If your not a rich person forget using these guys. 723.00 dollars for just over a hours work. They charge by the job. As soon as he arrived it was like dealing with a Lawyer. Need credit card info: First. Charge the 129.00 Dispatch fee before he'll even talk to me. Goes over what the problem Might be and a list of options to be paid up front anywhere from 450.00 to 800.00 dollars!! Less if I enter into a further contract to pay for yearly service. I'm on Disability and told him that I'll take the bare minimum.... Goes on for 10 minutes about tree root problem when theirs not a tree within 20 feet of where my line comes in!!! Personally I think he could have fixed the problem with a plunger and coil they use for drains. Never given that option. Thank goodness I found the Drain cleanout as he wanted almost 300.00 more for 30 minutes work to lift the toilet if I hadn't found it. Charged me 133.00 extra to fold back the carpet and sloppily replace some baseboard a five minute job. But he had my Charge card info!!!! Just glad when I got him out of my house!!!

The first thing that is concerning is that your review was posted 6 months after we did the work for you. We are not sure why you waited that long as it does not allow us the opportunity to fix anything that you said we did improperly. It also allows time for details of the call to be forgotten...such as your comment that it took an hour only. We have on file, which is recorded in our database, that it was not a one hour call but that our technician was there for over two hours without including the drive time to and from your location. After a while details like that become hazy.
The first thing you mentioned was our dispatch fee which we apply to every call we do. We apply a dispatch fee which covers the drive time to your house, a diagnosis of your issue, and a complete explanation of your options. All of this we do for a small dispatch fee while other companies would charge you an hourly rate which would certainly cost you more especially on the Saturday that you called us. While other companies charge overtime rates we do not. Our dispatch fee goes up by a small margin on weekends but the investment to do the repairs does not change. Everyone else would charge time and a half for an after hours weekend call. The dispatch fee was thoroughly explained before we came out and approved by your signature still attached to your file upon arrival at your house.
The technician certainly went over all the possible reasons and issues that he felt you should know about as you mentioned. We believe people should have complete control over the issues in their home and in order to do that they make sure you are fully educated. He then went over all your options and allowed you to choose what you felt what was best for you, which you did and once again signed with your approval which is still on file.
Your final comment that you were glad just to get us out of the house goes against the feedback you provided at the time of the call. We make sure that everything was done to your satisfaction which was once again signed off by your signature.
We are sorry that you feel the way you do. We are confident that our technician, who has 30 years of experience, came out to your Saturday emergency call, went over everything thoroughly, offered the options for you to solve your problem, fixed the issue, and made sure you approved everything in writing before we started, did everything to make sure you were taken care of.
While it is unclear why you felt the need to change your mind 6 months later and post this review it did allow me the opportunity to respond.
I do thank you for your past business and hope that my recap of the call helps to remind you of the value we brought when we fixed your issue on a weekend while making sure you got to approve every step of the process.

I have been using Capital Plumbing & Heating for the last few years for our plumbing and heating in the house. The level of professionalism, friendliness of the staff on the phone and overall quality of work have continued to impress me. They've re-done the plumbing in my 1954 home from the bathroom, kitchen and stack as well as maintained both the furnace and water heater over the last few years. This is the most terrible experience I have ever had with the trades!! I am currently looking at an unfinished holy horror in my basement and this has been going on since July of 2015! I have been calling continually, the most recently November/15 for someone to come out and finish my bathroom. I have called the office and been told someone will contact me - nothing. I finally got a call from Richard, the plumber doing this job, and he gives excuses, he even told me not to call the office any more! What kind of customer service is this? Not sure if you people belong to the BBB but I definitely will be reporting you. Richard says he's not getting paid for the job now because they misquoted on it, could this be the problem? Why would management (the owner) not step in and take charge to make this experience right? NO ONE has ever called me or approached me on the situation or what the hold up is or how we can fix this. They have taken my money and left me with a mess!! If I do not get some response to this I will be contacting the media and BBB. Shame on all you!
