We had to pull up 6 tiles (12" x 12") in our kitchen due to a dishwasher leak. We are looking to patch in new tiles but may have to replace the entire floor (hardwood and tile) as the subfloor could be severely warped. Total area is approx. 200 - 250 sq. ft.
We need someone to come out and let us know what our options are.
I just purchased a home with the main floor all dark tiles. I'd like to put in hardwood floors ourselves. But thought it best to go with a contractor for the tiles. It's one open area extended from a very small living area to the kitchen. No stairs. Total tiled area is a about 500 Sq ft Mabe less. I'm looking for an estimate on cost and hoping to preserve the subfloor by going with a contractor. Also wondering if I would be charged less if I got rid of all the broken removed tiles myself. I'm just looking for the cost of the removal not for any new floor to be put in :)
I have two bathrooms with tub/shower inserts I need tile done around the walls beside/above the surrounds. I also need a back splash installed.
I have the tiles, back splash is marble (geometric design) and the tile for the bathrooms is ceramic.
Start date anytime after May 22nd.
Hi. Selling our older house ( built 1962) and moving. Very old bthroom with likely original tiling. Tiles are popping off due to moisture infiltration behind them. Board behind is moisture-deteriorated. Not looking for an A+ renovation as we will be moving but certainly needs to look better or be made acceptable/modern. Not sure if a quick fix is possible or if the entire wall behind the tiles is damaged thru moisture. Could consider a new tub or something of that nature. Budget, I would try to keep within $5000 to $8000 but could go higher if job is worse than it looks at first appearance. But as I said, we are moving. Could we get someone to come out and give me some options?
Remove old wall board around tub, and install new tub surround. Standard tub -- 30", by 60", with wall height of 77". The tub has the faucets (three hole) coming in from the wall above the tub, so the tub surround needs to be modified for the shower head and the faucet.
Standard wall surround is preferred like a Maax Capri plus series 80".
Must have experience in tub surround installations.
I am the home owner and looking to do some minor repairs before listing the house for sale.
Hello,
I need to get two windowsills tiled ASAP. One is 9' at widest edge and 17-18" deep, has solid plywood board as a cill (bay window installed in Oct 2017), painted in white enamel paint, other one is 6' by 18" deep, has a bad tiling job, all wavy now, from past owners, bay window.
Both will be used for plants, hence the necessity to make them waterproof. I want the hardest tile surface (I see porcelain has higher hardness value on the Mohs scale compared to ceramic, glass or marble) and absolute waterproofing (some epoxy-based grout that never needs re-sealing).
Need to get this done within next week or two. The time is critical: unless the job can be done before outside temperatures drop to below +3C at night, by which time my plants must be carried indoors, there is no point in starting.
Can this be done?
My phone has confidential voicemail, ok to leave me a detailed message if no answer.
Thx,
Sincerely,
We moved into a house in 2015, and after several long showers we started to see water coming through the ceiling below. The shower is on the second floor and leaks into our kitchen. It is a great shower but from what I can see -- the floor of the shower was done improperly. The floor is about 7 feet long and 3 feet wide. Looking for someone who would come and re-do our floor so that we can enjoy our amazing shower.
We are looking to have hardwood installed on our stairs. Material not purchased yet (two sets of stairs, 13 stairs in total)
We also require tile installation in the entryway. We have the tile already, just need it installed (12x24 tile for 41 sq ft.)
**We are hoping to have this completed ASAP as we are listing the home to sell**
