Not looking for Contractors - just a very experienced Handyman with years of experience, a lot of knowledge, and great references.
House in Etobicoke, mostly renovated, but jobs need to be done to prepare it for market. I need a Handyman who can do all of this, or if anything is subbed then that person will have to meet those 3 requirements as well.
Kitchen:
Remove cutting board, new 1pc. countertop (L shaped, not granite), paint walls, add baseboards, + perhaps small aesthetic fixes to finish up around cupboards.
Remove Dishwasher and Fridge, Stove is gas, and dishwasher leaking to basement tiled ceiling but not used for ages.
Upstairs Bathroom:
Remove old 2 sink vanity and install new one (I found one at Rona that should be ok), paint walls and ceiling, install baseboards (no tile work, original is immaculate)
Office:
Remove carpet, likely resurface original hardwood, paint 1 panelled wall + 3 others (strip wallpaper) + ceiling, and if hardwood no good then I have samples of new hardwood already throughout upper floor
Downstairs Bathroom:
Install baseboards (vinyl is all that is needed)
Rec Room:
Fix drooping ceiling tiles (they're new, just a bad job, about 6?), baseboards
Family Room:
Baseboards
Laundry:
Baseboards, paint vanity doors (old wood, want a coat of white)
Downstairs Hallway:
Replace white tiles in ceiling where dishwasher above stained previously.
Outside Gate:
Metal gate needs wood in ground underneath replaced as it's moved/eroded which has affected the gate being able to swing open/closed.
That's basically it. Not a huge job but I need this done asap and also done well please. My elder father was the victim of terrible contractors before (hence the kitchen disaster) and it can't happen again. Time is also of the essence so a professional that I'd take pleasure in recommending would be a great experience at this time.
Thanks everyone, please respond if you are great, and can back it up. I'm also the kind of client that is direct, will be able to make decisions, and get things done right along with you when needed. This job is the priority.
I could use help with retiling a shower stall, as well as several general jobs inside the condo that require a handyman.
Some of the odd jobs inside my condo include, changing door handles, changing plastic electric wall sockets etc. I have already purchased the products needed for this project.
I have taken a bunch of photos that I can email, but, at this exact moment, I'm having a tuff time uploading them to my computer. I can email a few pics, providing I get this little challenge solved if this would be helpful to you.
Please feel free to call at €œany€ time, (morning, noon, night, real late night), your calls is welcome. 7 days a week.
If you happen to get my voicemail, please leave a message.
Ideally, i'm hoping to get help as soon as.......today/saturday, and or Sunday or Monday.....as......i'm hoping to list this condo on MLS this coming week.
Let me know, & again, feel free....to call.....at any time....any hour. charles

Hello,
I have a small condo in downtown Toronto in need of some random repairs. I am looking for someone trustworthy who would be interested in this for a reasonable price. This would include upgrading/repair bathtub fixtures, replacing kitchen appliances, fixing/upgrading a light fixture, repairing screen doors and sliding bedroom doors, and a few things here and there. I am not sure but this is probably best suited for a handyman as opposed to a contractor interested in more large scale projects.
Thank you very much.
I would like to do the following.
1. Repair the soffit where the four window awning was removed and a place where a kitchen range hood is installed.
2. Front and back exterior doors to be capped with aluminum sheets.
3. Downspout needs to be diverted (currently going into the weeping tiles.
I'd like carpet removed from three staircases in my house, including the wood and nails that hold it down. Total number of stairs = 34. However, I would also be interested in extra carpet removal from the narrow entranceway and other small staircase-adjoining sections if there is wood beneath. Online estimates only. Thanks.
Hello,
We're seeking a contractor to strip the paint from a red brick Victorian era townhouse (14ft wide property). There is also a plaque that says "Berry's Terrace" that would need to be carefully stripped (see image). Looking for someone with experience at doing this.
Thank you,
Craig

Needing some help @ our condo on the Esplanade, downtown Toronto.
We have are several Handy-man types of jobs.
Some of the odd jobs inside our condo include, painting, changing faucets, some plaster or cocking type of work, followed up with painting over the repaired areas. There's actually far too many small tasks to list here.
I have snapped some pictures that I can email.
Call us €œany€ time, (morning, noon, night,), your call will be welcome.
If you happen to get our voicemail, make sure to leave a message.
Ideally, we would like to get help in the next few days - the sooner the better.
Hi, I've got a small job that I'm hoping a handyman can do at a reasonable price. Our range hood is not vented, but apparently is a model that has the capability to be vented to the outside. I'd like it vented through the wall (outside is vinyl siding). The hood is already installed, so I'm guessing it would have to be taken down before making a hole for the ductwork/etc. It will be a short distance through the wall! I think 6" diameter connection according to the manual. I can send pictures to finalize the quote, but I would like an initial quote to help narrow down my selection.
Thanks!
A yard gate was left open to blow in the wind. subsequently the tap-con screws have cracked and broke off a portion of the brick causing the gate to fall off the wall. The brick (one brick) needs to be replaced and the gate re-mounted to the wall in the same way it was. The hinges were bent severly and will need to be replaced as well. Job-site at Duffferin/Rogers
