Hello!
We are looking to get some type of laminate flooring laid on our main floor. It consists of a kitchen, living-room, and entrance hallway. We estimate that there is about 500-600 sq ft of area to do. Also, we need this done between the weeks of July 22nd- August 9th, as this is when the house will be most accessible. If these dates are not available from your company, could you please let me know instead of sending a quote? We are not sure if we would like to buy our own flooring or go with flooring from the hired company we choose, so if you could please provide quotes for both installation and installation with materials. This laminate should be able to go overtop of existing flooring. You can contact me by email or by phone. Please leave a message if there is no answer.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Kaylin
We are wanting to paint in our livingroom/diningroom area including our entrance and hallways. We also want to remove our carpet and replace with either hardwood or laminate flooring. We haven't decided but we do have the square footage for some estimates to do this would be great. To do the LR/DR & Hall the footage is 380 sq ft and for the BR's it would be 450 sq ft plus 10% for wastage. We would also like to replace the flooring in our kitchen with a laminate and entrance but I don't have the sq ft for those areas. If I could kinda get some info and idea of what it could cost? I know the told sq ft of our house is about 1280 sq ft so I'm going to say the kitchen and entrance could be about 350 approx because we are leaving the bathrooms and not doing them at this time. I'm also thinking we maybe able to paint the kitchen ourselves but if you want to give us an idea of what it maybe to paint in there that would be fine. We know what we would like to pay in order to try and get this done but would love to get some quotes or estimates and if anyone can let us know if it would make much difference in putting in hardwood over laminate. Does it make a big difference in the value of your home? We have 2 kids ages 13 and 8 and a small dog. Will the quote or estimates include taking out the carpet or would we have to prepare somethings before anyone would come in?
This is a large office space, 3400SF with a foyer/reception area, 9 offices, 3 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and a large open area approx 1300sf (included in the 3400sf)
Please quote approx cost for flooring installation, we will purchase the flooring
we do not have possession yet so physically seeing the space is not possible at this time.
I have recently moved to Winnipeg and purchased a condo. It needs help.
Kitchen needs vinyl plank flooring and carpet removed (yuck!). Master bedroom needs removal of existing yuck and replace with a wonderful berber. Can you help me?
I thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
Joanne
I am looking to have my gas furnace (which broke down over night) replaced, quickly, most likely with an electric system. Also would like to have a central AC system installed, and possibly a new high-eff electric hot water tank.
Here's the kicker, I need it done on financing, be it through hydro or otherwise. BUT, I am not looking to rent any equipment or get on any monthly "maintenance and future repair" payment plan or any of that...I want to purchase the equipment, via finance.
Thanks!!
The flooring is oak hardwood and is the older style of flooring where the strips of flooring are narrow. The house was built by Qulico in 1969. A furniture company had damaged the flooring by setting down a refrigerator causing a scrape on the flooring (approximately 100 cms and a smaller scrape less than 33 cms) I purchased the house in August of this year. The previous owner had re-done the hardwood flooring before putting the home up for sale. She had used Dura Seal 210 Neutral by Minwax which (she left a gallon of it in the laundry room area).
Purchased 460 sq ft of Maple 3/4" Hardwood flooring for 412 sq ft of space in living room dining room and hall toward bedrooms..Decided to get estimate for install instead of doing it myself. I would remove baseboards and carpet to get work space ready for installers.
I would also bring hardwood boxes up from basement and move around the furniture as needed in timely manner. Would want estimate for install only. I own the house.
Overall: Condo is 340 sq ft. Studio/open concept condo. Closing date on condo is Sat, Sep 9, and I'm looking to defer moving in until these reno's are complete. Looking to have movers come on Mon, Sept 18 so targeting project timeline of Mon, Sep 11 - Fri, Sep 15.
Hardwood floor is worn so looking to sand and re-finish. As noted, my belongings won't be at the property yet so will be easy for you to work in.
Just looking for either repair or refinishing of an older hardwood floor. First floor is about 900 sq ft, but the hardwood is only around half of that size.
Looking for the best, cost effective way to improve the finish - right now either scratches and finish is gone in some places.
I was looking for a quote on refinishing or repairs.
Thanks
I am very serious about purchasing a condo that is in an old character building. There are hardwood floors in the living area but they are unfinished and they squeek and creak when they are walked on. I would like an online estimate of fixing the creaking problem and also putting a high gloss finish on the hardwoods. I like the color of the hardwoods so that is not an issue, I would just like them finished and more shiny.
I have an older smaller home in the Riverview area that is roughly 820 square feet. The hardwood flooring runs throughout, but the two bedrooms are still carpeted. We would like to remove the carpeting and refinish the whole floor. There are a couple spots that will need repair, and we would also like to remove the "squeak" in many spots/ all over.
Can someone please give me a rough estimate as to how much this would cost.
Also I'm not sure about how the refinishing process works, and would like to know if going another colour of stain is possible, and how that affects the price.
I am just in the beginning stages of getting this organized, I have a tenant moving out within the next week, and we are moving into our house in a month, so we have some time in there to have something done. I will put pictures up once the house is empty. So I'm sorry if I don't have enough information yet.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I would like to replace my flooring with either hardwoods or laminating flooring. The house was built in 1983 and there is no previous renos that i know of. Also I have two stairs with 6 steps each that i would like to get done also. Please any estimates would be great and any feedback on what my best and most affordable option would be. I'm looking to sell in a couple years and doing this to add value to the house.
I've got a baby on the way and a 10x12 room that will be the nursery that has unbearably squeaky floors on one side of the room. The room has carpeting that is not glued down and that I've been able to pull back and a drop ceiling below in the basement, so there is access from above and below. It looks like there's a bunch of screws and nail in the floor under the carpet already, so I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm just looking for someone who can help me get rid of these squeaks.
Hi,
I would like get some flooring done which includes Vinyl, Laminate and Carpets. The Laminates would be in the Family room, stairs, and the Halls. The carpets in the bedrooms, and the Vinyl in the Kitchen.
Some windows also needs to be replaced.
Would like all this to be then as soon as possible. At the most with in 3 weeks.
Thanks for your time.
This is a labour only project. We already have the hardwood and are looking for installers to install 420 square feet in 3 bedrooms. The adjacent hallway already has the same hardwood and this will extend it throughout the balance of the main floor. We have removed all furniture, carpeting, underlay, staples, and nails and ensured all screws are countersunk.
What's left to do is:
- ensure the floor is level, lay moisture barrier if necessary, and install hardwood.
- cut and install new baseboards
Preparation of floors which we have been told involves levelling, planning down of some areas and remediating squeaks. Need pricing for materials required for prep (ie. levelling compound, etc) as well as labour cost. Laminate flooring as well as underlay have been ordered and are now ready for delivery and will require the 48-72 hrs. resting period. Need pricing for installation. Total job is for 775 sq ft (no stairs) with 349 sq ft to be completed asap and the remaining 426 sq ft to be completed in 2015.
I am currently interested in online estimates only as I have just began to research the cost of installation. We have purchased laminate flooring for our "L" shaped living/dining room. We did have a contractor set up to install however due to health reasons he now cannot install the flooring for us. Measurements provided when purchasing the flooring worked out to almost 400 sq feet (store added in an extra 10% of flooring). We are willing/prepared to remove all baseboards and remove the old carpet & underlay if it will save on cost. The age of our house is approx 35 yrs old.
As to info above, we are looking for a fair price to install laminate but we want to ensure it is done properly by someone with experience in this field. Uncertain as to how much to budget for this project as I have just begun researching how much it would cost - I have received varied information (ie: anywhere from $2 - $4 a square foot). Also, some of the quotes I have rec'd to date vary depending on if the home owner(s) are willing to do the prep work.
