Hello,
I have a house in Hamilton that needs some repair done to the front porch. The porch has a roof and has sunk approximately 4 inches. It needs to be raised up to the proper height and secured or have new footings poured.
The location of the posts that hold up the roof are not in line with the footings so some changes may need to be made to reinforce the posts.
The top of the deck is rotten and needs the plywood and wooden boards removed and replaced as well. New wooden stairs and rails will also be needed once the deck is levelled properly.
Please view the pictures to get a feel for the setup and give me an approximate price based on the information..
Thanks,
Kory
Privacy Screen across back of lot - It is an approx 30ft stretch where I would like a privacy screen. There already exists a wood fence so we won't remove it, just put the privacy screen in front of it. There is a shed at the back of the lot and I would like the privacy screen about the same height of the wall (around 10' high). Something decorative.
Hi there,
I am looking to have a small job completed to have an existing 8x12 composite deck re framed by a licensed carpenter /framer having recently discovered rotting posts. The deck is of a very simple rectangular design, no steps (as part of the deck) with a surrounding vinyl railing. This job would also require replacing all of the footings with concrete. Please let me know if you require any specifics and I can forward you pictures.
Please let me know if you can assist with this project.
Thanks,
Andy
Existing porch needs to be removed and replaced. Tear down of old porch and installment of porch supports needs to be coordinated with the installation of a concrete patio. Ideally the porch is a 2 phase project. 1) tear down old porch and install supports 2) intall concrete patio including under the porch 3) install the porch floor and side walls.
We have 4 wooden stairs and railings that have rotted and are beyond use leading to our back door. We would like to have them replaced but we would also like to have some ideas for a ramp.
My husband uses a walker and his mobility is getting worse. We need to have something done as soon as possible - it is dangerous right now.
New home requiring second level deck. Approximately 30' X 12'
Also require fence for the yard. Roughly 220' linear to be shared with nighbours. We have some pictures of samples that we would like the deck to look like. Please advise how much % increase it is to build the deck with red cedar compared to pressure treated wood.
I purchased a new-build home in December 2013. I came with a two-story balcony deck (roughly 4ft x 13ft). I want to replace the existing deck boards from pressure treated to composite, put in a new railing (standard 48” railing from Home Depot), and extend the current joists or cantilever out another foot to make the deck 5ft x 13ft). I currently have all the materials, I just do not have the time to physically perform the job. Looking to contract out the labour (weekend job).
Our townhouse is 7 years old, our paved driveway has a sinkhole, wich obviously needs fixing, we want to put a walkway up the side of the driveway with steps to match, and then resod and grade the front lawn.
We are looking for blacktop for our driveway and either Interlocking bricks or slabs for the walkway and stairs.
Permit required & drawings. Wheelchair ramp and front deck addition.
Remove side hedges, metal handrails. Build a porch on top of cement stairs? Add shelter and railings and gradual slope ramp off the side of the porch towards/under the bay window and wrap around to driveway...
I am the new owner and move the end of the month. My mother will require a ramp eventually. (there is a side entrance, but believe there is not enough room there without losing space to drive a car up to the garage.
I may simply purchase a metal removable, but if I can find a handy person (and I can totally help with labour)....
