looked at the high efficiency piping and suggested that the angle for drainage wasn't correct and that that could be taken care of during a follow up visit. Upon receiving a quote from Mike (which amounted to about 20% of the cost of a new furnace) I asked him to take on the contract. The work was done during the scheduled time and on budget as per the quote. I was very happy with the entire process and Mike saved me thousands of dollars.

Mike showed up when he was booked to arrive.... (that is a miracle itself with many workers) and he gave a detailed quote that was designed for me to understand. It was a very reasonable quote and he will be assigned the work. Great communication. Easy to reach him and a very organised company.

After having other technicians look at my air conditioning problems. Your company arrived at my home in the a. m and in the p.m. my unit was repaired and back in service. I was very pleased with their knowledge and workmanship I would defiantly recommend them if you need service.

Environmental came to inspect and cleaning or HVAC units and I couldn't be more pleased with the process. From initial contact, to quote, to the day of service, everything was done professionally and friendly. Even though it was just a simple job request, they still made sure to fit me in during their busy season.

A month later we had Mike back to service our gas fireplace. It looks like new again and is burning cleaner after some adjustment to the air supply. The price was fair.

Mike came in to install a new humidifier control to our furnace as the old one was removed when we had some renovations done to our basement. Not only did he do a great job with that task he took a look at how our furnace was running, made some adjustments and explained why he made them. Thanks for the great work and for tweeking our furnace settings! Everything is running like new now. :)

Mike was excellent right from the start. He explained clearly to both my mother and myself what he would do and provided comprehensive quotes for the options available. Work completed was excellent. It is hard to find a good tradesperson to complete quality work to a very high standard but Mike is certainly one of the very good ones. I would use him again to replace my own furnace in the future (my mother's was completed) should the need arise and I highly recommend him.

I was doing some digging around my house for weeping tile job and needed my A/C removed then reinstalled once the work was done. Mike is very professional and knowledgeable. He was here quickly for both the removal and reinstall which was great to have my A/C back when needed

Mike and the guys were very professional and did things right from the first day at our house. Very prompt and professional. Great company. I had mike come out to look at my A/C as it wasnt blowing cold air. Fixed her up and very reasonable.

Mike (The owner) came personally for a service call on my existing water heater which the previous home owner had installed. The gas hook up for the heater was done incorrectly and not to code and the heater itself was finished. Mike laid out a few options for me and helped me chose which was correct for me. He was there the following Monday to do the install of a new water heater, the job was done neatly and Quickly and the price was very fair.

Over the past year or more we have used EHS and they have always done amazing work. From hot water tanks to gas lines to full furnace replacements and repairs. Mike was prompt in answering our inquiry and installed two new Ecobee thermostats at our office within a few days. We had issues with large variances in heat being circulated in different areas of our office and Mike was able to regulate that. Our basement was flooded due to sub pump failure which damaged our furnace. Mike came out and switched it out with new unit the next day. Happened over the weekend which wasn’t a problem. It was also February so getting it up and running fast was pretty important. Would definitely call Mike again and highly recommend.
