I have acquired new washer and dryers that render my space quite awkward. I need to move my washer, put new counters and flooring as well as new cabinetry. I will need a drain in my floor before new flooring is put in to connect to the plumbing already in place. It is a second floor laundry room
This house is approx 50 ys old and requires everything new. Most of gutting is completed and what is left is basically the shell of the house with windows and doors, siding. Im looking for a contractor who will price me a quote on everything installed from drywall insulation to new HVAC system. Price is a factor but more importantly is integrity and experience of contractor (quality workmanship) who will be willing to take on this project for me.
Again this is a complete gut starting new but the house is small around 750 sq ft.
Hello. I am currently negotiating an offer on an 860 sq. feet bungalow (built 1945). I am requesting a consultation (and hopefully awarding the contract!) on cost of repairs. My timelines are bit tight as I would like to have this assessed prior to finalizing the offer; plus, I currently reside out of town (could be available July 22-25, negotiable). I could also send a delegate.
Details: Basement is 5.5 feet tall, full, unfinished (2+ feet showing above ground). Foundation wall has evidence of cracking and basement has moisture (French drain has been suggested). Steep slope roof needs to be reshingled and increased/improved ventilation installed, hopefully there is no futher damage to the roof itself. Although I've only had a peek into the attic, I would like to explore the posibility of making it useable space with proper insulation, flooring and possibly skylights.
Project: Installation of a stone tiled shower ~ 5ft by 3ft in an existing washroom with nearby water and drain supply.
I am looking for the following to be completed in regards to the above project:
1. Moving a 5ft section of non load bearing wall 10 inches with drywall finishing.
2. Plumbing : Installation of drain and water supply lines.
3. Installation of waterproof membrane.
4. Construction of Mortar Shower pan.
5. Installation of fixtures: shower head, control valves and overhead rainshower.
6. Electrical: relocation of 2 outlets, installation of waterproof shower light.
7. Glass block wall (one side of shower).
8. Stone tiling of the entire shower interior.
9. Finishing: repair of the surround, removal of construction debris etc.
I am looking for quotes on the labour parts of the project. I will consider contractors who will do part or all of the project. I will also consider an hourly rate for a handyman with experiences to do all or part of the project.
Thanks,
Rishi.
house is 1953; addition shortly after on slab. Slab is on grade, water infiltrates during heavy rain or snowmelt. Rats have penetrated, nested in insulation. Tore out flooring and insulation, and found rotting in boards at base of walls.
What are my options? Is there a way to build up the concrete or put in block at the walls/foundation, to prevent further water infiltration, without tearing out all the walls and starting over?
