My house has a livingroom with a very dated popcorn ceiling. Unfortunately the previous owners painted over it and I am unable to wet and remove easily. I have heard of people using plaster to essentially fill in the ceiling to make it flat. This is what I am interested in.
The room is 13ft x 22 ft.
Hi,
I am looking to get a quote on ceiling patch fixing & painting walls.
There’s a huge patch in the centre of ceiling & ceiling is textured. So I am looking to have a smooth painted ceiling to give it overall good appearance. Also need some paint job in the main living area.
I would request you to send a service guy to the job location to have a detailed look on this project.
Thank you
I am not sure if the full ceiling needs repair. I had a leak in my upstairs bathroom and it leaked through the ceiling. The plumber had to cut two squares (1-apprx 6" x 12" and the other apprx 6"X6". I would like to get an estimate before I go to insurance as I am not sure what is involved. Please advise.
Thank you
Hi
We are currently renovating a home we bought in London, Ontario. We have had electrically work done in our recreation room and the electrician has had to make a lot of holes to feed new wires. The problem is that it is a stipple ceiling and once the repairs have been completed, we are either looking at having the stipple removed altogether or have it restippled. We also have a small patch in the living room that needs restippling because of a minor repair.
Is this a costly thing to have done or is it comparitable to having it stripped of the stipple and just painted.
Regards,
Nancy
Hi we have a ceiling in a bedroom in a residential home that is leaking, there is a crack in the ceiling and it may be a roofing issue - we would like the leak fixed. It's not a huge leak but water is coming in so we're not sure how extensive the repair needs to be. Someone with both drywall experience and roofing experience would be ideal. Thanks! Free estimate required.
Our dining room ceiling has a scar/crack from a water leak. We need to either get it repaired (I think it's plaster) or covered with new drywall. We'd like some LED potlights (approx 10) and new crown moulding. Then to have the room painted. The room is approx 13' x 19'. House is 62 years old.
Approx 800 sq feet, sections divided by rooms, and bulkhead. Staying on the cheaper end when choosing a tile. House is 45yrs old. There are a few obstacles which include plumbing, junction boxes and an air conditioning line which protrude lower then the floor joists. None of those are lower then 3.5" so hanging the drop ceiling to 4" below floor joists would be perfect. Also the basement windows are boxed in with plywood. I am not sure what else to write up. Looking for a contractor I can trust.
I am looking to have a white drop ceiling installed throughout a chiropractic office. I am the tenant of the building and have the landlord's approval of seeking quotes and doing any renovations I see fit. The room sizes are:
Entry Room: 16' x 9'
Massage Therapy Room: 13.5' x 14.5'
Office Area: 18.5' x 13'
Hallway Area 1: 16.75' x 6.25'
Hallway Area 2: 26' x 40"
Rear Entry: 9' x 9'
Adjusting Room 1: 12.75' x 7.75'
Adjusting Room 2: 15' x 7.75'
I am looking at this job being cost effective yet having it look good and professional so the materials do not matter so long as it looks good. The job will require the strapping to be done as well.
Ideally, the job could be completed on a Friday or over the clinics holidays to give time for the job to be completed.
Considering renovation in main floor family room including popcorn ceiling removal, replacing track lighting with recessed lights, new carpeting and fresh coat of paint.
Also have spot on ceiling that needs to be repaired.
Considering having popcorn ceiling removed from the rest of the main floor as well.
Total area of ceiling needing attention is about 100 sq. ft. above cooking area of kitchen. At present spray texture celing needing sall area (2 sq. ft approx) repair due to water damage, (roof leak last year), plus some other sea cracks and uneven due to reno done 2 years ago.
Open to ideas: reapair and new texture (would have to match with adjacent hallway and dining area ceiling,
Or, perhaps replace area at issue with new smooth surface drywall for better cleaning in kitchen area,
Or, perhaps install tin ceiling or similar suspended or over the cooking area which would be framed somehow to seperate but coordinate with adjacent area not changing.
Northwest London area (Whitehills)

Thank you.
I have 2 small holes (4"x 6") in the living room ceiling that originally were from a water leak. The leak has been repaired but the holes need repair. There is some black substance around the larger of the holes. Could you give me a quote as to when and how much it would cost to repair. I will be repainting when all is done; however, the ceiling has a textured surface, so it would need that too.
I await your responses.
Thank you.
House built in late 1940's, after significant renovations to roof and foundation my living room ceiling needs major repair.
The ceiling currently has a spackled finish, but it is cracked and has water damage from previous roofing issues.
I suspect that the ceiling in part or in full needs new drywall.
I am looking for a competitive quote.
I also have a basement that I am in the process of finishing. I need a wall and door put into the basement, as well as some drywall in the basement entryway.
We had a leak in our ensuite bathroom shower due to which water leaked through the ceiling on the floor below. The leak has now been repaired. However there is a hair line crack in the ceiling approximately 1 feet long and a bit of water stains. Need an estimate to repair and fix it so that it does not look damaged.
I am hoping to fix a hole that was cut into my kitchen ceiling to fix some plumbing. Size is roughly 11" by 13". Plaster ceiling. I am only requesting assistance with filling the hole and taping / mudding. I would be able to complete the finals stages of sanding and painting. Thank you!
Hello, my husband and I just bought a house that has quite a few popcorn ceilings that we are hoping to have professionally removed.
We are looking for a quote to have them removed and would want it to be done during the week before we move in - sometime between June 25 - 29.
There is approximately 850 sq ft of it and we are also considering removing it in the basement which is another 200 sq ft so we would like a quote for both.
If you can also include details about how you would remove it and what condition it would be left in (unfinished, painted, etc.) I would appreciate it.
Thank you
Hello,
I currently have popcorn ceilings in my apartment, and for now I'm looking to get the kitchen and master bath resurfaced. The bedroom is 14' * 10' and there is a seam is splitting from the ceiling across one side. The kitchen is 10' * 6*. Ideally I'd like a California knock down. I'll be getting the bedroom painted after, if that makes a difference.
Need a quote for issues stemming from water coming in somehow under roofing, and now through kitchen ceiling. Will need roofwork (?) and definitely fix between roof and kitchen ceiling..also flooring has buckled a bit from water...would this be something I could get a quote on?
Thanks,
Cora
