Terrible service from Carval Contracting. Don't hire this company and never deal with Carlos Burgos and Melissa Leggieri.
They poured concrete foundation and it's not level. I hired concrete cutting to cut the concrete wall level.
I believe the review of Silverio. Never hire this company if you don't want to spend more money for repair and worst quality of work.
We signed a contract back in August 2021. He took $40,000 upfront did two days of work and he disappeared for over a month. Made such a mess of my backyard took another 40,000 from me. He dig the hole for the retaining wall all the snow and rain melted filled up the hole with mad and he poured the concrete without an inspector in top of the original contract was for 82,000 he completed 40% of the work demanded another hundred thousand in top when I told them that was not part of the contract he just walked away leaving me a mess here that’s gonna cost me over 140,000 to finish his mess he’s not an honest person, do not hire him. And then posted my project on his Facebook and saying another project completed by Carval Contracting.
Hi Silverio and Tina,
My company takes pride in our work I personal myself would never harm a client or harm my business's name. I have to respond to you review because you have been harassing us and bad mouthing my company.
We have multiple emails going back and fourth discussing this matter but unfortunately you just don't understand. The client wants my company to take the blame which I will not accept. I can gladly provide the emails so everyone can see the truth.
Silverio was supposed to supply the drawings stamped by the city not Carval. Our scoop of work was the demolition which was completed, Retaining wall, excavation and footings which was also completed.
The reason why the project had pro longed was due to the fact we did not receive the drawings from the client which we kept asking for. We did not proceed in till we had the blueprints.
The job site got shut down due to the fact that the client had built him self a car garage and car pool OVER THE CITY PROPETY Cleary the client is use to doing work without permits.
I strongly discussed this with the client that we don't not work without city permits.
Carval Contracting Inc will not build anything that is not signed by an engineer due to insurance reason. This is the reason why we make sure every client has drawings.
The engineer came back with the drawings and he requested double the size of the footings which requires more concrete more rebar and he requested the retaining wall to be 1 foot.
You need to understand I can't build a retaining wall based on what you tell me to build I have to go based on the engineer drawings like I said its due to insurance coverage reasons. Due to the engineer requested double the size of the footings we had to charge him extra on the material the amount for the extra charge was just for material not labor I did not charge the client extra on the labor which I could have.
Its unfortunately that the client Silverio and tina don't understand that their blueprints have changed and it's double the work that is out of my hands, MY COMPANY WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT PAY FOR YOUR EXTRA MATERIAL THAT IS REQUIRED BY THE ENGINEER.
We had a payment schedule signed with the client which he did not respect, Full equipment was on site ready to continue the next steps but Silverio and my company did not come to an agreement, We don't work on promises.
The client paid for all the work that was completed. The picture's that he provided were all false and was taken when we were on site doing the demolition goes to show you the honesty of this client trying to bash a hard working company that takes pride in are work the only reason we would ever walk out on a job site is due to non payment on behalf of the client.
Also I would like to mention that the Engineer had to walk out of the job site due to the threats that Silverio was making against him, The engineer didn't want to show up for the inspections on the footings we had to beg him to come back.
I attached some photos of the site we definitely made sure we left the job site clean, My workers had took those photos for us to confirm with us that they cleaned everything up. I'm very glad we took those photos to show the truth rather then the clients lies showing photos of the site when demolition was being performed.
We are honest and a fair company its truly unfortunate that Silverio was not a happy client but like I said in pervious emails we were tryin to come to an agreement with the client but the client kept telling us he was going to sue us due to the fact he was upset that he had to pay extra on material that was required by the engineer.
Thank You
