Enlarging a lower level family room 5' wide by18' wide' has a steel beam that would require being boxed in, has 1 door opening.
I would frame wall and drop for beam
Also quote price for framing.
Please quote a price, would estimate doing in either January or February
Thanks
Hey everyone,
We have a small war time 1 1/2 storey home about 750-850 square feet and looking at having a dormer added to increase the size of the 1/2 top floor.
I’m aware the foundation may have to be strengthened to do the addition. However I’m looking to see why it would be to have the dormer framed, ply wood, windows/ siding leaving the interior unfinished.
It looks like it will be 30 feet wide by 8 feet deep
Thank you
Our master bedroom will be extended 9x14 onto an existing deck that is structurally sound and can be added right on top of the deck. All that needs to be done is to knock down a wall and drywall, install windows and a door. Flooring and painting will be done by homeowner. Outer wall will either be vinyl siding or stone(price considered).
The bathroom wall will be extended 3ft into the existing master bedroom on the opposite wall. That wall will need to be drywalled. The plumbing in the bathroom will have to be rearranged, but only be roughed in as we will be putting back the old tub and toilet until we find what we like.
Old home in South windsor requires extensive renovations. Seeking quotes due to extensive renovations thinking may be better to plow home and rebuild. Need to do a back addition to expand kitchen (will require a whole new kitchen) and add family room with a fireplace, re-adjust existing rooms on main floor ( 2 existing bedrooms converted into one large bedroom), second level addition to include 2 bedrooms and bathroom, dormers, will require stairway to get up to second level, House requires all new windows, residing, roof with 2nd floor addtion. Front entrance needs redone as well as porch. One of the original homes in this area around Roseland Golf Course. Most things in this house are original eg. windows. Will need to renovate garage as well, requires new siding, door and window really rough condition.
House is currently 980 sq. feet with main floor and basement. No renovations that we are aware of.
Haven't any floor plan designs. Would like quotes from both contractors who do renovations and buiding so I can get an idea of what would be best. If rebuild looking to rebuild a 1 and 1/2 storey house.
Just looking at options currently. Want to get quotes on what we need to get accurate financing. Financing amounts will depend on how extensive we can renovate at this time. Want good quality work at affordable pricing. Not looking for extravagant renovations clean and simplistic. Will not reequire a tone of detailing.
I don't have any pictures at this time.
Not sure what information required as again quite a bit of work required so on-site visits probably good idea for this home.
We are considering building a large addition on the back of our existing side split house. We would like it to be a 2 storey addition with basement, around 25 x 50 in size. it would include two bathrooms,, large living area and 2 bedrooms. I am wondering the estimated cost of completion for average finishes.
