Cost of labor to hang drywall?

I have a basement that needs to be finished. Walls are 9ft and the studs are wood. I need labor costs just to hang the drywall. No mud, no sanding, and no material cost. It's about 2000 sqft so I assume about 45 peices of drywall.

What would I be paying if I had someone give me a quote of 70 cents a sqft?

Only looking for cost right now.

It's about 1600 sqf of walls plus 2000 sqf ceiling. So 1120 plus 1400 = 2520, but in real life price depends on bulkheads, corners and other criteria.

This price is standard for hanging drywall. The best thing to do would be shop around get 2-3 quotes, them pick the company you like best. I would recommend to make sure you find someone that has lots of experience in drywall as if it not done properly your walls will look horrible on the finished product.

Hi Jose,

Really depends on the space and how many bulkheads, if you have proper 54" sheets instead of the standard 48" sheet as that would make it more difficult for the drywallers.

If you have 2000 sq ft of ceiling you also have to consider the wall sq footage as well. A fair price in the Kitchener are for hanging the board will be between .45 - .70 a sq ft again based on bulkheads and other items.

For a basement of your size you are looking at anywhere from $3600-$5600 roughly.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I've been doing this type of work for so many years. My company would charge $1500-2000.
