Good afternoon.
My wife and I are looking to re-landscape half of our backyard.
The area is roughly 450 ft2 and currently features a groundscape of 1.5 - 2" limestone, with 3 large shrub clusters throughout. It is adjacent to a two-tier paving stone patio, which we would intend on keeping.
We are looking to remove the limestone and replace with a larger-tile paving stone floor, and to also replace the three large shrub clusters with different accent plants (or a combination of accent plants and 1 water feature). There are a few smaller shrubs that we’re inclined to keep. We have some ideas in terms of paving stone style and colour, and potential plants/trees, but would certainly welcome expert advice and perspectives as well.
The project is mainly to make this part of the backyard more dog-friendly given a recent family addition, and make the space a little more open.
Please email or call if you require anything further in preparing your quote.
Regards,
Daniel
I need a contractor to give me a estimate to finish incomplete work in the basement (baseboards, door casings and window casings and wear and tear on my pond after the winter months (obviously the pond cannot be worked on as winter season is coming up and is not feasible to start work on right now.
Would like current garden area converted to landscaped brick/stone patio area with vegetation ringing the main area. Current perenials need to be relocated, some tree installation and a barrier wall installed. Current slope needs to be modified to more flat surface in conjunction with barrier wall. Also interested in a pergola installation once patio area/vegetation install is complete.
Current sand base (approx 35 ft) - dries quickly
two loads of back fill (with clay have been spread to aid in water retention for lawn
One load of dirt was brought in in error - piled along the sides of the lot
Partially forested
sloped currently - needing leveling
2 year old house
Have had previous contractor - who leveled but created a negative slope (back to the house) and who augered for sonotubes - creating caverns due to continual removal during auging
Need payment arrangement - to ensure final grade approved before full payment

I would like help with the removal of the plastic weed barrier to be removed underneath it all and in place a cloth weed barrier the rock only to be put back preferable washed. I would also like a few taller spruce trees planted along the driveway. I have also a dead patch of grass that needs to come up and the dirt underneath to come up. top soil to come in place with new sod. It would be ideal to have the grass on a separate quote.
i have a newer house (1 year) with rough grade only. I require final grade, tree/s, sod, rock, deck, and possible paving stone and fence. I;m looking for a quality company or individuals who could help me out at a reasonable price. Willing to help out with the labour if possible.

Looking at removing all existing concrete sidewalks, approximately 150 ft and patio, plus two concrete steps. Also removing approximately 150 ft of fence and existing topsoil and lawn. Would like to install approximatly 150 ft of 3 ft wide sidewalks and import new top soil and sod. Would also like to build approx. 150 ft of new fence along with a new front deck (approx. 6ft X 16 ft) and 2 decks in back (approx. 10 ft X 23 ft and 8 ft X 14 ft).
Hi, my backyard for duplex is about 1000sq ft. How much is the concrete pad for half of the backyard size or how much per sq ft (for both brushed and stamped concrete) Is it possible to have concrete finished for duplex? How much to do stairs to the ground concrete from backyard door? Also, there's slope in my backyard. Is it more difficult to do a concrete pad with the slope? How much extra am I looking at with the slope? It's not too steep. Also, do you also do sod? If so, how much per Sq ft? Thanks!
I have small landscaping project in Edmonton west end house. I am planning to remove approx 10 ft * 20 ft deck and replace with soil level finish area. Its a urgent project for coming weekend, 1st and 2rd of April. I am looking for somebody to help me put final grade around this area during this period. I can order white bag soil if that helps
Subsequently, Over coming days I am also looking to finish this area with either concrete slaps, grass or any other ideas you may have that makes this area look nicer. It would have been nicer to finish everything over coming weekend so open for such enquiries.
Please let me know if this interest you per your availability.
Need a large disposal bin for construction material (shingles, paneling, carpet, etc.) and for tree debris if no other alternative (such as chips). Need trees removed (2 large mature pine type), and possibly one large mature mountain ash ...not sure but was recommended to us to consider having it removed. Stumps are to be removed also. Finally, looking at landscaping of regrading away from house. Would like to start ASAP or around August 1- ish if possible. Or given a timeframe of when this could happen.
Looking for quotes on getting:
-sod
-fence (wood or to match the house)
-shed (built or assembled)
-flower bed wave shape
-concrete round area amongst the flower bed wave for a sitting area/firepit
-shrubs in the front to conform to the developers request (Crystallina Nera West)
-pebblestone to the side of the home where the sun doesn't shine
Start date: ASAP after June 30th (possession date of home)
We need a new fence 30ft long and a small bit (8ft wide by5ft) of yard graded properly and landscaping advice (we can do some of this ourselves, we just need advice on what would offer good drainage with low maintenance). There is also a section of 2 by 4 and the corresponding drywall on the inside of the furnace room, which is outside our condo, this has rotted and needs to be replaced. The type of fence we want is a low maintenance type but it has to be a color match of the existing fence- dark green. We own the condo but the project is our responsibility. Is this something that one company can do quickly and at a reasonable cost?
I am looking at getting some quotes to have my parents back yard redone. The back yard has been done in an English style garden and it is not very good for kids and dogs. I am trying to sell the house so need to have some information on the coast to fix up the yard.
Also there is a lot of nice mature trees and shrubs that I would like to know if they could be sold or used other place.
Homeowner needs Front Steps Replaced. Current one is of unknown age, made of wood and coated with faux stone. Has metal handrails that are bolted on. One side has disconnected as steps are tilted. Still sturdy but rough looking and needs replacement. Approximate measurements 8 x 3 with four steps. See attached photos. Open to options on materials but don't want concrete.
We have had a design plan for a newly remodeled home in Bonnie Doon and would like to start on some of the landscaping and hardscape before winter if possible. We are looking for quotes from reliable, experienced and reasonably priced companies who will guarantee their work and take pride in their accomplishments.
The job is to design and fix a front yard landscaping. The main area to be fixed is approximately 2.2 m2 - 2.4 m2, including selection of material and plants, purchase of material and plants, installation and planting. It is a basic landscaping job we want but we would like it to look nice and very low maintenance in the long term.
I have a large patch of mulch in my front yard from tree removal that I need landscaped. Ideally I am looking to have a weed barrier laid down with a rock cover and with ability to install drought tolerant plants in the spring. The area likely requires grading/mulch removal. I am looking for the most economical solution to improve the appearance, so I am open to other ideas. Requires completion this fall, if possible. I do not require any formal landscape design as I have had plans created in the past that could be implemented.
We are looking for quotes to complete supply and install of:
-Sod
-Flower Bed Rocks (looking for 2-4" limestone)
-Fencing
-Deck (14x16ft anticipated)
Currently we have completed final grade with certification, landscape fabric, shrubs and trees installed.
Regarding fence - we only require side fencing (back is already completed by the developer). The fencing must also meet the neighbourhood architectural guidelines.
I have a small job in the front of my house that requires a fixed gradation so water drains away from house. It presently slopes toward the foundation.
Specifically:
- free estimate of the work
- a look at my entire house to see if additional drainage mitigation is needed
- load of soil and materials needed to re establish a proper slope to the front of house
- sod to cover the front lawn and area repaired for the slope issue
I am reposting this add due to poor response from last year.
I have a rough grade done in my front yard. I need to fill by the house up 10-12" and slope to front sidewalk. Simple job of fill, soil, sod and a leveled patio block walkway (nothing fancy). Perhaps one tree as well. Yard is about 32' by 42'.
To lower costs, I am willing to put in as much of my own time as I can.
