I engaged Stager Stacie Chamberlain for advice on how to prepare my century-old, two-storey home for sale. She soon arrived with tape measure and notebook and proceeded to go from room to room. A few days later she returned to discuss her proposals for upgrading. I agreed with most of her suggestions including removal of old wall-to-wall carpeting and sanding and refinishing hardwood floors, new window treatments, and some new furniture pieces that would later fit into the smaller rooms in an apartment or condo.
Stacie then prepared a contract outlining details of work to be done and estimates of cost, for further discussion and signature by me.
She then found workmen to lift the carpeting and a professional company to sand and finish the floors. She then accompanied me to shop for needed textiles and furniture, and accent pieces to match the decor.
All Stacie's staging turned out to be common sense and practical with a view to presenting my old home to best advantage at the lowest possible cost.
I have been very pleased with the outcome of my contract with her.

Your property has just seconds to impress potential buyers or they will just move onto the next listing. You can easily understand why selling a house is a highly stressful undertaking and can easily become overwhelming."What do we need to do?", "Should we repaint?", "Why should we invest more money in a house that we are trying to sell?"; these are all relevant questions that we can provide answers to. We help you invest wisely in your house with the goal of getting the highest return on your investment.
Using the most up-to-date staging techniques we ensure that your house really stands out on MLS listing photos. We help you create a house that will appeal to potential buyers and create vignettes that will help ensure that buyers can make an emotional connection to your house. Your house may be everything a potential buyer wants but, if they can't envision themselves living there they will move on to the next property.
If you are selling your property, staging prior to listing can result in your home being valued higher than an un-staged property and reduce your carrying costs by selling quickly. Another benefit of staging is that it greatly reduces that chance that potential buyers will ask for price reductions in fact, if well staged and priced right, staged properties often receive multiply offers.
If you are a REALTOR, staging can eliminate listing properties before they are ready and help prevent price reductions as there are no longer numerous "little things" that need to be done by the potential buyer. Staged properties typically sell much faster than un-staged properties meaning that your advertising costs can be reduced and you get to keep more of your hard-earned commission.
More and more REALTORS are including home staging consultations as part of their unique marketing plan and greater numbers of home sellers are demanding that their REALTORS include staging as part of their service. Stay ahead of the curve, start recommending staging to all your clients.
