I am a property owner who needs to demolish the existing garage and remove all contents and debris. The size of garage is wood frame and approx. 15 ft x 22 ft in driveway.
Then Build an enclosure, wood frame over the exposed outside door -the approx size of 55 in. x 60 in. with door, siding, inside walls, insulation, and shingled roof. Finish inside walls of enclosure. I have drawings and open to suggestions and discussion for slope of roof or finishes.
Story and Half Home - Built in 50's - Currently no garage.
2 Possible Garage Options:
1) Attached to the house (10 x 15 portion attached to the house + 20 x 20 portion extending behind the house - total length = 30 ft). Brick facade + siding. 9ft garage door + man door. 2 - 4 windows depending on total cost.
2) Detached - (20 x 20 or 18 x 22) - 9 ft garage door + Man door. All siding - no brick. 2 - 4 windows depending on total cost.
Would like to build a 20w x 30d garage for rear yard that would incorporate a workshop/ garden work area in rear. Planning on stowing 1 vehicle plus a motorcycle inside (should accomodate a RAM 1500 truck through door with motorcycle beside) and would like it to have storage area above. Would be OK for a start time in fall as getting other work done next spring. Budget is hard to pinpoint but basically looking for cement pad and structure with standard rooflines, wood or cement board siding. Nothing fancy like heated floors etc. but probably would like to have a water line back there for a hose. Electricity already in existing shed.
