I'm building a home in the spring. 30'x40' with a basement, and 2 floors on top, and a 700 sq ft garage.
I'm planning on using Mitsubishi air source heat pumps for the 2 upper floors.
Roughly how much would it cost for an in-slab hydronic heat system for the basement (1200sq ft with 3 zones) and the garage (700 sq ft 1 zone)?
Is it worth while using in-between floor joist (dry below) hydronic heat for the upper levels? Wouldn't you need to use a LOT more tubing loops because the vinyl plank flooring wont conduct the heat very well?
Thanks!
