Hello,
We have just replaced the flooring throughout our house and require new baseboards. Our house is approximately 1400 square feet and would need baseboards on the main level (kitchen, sitting area, entryway and small bathroom), as well as up the stairs, and throughout upstairs (3 bedrooms with closets, and 2 small baths).
We would also like new countertops installed in our kitchen and the 3 bathrooms in our house to compliment the new flooring. Our cabinetry is good as is - we would just need new countertops to fit over the old cabinets.
I understand that you would not be able to quote on supplies as measurements would be necessary, but how much approximately for the labour? How many days would be necessary etc.?
Thank you!
Christina
We are hoping to have baseboards installed on our main floor ASAP (next week?). The main floor is about 1100 square feet but only needs the main room and bathroom (600sq feet?). It's primarily 45-degree cuts and three stairs to the back door.
Cabinets under the sink - use existing cabinet doors and fit under sink - I have attached pictures for reference.
I am seeking someone with some carpentry skills and baseboard installation experience who can fix up a baseboards project that my flooring company was not able to successfully finish.
The baseboards have been painted and stained, cut, and put in place for the most part. There is about 30 feet of baseboard in the bathroom (stained knotty pine in the vanity area and painted white in the shower area) that should ideally be scribed so that the baseboard fits fairly flush to the tile floor. Right now, three of the baseboards (four to five foot long) in the bathroom have a gap in the middle of around 4/16" to 5/16" between the bottom of the baseboard and the tile floor. Easiest way to fix this would probably be to sand (such as using an angle grinder with coarse 60 grit or so sanding disk) along the scribing line and then put clear caulk under the baseboard to close the remaining gap.
There is also about 8 feet of baseboard along a carpeted living area and maybe 10 to 20 feet of baseboard in an adjoining hallway (near furnace and garage) that could use some repairs and fine-tuning. The installer did not have much experience in doing corners, so some corners will need to be redone and some white "Dap" perhaps used to fill some spaces at the corners and to fill some nail holes. Most spectacularly, there is a transitional corner outside the bathroom where the carpet (in the main living area) is about a half inch higher than the adjoining linseed oil linoleum in the hallway and the installer did not know how to make the corner. My thought was to do something like scribing again and measure the difference in height between the two different surfaces and cut that amount off the bottom of the higher baseboard (on the carpet) so that the tops of the baseboards line up at the corner and the baseboard on the carpet (with some cut off the bottom) will look like it is sunk into the carpet. And then some of the other nearby baseboard in the carpeted area would need to look similar, so the eye does not notice a big difference in height. This is the thing about scribing, that if you scribe one baseboard to make it fit the floor, you may need to scribe the remaining baseboards to make the tops of the baseboards line up.
And there are some baseboards along the steps leading to the garage that could perhaps be fine-tuned or replaced. And, again, clear caulk should go under all the baseboards to try to seal against water. So, not a big job, but one that would require some skill with scribing and cutting baseboards and doing corner pieces. I can supply pictures, since this is a little hard to describe.
We're looking for a quote to have our basement carpet removed, replaced, and some baseboards replaced. There's possibly some drywall that may need to be replaced along a few bottom sections but we won't know until we remove the baseboards. There's also window casing that needs to be replaced in 2 rooms. There's approximately 800sq of carpet in the basement.
I am looking to have the second floor of my home that is currently 2 bedrooms plus an office (approx 700 sq ft) to convert the office into a walk-in closet. Closet organizers have already been purchased from Ikea. Also would like the current closet wall to be removed to incorporate additional space to the current half bathroom. Will require window replacement, install laminate flooring (already purchased) and casing and baseboard.
Our immediate needs include 2 projects in our home in Summerside (Ellersile Road):
1) Basement Wet Bar - Install new cabinets (upper and lower); laminate counter top; re-align existing electrical to accomodate new microwave, mini-fridge and sink; complete plumbing hook up from existing rough-in.
2) Mud Room - Install or build cabinets; replace existing utlity sink; and build upper shelving and bench seat which can accomodate shoes and coats.
Other jobs to be determined based on results, availability and budget.
We've looked at the ready to assemble kits, but they look small and we would like something with enough space and height that my oldest can enjoy it as a tree house while my youngest still uses the swing set. I found a picture online but couldn't connect it to any plans or information. Please send us an estimate if you could build this for our backyard. We do not want the covered slide. We would just like a railing there. Also, swing set doesn't need to be that long. Room for 3 toys is fine.
Thank you.

We have a 600 sq.ft condo that needs new baseboards in the kitchen, closet, living room and bathroom. My estimate is about 60 feet of baseboards. I have picked out the baseboards I like from home depot. I just need someone to paint/cut/install. I had laminate flooring installed last year and there is an area along the edge where the underlay is uneven/overlapped so the plank drops when you step on it. I have a few extra planks so I'm hoping that can be fixed too.
We have installed vinyl tile ourselves in the kitchen/entrance but may be interested in having a contractor install the rest in the bathroom depending on the cost.
Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about a custom project. I am looking to have a foldable outdoor table built and was wondering if you would be available to take on this project.
I have a detailed plan that I would be happy to share with you for reference when building the table. I would be interested in knowing if this is something you would be able to construct and if so, what the cost would be.
Please let me know if you need any further information or if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Nimo

This is a small job that needs to be completed soon. Refer to pics for more details. The landing would need to be extended to the wall on the right.
I am looking to get some white exterior window trim installed around approximately 8 windows for the upstairs of my bungalow. I do not need anything fancy and imagine that even vinyl could be suffice. I am looking for something around 4" wide with a flat surface (nothing fancy).
Thank you

Finishing work in kitchen: re-install 1 kitchen cabinet, make 1 custom cabinet door, facing to finsh areas where the pre-fab cabinets did not address. Finishing around pocket door. Trim around closet approx 112" wide. Install plate glass mirror, 3x 35"x83"(approx) onto a wall. I have the mirrors already.

We're need our front steps replaced. We ripped off a deck and removed the original concrete steps that were underneath. We like the look of aggregate concrete steps but are unsure of the advantages/disadvantages/cost compared to going with building a set of steps using composite. Also looking to have an aggregate concrete walkway from the steps to the driveway poured.
I would like to add a hidden door to my existing walk in closet door. I would like it to be a bookcase door but to open the door you push inward instead of pulling it outward.
There is the framing done already and the open-way of the existing closet door.
Could you please supply me with a quote of how much labour/materials it would cost.
My max budget is 500$.
Please advise if it's doable.
A picture of how i'd like it to look is attached but will be light grey. I can do the painting to alleviate additional costs.
Thank and looking forward to hearing from you shorty.
