I am inquiring on behalf of the elderly parents. There house ia a 2 storey home that has cracks in the walls. I think it may need telepoles. The back steps are toast. They were concrete. I believe they fell apart because of the pressure of the house.
Could someone come out to look at the house?
Hi
I am looking for an estimate to do a front sidewalk to our house. I was wondering if you do the Edmonton north area?
Or can you tell me what would be your price per linear foot. I think our sidewalk is about 20 to 30 feet. We would be interested in getting a price for regular concrete and colored. The ground would be ready upon the job being started.
I look forward to hearing from you.
We had patio stones layed three years ago and the stones on one edge (approx length 12 - 15 feet) are starting to shift do to settling and winter heaving, looking to have them relayed before the rest of them loosen. Our front walk has a 4’ x 2 1/2’ concrete slab that has a raised corner that needs re-leveling, “tripping hazard”.
My front step has sunk a little bit and this has caused water to drain backwards under my veranda instead of forwards and this has caused my front veranda to sink in a spot. Its a minor shift but enough to potentially cause some damage. Looking to get my step lifted back to proper grade and lift the deck up a tad more to level. See attached photo for location.
Hi,
I would like to get a quote for my Mother's house, she requires some sort of coating / painting for her front concrete steps to her home as well as railings. There are approx. three steps, there was some kind of brick planters that were on either side of the top of the steps that have since been removed. There is some residual concrete or mortar that is still left over where the brick planters were, this may have to be removed before a coating process. She may also eventually need a small concrete pad next to the steps to accommodate a lift for her wheelchair / scooter.
If possible could you give me a quote for the following jobs:
1.) Refinishing the steps with some sort of coating and installing railings
2.) Pouring a small concrete pad (approx. 5' by 5') to the left of the steps to accommodate a lift for her wheelchair / scooter
3.) Possibly replacing the steps with new finished steps
Please include a breakdown of the costs for each job so it makes it easier for us to decide which option to choose, ensure to include all prep., installation, and finishing costs.
Please contact me with the quote info. and with any questions you may have.
Thank You!
Parking pad about 30 f long and about 10 to 12 feet wide (width is depending on utilities locations, to be marked soon), to be built between the existing garage and the fence, along the fence, to enter from the backlane. On that location now is a road crush, leveled to the final grade. Total width between garage and fence is 16.5 feet. See photo. Concrete or paving.
There is a space off our alley that we'd like cement put in for a parking pad (to extend the space we currently have behind our garage). The space is approximately 4 meters by 3 meters (12.8 ft x 9.6 ft).
We are working to have the large, loose rock on site removed prior to contractors doing any work. Also, the walkway between the garage and space to be paved is in segments that probably should be taken up and re-paved as part of this. There are 3 of these paved walk-way segments in this space. Dimensions approx. 2 ft x 5 ft.
The sloping of the concrete in front of my two car garage door and man door (on side of garage) needs to be redone to allow drainage. Currently water pools in both places and leaks into garage (where there is no drain) and freezes or gets moldy. I think the whole concrete pad in front of the man door needs to be re poured. For the garage door, I think the best solution would be to dig a trench and install a half pipe or grate to allow drainage into the laneway. Alternatively the strip along the door could be reported. The garage faces perpendicular to the lane way with a combined driveway with next door neighbour.
Our driveway is over 5 years old, and it's lost it's color. When they initially poured the concrete it was the wrong tint, therefor they remedied by spraying a color on it. It needs to be redone. We have stamped on our front stoop, small pathway to driveway and to slivers on each side of driveway. The driveway itself is aggregate.
We have 5 steps going up to the front of our house that have crumbled away. We are interested in there removal. We are hoping to put wooden ones in its place. Depending on quote we would maybe be interested in you doing both. Our house is about 50 yrs old. There is a whole in the steps cause my husband was trying to figure out if the stairs were tied into the house. Anyways if you could call in the evening to speak with him he could give you more information.
We have a concrete step at the back entrance of the home that teeders when you step on it.
The step is not broken it is a solid piece. It is a one step up about 5' x 6'. It is a hollow concrete step on at the back door of a 1/2 duplex. The Southwest corner of step is lower than the Northeast corner. I can not remember if it was attached to the duplex or just placed on the ground.

I require a fence across the back of my yard. The length is approximately 33 feet. It requires a gate for the driveway, about 14 feet wide, and a gate for the sidewalk, about 3.5 feet. I would like the driveway gate to be a rolling gate, if possible.
The ground at the site will require levelling and it appears there are chunks of concrete to be removed, that a previous owner left there.
To make a sidewalk which starts from the main entrance and goes along the house. About 120 sq.f., roughly to be installed 40 by 3, though the width is less near the window well. Non continuous, as there is installed stairs in a middle that goes to a side door. Stairs and concrede pad under not to be removed. Grounds to get soon rough grading and then final grading.
We moved our back entrance from the side to the back of our house. There was a wooden step and platform at the side door which was removed leaving a large rectangular space (5'x10') that has no concrete along our side walkway. There is a bit of an elevation change between the concrete pathways on either side of this dirt space and it is currently both an eye sore and a hazard. Hoping you might be able to help me out with this. Thank you in advance. (Allendale area - southside of Edmonton)
Hello,
I have a sidewalk that needs replacement (60 years old). This includes removal and disposal of old sidewalk, preparation of ground, materials that would go under the sidewalk and placement of new standard size sidewalk blocks. The contractor would supply the blocks as well. This approximately 45' of sidewalk.
Have concrete sidewalks attached to basement wall. The ground under sidewalks has sunk in areas up to 4/5 inches in an area about 40 feet long, causing a large void under the sidewalk and back steps. In addition to the walks now being fully supportted by base ment wall joint, I also have problems with mice in these voids.
Need some ideas with estimated costs to fill these voids.
House & sidewalks ~ 20 years old.
Need a stamped concrete walkway that starts from top of front driveway and follows along the side of the house to the back into a rectangluar concrete pad. Will also need another small concrete pad in another area in the backyard as well. Area for total job is about 360 sq ft.
Looking for competitive quotes for the following:
Cost of labour per sq ft
Cost of concrete per sq ft at 4.5 inches deep
We can go from there.

I had part of my basement finished a few years ago with new cement and floors. I found water coming up somewhere from the floor. i cleaned most of it up but can still hear water underneath the floor. the water only came in where the new cement was. looking to see what i can do to fix this problem. and so it dose not happen again. (the house is old (1912) with a step foundation if that helps at all?)
