A Better Landscaper

We were very impressed with not only the quality of the construction, but also the manner in which it was carried out. The start and finish dates were adhered to.The work crew were well trained, knew what they were doing, worked quickly and efficiently, tidied up each evening and were very courteous and obliging.

At the end of construction the site was left clean and the entire work came in on budget as originally quoted.

As a consumer one could not ask for a better out come.

Don and Lily's company, A Better Landscaper, is one that we would recommend without hesitation for the following reasons;

1) We received a quote in the fall of 2015 and the price did not change as the work was completed in May 2016 and was very cost effective.

2) The crew were on site from the beginning to the completion of the job, no coming and going to other jobs.

3) As the job progressed several changes were made seamlessly and without additional costs.

4) Any recommendations were explained and the options were also explained.

5) There was a great attention to detail.

6) Cleanup of the site was extremely good and extended off our property to the street area.

7) The crew were friendly and courteous and willing to discuss all aspects of the job.

We would certainly use A Better Landscaper again should the need arise.

Don arrived right on time to look at what needed doing and discuss the project, was very open to our input and explained everything he anticipated needed doing very clearly

Before the project was started Don came over and discussed exactly what the process would be and explained about the permits that he had obtained.

The team arrived on time on the start day and got stuck into work straight away, and boy, did they work !!

They were given access to a bathroom which was much appreciated by them but were so respectful knocking before coming into the house and removing their work boots. The guys were pleasant to have around, polite, hardworking and had great senses of humour. We never thought for one minute they would be working until gone 5 everyday ! We loved the way they cleaned up as much mess as possible before leaving every afternoon,

The project took seven work days from start to finish and not once did we regret our decision to use Don and his team, you could tell by watching them that they really took pride and enjoyed their work. Even our neighbours were complimentary about their work ethic and manners.

We would not hesitate to recommend "A Better Landscaper" and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Don and the guys did a great job on our elevated deck and concrete aggregate patio. The quality of work was excellent.

The scope of the work was large, we had an old 50ft2 deck torn out and replaced with an elevated 400ft2 hardwood deck, covering over a concrete patio, with built in hardwood planters. Although it was a sizeable job, Don's guys maintained high quality finishing and craftsmanship throughout.

We have received numerous compliments on both the deck and concrete patio below.

Don and the guys from A Better Landscaper did a fantastic job on our back fence and retaining wall replacement. The were working on my neighbours place and I approached Don about doing our's as well. Although he was already booked up, he agreed to squeeze us in while he was there. This could have been an excuse for a rushed job, but quality was not sacrificed. My wife and I were, and still are, extremely happy with he job. Every time I use the new back gate, or drive down the alley, I smile and think how lucky we were to stumble upon A Better Landscaper. Great work Don. One more fence replacement to go, and I plan to use them again.

I moved into a new home last year, and desperately needed to finish my backyard, since I have a dog. I found A Better Landscaper on Google, and arranged for Don to come out and give me an estimate.

Being a first time home owner, I wasn't really sure what to do with the backyard but Don took the time to explain my options, and more importantly patiently put up with 10000 questions.

I was more then impressed with the end result, the quality of work, and the cleanup when everything was done exceeded my expectations. Don and his crew ended up doing a fence, laying sod, and a stamped concrete patio that is the envy of my neighbors.

Price wise, A Better Landscaper wasn't the cheapest, but they also weren't the most expensive, but after looking at positive reviews online, along with an A+ rating with the BBB I feel that the quality of work was well worth it as opposed to a fly by night Kijiji contractor.

Don and his crew showed up when they said they would, and kept me updated with any delays that came up ( weather, materials etc. ) I would definitely call Don back for another project should something come up in the future.
