Estimate requested for exterior restaining of cedar house at Carlsbad Springs, 35 x 36 x 20 ft. high, including prior removal of mildew spots as required, and 2 metal doors (contrasting colour.) Metal windows and caulking seem OK. Job includes wood deck rails but not deck surface.
About 6 years ago, I reclad the south-facing front of my side-split house (built by Minto in 1965) with bevelled cedar siding (horizontal) and applied two coats of B-M alkyd clear stain 79-10, The siding has since weathered and I need some help in refinishing it (at age 68, I no longer feel very safe on a ladder with a bucket of stain in one hand and a paintbrush in the other). B-M no longer makes 79-10 but I think that B-M clear 328 stain is the one to use these days. I also think that the siding needs some sanding before applying the stain, that cleaning it with some sort of detergent would not help much, and that two coats of stain would be appropriate.
Are you interested in such a job? If so, would you be willing to provide advice on what needs to be done, a cost estimate, and roughly when you could do it? (early September is, in my opinion, the ideal period for such a job). I could send you a photo of the front of the house if necessary. The siding has a 4 inch deep face, and I estimate the surface area to be roughly 300 square feet.
Small townhome needs wooden window frames painted before winter. Will require sanding/removal of loose and flaking paint before new paint is applied. Service provider to include cost of paint in the quote.
5 second story windows (3 medium, 1 larger, 1 small/bathroom size)
3 main floor windows and patio door frames
1 basement window
1 garage window
I am looking to get a very simple job done. I need the exterior window sills/window frames painted as the paint has stripped and the wood frame is now exposed to the elements. I have a total of 3 windows and 1 garage door that need to be sanded, primed and painted.
I tried to do the Rust-Oleum Tub and Tile Refinishing. It didn't turn out all all so I tried to take it off, that made things worse. Need this fixed asap!! Repaint over, strip and then paint, I don't care how it's done.
If you take MasterCard then send me a message if you can fix this. Need it done asap starting Tuesday May 29th

We are looking to have wallpaper removed in our front hallway (it's small) and one of our walls (approx. 7 x 8). We then would like to have any repairs necessary made to the drywall and then a prime coat put on the walls (we have the primer here). We are looking for a quality job and we will be willing to pay for quality work. Online estimates only please.
It's not a big job, we just want it done properly and as soon as possible.
Hey guys, looking for an estimate on a project I was going to take on for the mother-in-law, but landed a new job on the West coast and won't have time to complete it. 95% of the materials are purchased and ready to use.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms around 100sqft each, hallway 35sqft, master bedroom 220sqft
Hallway has 2 straight pieces of nosing to be installed. One at stairs and the other in hallway looking downstairs. Also 2 transition pieces at doors to bathroom.
Carpet to be removed and disposed.
Main Floor: living and dining room 340sqft. Also 2 straight pieces of nosing as upstairs. And 1 transition piece to hallway tiles. Laminate flooring to be removed and disposed
Subfloor does sqeek a lot. That will need to be repaired(maybe have to open subfloor) and entire floor screwed down. As well there are 2 bumps that will need to be leveled or sanded down. One upstairs in master bedroom and one in living room. The one in master bedroom feels like its about 8 feet long and splits the room in half. The one in living room is about 10 feet long and divides the living room from dining room.
About 325 feet of casing and 325 feet of baseboard to be removed and installed new. Will need to be caulked/joints and nail holes puddied.
The areas that the floors will be installed in are going to need painting plus stairwell and main level hallway. Ceilings, walls and trim will need painting. There's an extra 80ish feet of window casing and 80 feet of crown molding to add to the painting. Walls are 8 feet high.
Hardwood is 3.25inch select maple natural pre finished from Mercier
Base is primed 3.5 inch by 5/8 inch pine.
Paint is Behr paint from home depot. EVERYTHING will need at least 2 coats of paint.
Looking for a quote just for the labour on this one.
I would also like to see what something like the pallet wood fireplace pictured would cost to build. Right now its just a flat wall. Would like an outlet behind the tv and pot lights like pictured in the ceiling.
Looking for a rough quote on the following:
2400 square foot home
- Popcorn ceiling being removed due to asbestos content. Roughly 1350 square feet of ceiling will require patching / smoothing and priming prior to paint
- Paint all ceilings in home
- Paint most rooms (roughly 1800-2000 square feet)
- 2 storey foyer / stair well --> paint walls
- Paint stair railing (flat handrail / square balusters) and stair risers
- Paint all trim and doors (10 doors, 4 panel shaker style)
I will supply all materials required, labour cost only. Walls are in good shape overall, some minor holes to fill (old picture hangers, etc) but nothing major.
Please let me know rough cost. Need a ballpark to determine when I can move forward with the project. Once I have a ballpark estimate, I will allow in home inspections to firm up cost.
We are looking for a ballpark quote on labour costs related to re-painting our house. The entire sq footage of the house is about 1700 sq feet plus 900 finished basement (clearly the wall size to be painted is less than that). We would like to do the ceiling and trim work ourselves, and buy the paint ourselves (Sherwin Williams is having their 40% off sale right now) but hope to hire a professional to do the bulk of the painting to speed the process up.
Thank you in advance!
Main and upper level of house to be primed and painted, 1 neutral colour, plus trim.
Main floor consists of kitchen, open concept living room and dining room, hall way and powder room.
Upper level, includes stairwell, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bath
Approx sq ft. 1600. - online estimates only to start.
I have 1000 square feet of interior painting that needs doing. I have bought the paint - 3 colours. The baseboards will need to be re-painted, as will a shelf for the kitchen (plus re-install after painting), as will a radiator cover (plus a re-install after painting). I have washed the walls so they are ready to go - I am aware that some re-caulking will need to be done at the baseboards, door frames and window frames (max of 5 windows, 4 doors). I would like this job done by Thursday August 11th. Please contact me and let me know availability and budget.
Rooms/sizes (all approximate) are as follows:
Master Bedroom (15x12 approx)
Living Room/Dining Room (23x11 approx)
Family Room (12x11 approx)
Den (11x11 approx)
Kitchen (17x11 approx)
Paint will be Benjamin Moore Aura or Natura. It will mostly be the same neutral throughout with two accent walls (one in the family room will be orange and one in the master bedroom will be red). Ceilings do not need painting.
We have an interlock and paint job request for our office.
1) Interlock: At our front entrance you can see that there is some section of stone missing and you can see the underpadding.
2) Paint: On the frame exterior to our garage door there is paint peeling, so we would like the frame re-painted.
Please arrange a time with me to come into our office to provide a quote for the job.
We are now renovating our kitchen and its components will be installed in a week or so, while the countertop won't be ready until 3 weeks from now. We would like the painting done between those two dates (between November 9 and November 23, or so)
The kitchen is 20' by 10'. The ceiling there needs primer. The hallway will be repainted in the same colour, but needs minor scraping and a tall ladder. The landing upstair is also included, also same colours. Everything is similar dimensions of a 3 bedroom house. If all this is easy to arrange and do and not too expensive, we might also throw in a small bedroom. We provide the paint. Contractor supplies everything else.

I'm looking for someone to paint a few rooms in a new home. I take possession of the home on August 18th and will be moving my stuff in there on the 21st.
I'd like to get an estimate from you on what the paint job might cost me.
As mentioned, I have 2 days to paint before moving into the new place. I will point out that the previous owners had the whole condo painted by Penny Southam's crew and, as such, does not require that anything be stripped, sanded or whatever.
You'll notice there is one red wall that starts from the main level up to the 3rd level. Incidentally, the walls are 8 feet high.
I have already picked out the new color for that wall. No prep work is required, save for putting down drop cloths / tape to protect the flooring and baseboards.
Also, on the main level, I want to paint the beige/sand colored walls in the main entrance and the family room (see pics titled "entry 2" and "family room 1", "family room 2"). Again, a color has been chosen and no prep work is required (except for putting down a drop cloth).
Finally, the spare bedroom (see pic titled "bedroom 2") will be painted a color similar to the one in the main bedroom. The small bedroom is 12 by 7 1/2. Again no prep work is required.
I wonder if you could give me a sense of how much time, money, etc might be involved. Please call me to discuss.
I have 3 main areas need to be done:
1- a patch of 3X3 was done in the main floor ceiling for plumbing fix. now need to paint it to blend with the rest. the whole room is 10X10 aprox.
2- one wall where a sheet of dry wall was replaced. now need to be plastered and painted then blend with the rest of the wall with a final coat.
3- exterior small paint job around an exterior window and the grage fram.
I need an interior paint job, trims and walls (I was told 1100-1500 sq ft because nobody has the exact numbers), townhouse build in 1975. No ceilings to be painted. How much would that cost me?
The best I could do footage wise is write what I was given from the listing:
Living Room: 15.7 x 12
Dining Room: 12.6 x 8.9
Kitchen: 12.6 x 8.9
Master Bedroom: 15.2 x 12
Bedroom 2: 16.11 x 9.11
Bedroom 3: 10.7 x 8.9
Bathroom: don't know
Hallways both upstairs and downstairs: don't know
Painting to include trim, doors and walls: Foyer, 2.5 Bath, Living & Dining Rm, Den, Family Rm w. 18ft ceiling, Kitchen, 4 Bedrm, 2 hallways, 2 staircases, 2 closets, 3 walk-in closets.
