Hi there,
We recently moved into a 4 year old house in Burnaby. Unfortunately there is water pooling on the floor in our master shower, presumably because the grout was not taken up enough in one corner. We would like to have the shower floor redone to make sure that water is draining properly. Your expertise would be appreciated!
I am seeking a skilled contractor to undertake a comprehensive renovation of the master bathroom in my townhouse to transition it from its current outdated state to a contemporary and sleek design.
Size: The bathroom is approximately 8ft x 6ft.
Preferred Materials:
Flooring: Porcelain or ceramic tiles, preferably in a neutral or light shade.
Countertop: Quartz or granite with under-mount sink.
Cabinetry: Modern-style, wall-mounted vanity.
Fixtures: Brushed nickel or matte black finishes.
Shower: Frameless glass enclosure with rainfall showerhead.
Additional features: Interested in adding a backlit or LED and anti-fog mirror.
Specific Skills Required:
Tile setting with experience in both floor and wall tiles.
Plumbing for the installation or relocation of fixtures.
Electrical, for potential lighting or heated floor installations.
Experience in modern bathroom designs is highly desirable.
Ownership: I am the property owner and have the right to make modifications.
Interested contractors should provide a rough estimate, timeline, and any portfolio items showcasing similar bathroom renovations they have completed in the past.
R and R small bathroom in a 40 yr old wooden framed condo. Remove sink, vanity, tub, toilet, tub surround, tile in bath tub area, lino, wood base boards. Install vanity, sink, toilet, tub, tile (or maybe surround) in tub area, floor tile, schluter trim on tile edging (instead of base board). May be some rot in toilet area flooring. Need it done asap.
Top 3 items on our list:
#1 - Open up (or remove completely) the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Will require a new pendant exhaust fan installation and flooring transition repair: tile in kitchen and hw in dining.
#2 - Renovate the master bedroom ensuite. Replace everything and perhaps steal from adjacent bedroom closet for more space. It's currently a small 3 piece with very limit storage. We want to replace the small tub with a shower and move to dual sinks.
#3 - Refresh the main upstairs bathroom. Nothing major here, just new counter top, refinish vanity, new mirror.
Bonus projects (if we find more budget...):
- Update the vaulted ceiling in living from popcorn to wood.
- Foyer refresh
- Solarium refresh
- Replace front deck covering

We live in a basement suite and are looking to totally redo the bathroom as well as the three outer walls that share one side with the bathroom due to excessive water damage, mold, and fungus. Originally the bathtub was not properly sealed so water has leaked through all sides of the tub and into the walls surrounding the bathroom. One wall is shared with the kitchen, pantry, and the under stair storage area.
Relatively small project: I've purchased a frameless glass sliding bath door and need someone to do the installation. In addition, I'd like to mount a corner shelf in the shower; a handheld shower bracket; and also have a medicine cabinet to be mounted on the bathroom wall. (Small new-build condo) Thanks
We would like a professional to install a new shower stall in our basement suite bathroom. We have removed the existing, damaged one and found that there is some rotted wood under the stall and it also needs new drywall. It is a little too big for us to do on our own and we already have a new tenant getting ready to move in! I have the measurements for the replacement showerstall so just need to pick one out. I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
This project is on 12th floor of a 30 year old condo in Burnaby. Needless to say, the cabinets are a little bit outdated. The floor was tiled about 7 years ago and the appliances were brand new then also. We may consider replacing the stove and dishwasher depending on the quote. We would like to replace all cabinetry, plumbing and lighting. The space is approximately 6x10 (this is a guess, but it's SMALL). We would prefer granite counter tops and are open to redesigning the layout as long as it meets the requirements of the strata. There is a narrow pass through above the sink that we would like to expand and/or eliminate the overhead cabinetry to open this up.
The bathroom is similarly sized and also has the new(ish) tile. We want everything (tub/shower, toilet, vanity, mirror, lighting, shelving, whatever) replaced except for the floor tile. Since this is our only bathroom, this needs to be completed very quickly. We would like to leave the tile but it was done around the vanity, so the replacement vanity will need to be the exact same size.
We want modern looking cabinetry, fixtures, everything. Dark cabinetry and complimentary counter tops would be great. I suppose if it isn't too expensive, we would consider the flooring also.
