I have a wall to wall mirror with a mirror frame around it. Water has gotten behind the frame in one spot and is now tarnished.

The mirror frame was glued on and can not be removed.

Is there any way of fixing it?

Hi Marie,

If the mirror was glued to the wall with PL construction adhesive, it will release with Varsol and some patience. Squirt the Varsol in behind the mirror and go slow.

A glazier can answer the tarnished mirror question better than I, but mirror is not that expensive as a material. Consider replacing it when you remove the tarnished piece.

Go slow. Wear gloves and protective eye wear.
