Have a large maple tree. There is one medium size branch, (about 5" diameter at the base, about 15' long) that broke off and is hung up on another branch about 25' up. Need this removed. Also have some branches extending down and just touching the neighbours 2nd storey roof. Would like the tree examined for safety and branches that could be dangerous to our house or the neighbours house removed.
In the past week, much of the top of this cedar tree fell to the ground. The tree is at least 30 years old. Until this year, this tree has been fine.
Is this the recent drought and high heat?
What do I do now?
Is the main part of the tree OK?
Do I just shorten and reshape the tree?
"We have a tree of heaven that needs to be removed. The base splits into two trunks after only about 2 feet off the ground so it's tough to tell which diameter you'd use. Each individual trunk however is about 97 cm around which would make it 30.9 cm in diameter. Tree is about as tall as a two-story building."
Hi Pros - we have a 36" diameter tree stump in our backyard. I have hacked away a number of root segments but my tools aren't strong enough to cut through the main stump.
Unfortunately, there isn't room for a full sized grinder. Access to our backyard is limited to a walkway that is 26" wide at the narrowest point. I expect the job requires a specialized grinder, manual cutting, or both.
I've attached photos of the stump (tape measure shows 36") and access point. If you need additional measurements or photos please let me know. Thanks!
