We are renovating the outside of a clients house and they have asked me to find them a good contractor that can replace their existing deck surface. It is currently finished with Duradek but there are a lot of locations that will be affected by the renovations so the client has decided to have it replaced with fiberglass or another quality finish.
This will require a site visit and follow up with a firm quote.
Thank you
House is 28 years old. Outside front entrance consists of three joined 2x10's extending six feet off garage horizontally over walkway onto three joined 2x6 uprights on cement pad. Four separate 2x6's extend from house roofline onto the 2x10's. Problem: Lumber is rotting and needs replacement.
#1 Porch - new footings, posts, plywood, and deck covering. Clean existing railings. Approximately 36 sq ft. #2 Porch - posts, plywood, and deck covering. Clean existing railings. Approximately 144 sq ft. #3 Landing/Stairs 12 sq ft eight stairs, and wooden railings. #4 Repairs around bay window. Jobs will be done one at a time over ? # of weeks/months depending on costs. From previous repair of sundeck, local blasting has caused water to leak from deck through to garage underneath. Need to fix leaks, some remodelling possible and recommendations to resurfacing.
Sundeck located above attached double garage with access only from family room which is above ground level

My sundeck covers a double garage. It has a rolled vinyl coating and is leaking at joints right through the plywood underneath. During every rain water travels to the garage floor below. I want a repair if possible rather than a replacement, as I may be selling the house within a year or two. Budget-friendly quote with references for like projects please.
Present Deck has a Vinyl Covering, it is old and in need of replacement. Leaking has occurred so some of the inderlying material needs to be replaced and resealed. The SunDeck is above ground over the top of an attached garage.
Approx size of SunDeck is 220 sq ft in an `L`Shape
Age of property is 18 years
We are looking for a Quote, pictures can be supplied before visit
I'm in need of a new deck. 20'x20' and 30'x30'. So 400 sq/ft and 900sq/ft. Havent decided what size to go with yet but if the bigger of the two is a better bang for my buck I will go with that. The area is flat and the ground is pretty compact. There is no existing structures to deal with so it would be pretty straight forward. The deck will be built to the same level as an exisiting concrete slab which is about 5' above the area where the deck will be built. Please include the cost of any footings you may have to pour and do not worry about railings. Staircase is optional as it will be level with the exisitng concrete slab. If you do include stairs make them as straight forward as you can. A quote using cedar is preferred but if you'd like to include pine as an option please do. I hope I have given enough information to get some ballpark figures and thank you for your time.
