Underpinning/Permits

My Neighbour is underpinning his basement. I live in a semi detached and our properties are connected by a wall. He had asked for my written permission in April. I gave him the permission to do the work. He has gotten all the permits for the work. In June I sold my home and when the buyer's lawyer looked into any open permits, a party wall admin permit popped up under my address. I never applied for this permit and I have not done any work on the party wall. My neighbour's contractor is still working on his basement. How would I close this permit because it is not mine? Is my neighbour's contractor supposed to close it? How will it affect my sale?
