There are coatings designed for masonry, and others for concrete or high mpa/dense materials. Interlocking pavers can be considered for a high gloss or matte finish. Imagine having a fully hydrophobic water proofing membrane that is 100% transparent from the bottom of a foundation to the top of the building.
