Our home has a cement porch, next to the cement stairs running for a couple of feet the previous owner had repaired a horizontal crack and at the northeast corner of the house there is some verticle cracking (not connected two seperate areas for repair). Would like a quote to inspect and repair the cracks. There is no water in the basement, but they are pretty protected from rain and snow. Need quote for service and estimate on repair date.
We have front stairs that either need to be: (a) re-poured (concrete) to be widened or (b) have the stone walls that line the stairs (partially) removed up to the landing area (entry area) and have the current stairs capped (making them wider). The issue is that the stone walls up the stairway do not have marble (or similar product) at the base where they meet the steps. The concrete steps then had sand and bricks layered on, which over time soaked up moisture that also soaked into the stone wall (rather porous stone). This has caused the stone walls, at the base where they meet the stairs, to absorb water and flake away at the bottom. We had the sand and stone that was installed on top of the concrete stairs removed last year, which is how the issue was identified.
We also want to replace the builder stairs in the back of the house. Currently, we can't open both the french doors to the outside because the second door doesn't have any stairs to go down... we also want to add a stadium seating off the stairs.
